We were allocated rooms in their newly decorated wing which were spectacular. Everything you could ask for. Lifts to all floors so no carting bags up stairs. Staff were friendly and helpful. If I stayed again I would ask for an ocean front with a terrace in the new wing.

The hotel is currently upgrading the outside of the building and so we looked out onto scaffolding. However will be beautiful once done and they are obviously investing into upgrading the building inside and out. Wasn't really an issue for us.

I was welcomed warmly when I checked in and given a gorgeous room. The room was very spacious, clean and luxurious! I had a nice view of the marina down below and the bed was very spacious and comfortable. The free breakfast was a lovely gesture.

My only complaint would be the attitude of a member of housekeeping; I had my door opened before check-out and she poked her head in and slammed the door shut. That wasn't an issue but it would have been nice if she knocked. The previous night I was very sick so I stripped the bed out of respect for housekeeping; I opened the door and I tried explaining to the same woman as stated above and she looked at me and then shut the door of the room. I felt this was very rude.

Marco Pierre Whites Restaurant! We got to the hotel about 8pm and into the restaurant about 8.15. Offered olives and bread without being given the menu and not advised we would be charged for them. From sitting down, It took an hour for our first and only course to arrive. Thought my fish was huge but it was mostly batter, peas were tasteless. Had to ask where hubbys sides were and again tasteless peas, supposed to be buttered and potatoes were still hard. Honestly not what’d I’d expect from Mr MPW. I don’t think he’d be too happy. Must say though that the serving staff were apologetic and very nice.

Location (close to the ferry, easy, walk into town to catch the bus to Canterbury Cathedral, or the train to Leeds Castle) very reasonable price for a taxi to Dover Castle), Customer service was quite good.

I was unimpressed with the meal that I had at the hotel restaurant. Everything else about the hotel was pretty much OK. Dover itself, was a little bit baffling. One example is, when I went to buy tickets for Leeds castle from the ticket booth at the train station neither one of the ticket sellers even knew what Leeds castle was. The tickets they sold me got me to the castle in about two hours for what should’ve been a one hour trip. Beware of relying on the train ticket sellers. Buy your tickets to Leeds Castle online. In fact, I would suggest buying all train tickets online. These two guys were not the sharpest blades in the Dover drawer.

Service was very friendly and efficient. The room (on the 4th and top floor) was fairly cramped and dark from small boxer windows, but it was comfortable enough and functional. Lower floor rooms would likely be better. The hotel had an excellent bar and bar food with a wonderful view over the harbour. (It also had what looked like an excellent restaurant, judging from the menu and setting, but we opted for the more informal bar.) Parking was good and only a short walk from the hotel. The best thing though was the ability to cross the frontage road onto the promenade where we could take a lovely walk along the sea-front. It's hard to beat that. And access then to the ferry terminal (our purpose in being here for one night) was easy.

The room was a bit tired and tucked away under the top floor with boxer windows it felt a little like a student dormitory. But it was ok for the night and served its purpose well.

The room (standard double) was newly furnished in a tasteful decor. Bed very comfortable and the large TV well placed for viewing. The usual tea/coffee & biscuits were provided. The buffet breakfast was commendably extensive and catered for a wide range of tastes. All staff encountered were friendly and helpful. The location on the seafront is ideal being relatively traffic free and a short walk to many points of interest.

Whilst the room felt spacious enough, an oversized chair partially obstructed access to the bathroom, though given the layout there was nowhere else to put it. In the bathroom, an over large shower enclosure limited the space around the sink. However the new fittings and decor did compennsate for these minor issues. The evening menu in the restaurant was disappointing for vegetarians and those not keen on spicy food.

A great location on the sea front. Very handy for Dover Ferry port. Loads of free parking and a hotel car park. The hotel is being refurbished if offered an upgrade I recommend you take it as the refurbished rooms are excellent very large and some have a sea front verandah which is superb as I could see my car on the well lit street which suited me perfectly. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the hotel has a good bar and restaurant. They are a bit short on alcohol free drinks for adults but their selection is better each visit. I never consider any where else when coming to Dover its a perfect overnight stop well priced and convenient.

A few more non alc drinks choices would be good.

Very lovely team of staff at the Hotel. Very helpful in sorting any issues immediately. Apart from Lift all facilities were in good condition, lovely room deco, very clean. Spa treatments received were exceptional on both days, Sunday and Monday.

Noise on day two which l assume was from some renovation works taking place in parts of the hotel. Unfortunately Spa treatments not as advertised in marketing materials in the hotel. Apparantly the hotel does not have the updated brochures. The actual treatments received were exceptional. Great customer service from the Spa staff at Reception and those providing the services on Sunday (10/03/2025), really lovely. Receptionist on Monday (09/03/2025) not very welcoming

We spent 2 nights at the Dover Marina Hotel, and overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect and right opposite the beach and close to the town. We were pleasantly surprised by all the facilities the hotel had to offer. The Churchill Bar is beautiful, the coffee shop is a really nice place to stop by if you have a busy day ahead, and we weren't sure what to expect from the Spa but the massage I had there was fantastic. We were a little disappointed by some of the food in the hotel restaurant, but the atmosphere was great and staff were really attentive and it's still well worth a visit. Our room itself was a bit smaller than expected, but suited us just fine for our short stay. We were given the option to upgrade to a sea view room at an extra cost but did not take it. We wish we would have done this because the views at the back of the hotel weren't great, but the sea view from the bar was exceptional. There was a bit of a bleach/drain smell in the bathroom but the bed was very comfortable, and our room was cleaned everyday and the complimentary teas/coffee and biscuits were topped up daily. They also provided decaf coffee which was a nice touch. There was a bit of refurbishment going on when we stayed so we don't feel like we got to see the hotel at it's best but the staff were very friendly and accommodating and we had a great stay overall.

When we checked in the staff were super friendly and showed us where all the facilities were and advised how to access them etc and asked if we needed any further help. The room was great overall, only issue is the guests in the room next to ours were chain smoking on the balcony and even with the doors closed the smoke repeatedly entered our room, we are non smokers so this was really quite unpleasant.

The staff in the morning were not quite as friendly as when we checked in. The hotel had closed the front doors for them to be cleaned we asked if they could open them so we could put some bags in the car which was parked directly outside but they just ignored us and we had to go the back way meaning walking down the street and back just to get to the car which was 20ft away. I only mention this as I have mobility issues and I wasn't feeling well that morning. As mentioned previously the guests smoking on the balcony adjacent to ours meant we were unable to sit outside or open any windows etc, even with them closed our room became unbearable with cigarette smoke. We asked them nicely to smoke away from our door but were ignored.
