Don't let the picture of the exteriour deter your from booking this hotel. It is fully renovated inside. There is a refrigerator in the room and even welcome cookies and instant oatmeal. The shower stall would be large enough for even a large person. I am quite small but in budget hotels in Europe, I have encountered many shower stalls that I could barely turn around in. The room with double bed was small but there was convenient shelving large enough to set a 22 inch suitcase on, so I didn't have to share the bed or limited floor space with my suitcase.

It was great. My only suggestion for improvement would be that a microwave for use by guests would be much appreciated. It could be made available in the unused lounge are on the main floor.

They were a little overwhelmed when we arrived as there were many other people also arriving plus checking out at the same time (mostly for a cruise in Dover port) and the lobby area is quite small with not a lot of room for loads of luggage! But they were very accommodating and had our room ready a lot earlier than check in time which we really appreciated. Lovely big comfortable bed. As said in other reviews, it has been nicely renovated so everything is clean and new. Good shower. Plenty of places to eat nearby, we especially enjoyed the Calcutta Port Indian restaurant just around the corner and fish and chips at Sunrise restaurant on Pencester Rd. The Prince Albert hotel not far either for a cold beer or two. Opposite Maison Dieu which looked very interesting but we ran out of time to visit (free entry). Very happy we chose the " deluxe" room as it was bigger than the other rooms.

The only little problem we had was the toilet seat was loose and wobbled a lot, just a minor maintenance thing.

New hotel in Dover's town centre, within easy walking distance of the train station and bus stances. I arrived in Dover at 1pm after an overnight journey from Scotland, but staff made my room available to me prior to the official 2pm check in on that basis. Thanks very much for doing this for me 👏 The premises has been given a complete makeover at some expense prior to it's recent opening, and the bedrooms looked and felt fresh and modern as a result. Despite this, the price which I paid for a double room at short notice booking was exceptional value compared to other premises in the area at that time. Staff were polite and helpful throughout my short stay and that made me feel like a welcomed customer.....very refreshing 👍 As for Dover itself, I've previously lived and worked in the area so I knew where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do during my stay.....primarily visiting old friends and socialising with them 😉 No complaints about my stay in this hotel, which is excellent value for the price that I paid. Keep up the good work guys, and good luck for the future 😉

It had a relaxing atmosphere and the staff was extremely attentive to our needs. The room was clean and spacious. The air conditioning controls were very accurate. Generous condiments were left for guests. The mini frig was large and worked great. Our room was on the 3rd floor in a block of 2 rooms.

The elevator didn't work and at our ages it was a hike up 3 floors. The staff helped us with our bags as a courtesy. There was no furniture in the room but the main bed and a side bed which should have been a couch or comfortable chairs based on the room size. They switched the size of the bed from king to queen without prior notification. They claimed their king room had plumbing issues. They had a great deal of construction and maintenance going on during the day in a very narrow entrance. There was no automatic housekeeping during our stay.

Ideally located close to bus stop, shops. A short walk to the Dover beach, while not being in (what could be) a busy seaside. The room was very nice for a solo traveller, on a short stay. They let me have a slightly later check-out, which I really appreciated. The connected TV was a nice bonus! As well as the AC, which could be handy when UK gets warm. Lights by the bed, also a plus for me. Overall, a great option for a short stay in Dover, with clean and newly refurbished furniture.

I don't believe i saw the breakfast option, which could be nice to have. But close shops and coffee around are an easy fix! The plus was not by the bed, which is not a massive issue per say, but I personally like to have my phone at reach when being away.

The room was slightly smaller then what we had expected, but overall it was lovely, cosy and warm. The location is nice, right next to police station but there wasn't any disruptions during our stay. Receptionist was lovely, helped us extend our stay and provided us with all the necessities that we needed throughout our stay. Lovely area and the hotel is nice and cosy, beds are super comfy and rooms accessible.

When we came into the room there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, this was from the drains, my partner managed to get rid of the smell. The shower honestly only had the settings hot or cold, very easy to knock it and make the water ice cold or scorching hot. Only other issue is how close the fire alarm was to the bathroom door, I like to have hot showers, accidently set the fire alarm off as it was right next to the bathroom door. Parking is also a slight issue we took our car and were constantly worried about where to park.

Room was clean, elevators were a big help. Good location in relation to town.

We booked expecting a refrigerator in the room and there was not one in the room. My wife specifically stated we needed on and were assured at booking we would have one for her insulin injectors. Upon arrival we were informed there was not one because the “new management” decided to take them out. As a solution they made a refrigerator available behind the front desk but it was terribly inconvenient to go down a floor every time she needed to take an injection.

Modern build inside, spacious, smart TV 📺 kettle with a few items to go with it. Put drinks in the fridge, and they were ice cold. The cost was £50-£55 per night. Shower all modern. The perfect location is very close to a cafe which opens 7am. Everywhere in the town was closed at this time. Very close to the train station. Location quiet and Police station on the same road. It is important to learn about the bus stop outside the guest house. Dover Castle is worth the visit e.g. buy the tickets, there are a lot of different buildings inside the castle wall 🧱

Dover is a poor place, they closed down kfc, McDonald's. Lots of very quiet shops e.g. gregs, Be extra careful when walking 🚶‍♂️ around with luggage 🧳 and don't wear tourist clothes.

Recently renovated, so all looks like new still. Room had lots of useful things in it: Smart TV and kettle with coffee, chocolate, cookie, and porridge for breakfast as well as a water bottle. Location is useful as lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Two car charing points in front of the hotel, so great if you drive an EV. I was able to leave the car there overnight while charging, and had a full charge next day.

Internet was a bit poor with constant disconnections. Water pressure in the shower was not great. Someone had smoked in the room before us. There isn't any hall or common area in the hotel.

great location, short walk from the train station and close to everything in the town centre. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the room was very clean, smart tv, hot chocolate provided. check in/out was easy, was even able to check in a few hours early as my room was ready. a spacious showers despite a small bathroom. USB charging ports.

small/odd bathroom configuration, but that's not the end of the world. road noise/foot traffic was really loud. no bedside table, again not the end of the world just pretty annoying. bottles in the shower not labelled so I don't really know what was in them.
