Great location near Kielder Water, really fantastic food. The room was warm and comfortable with a great hot shower.

For our second night's meal we reserved a specific table in the bar area. We checked it was all booked twice and were reassured it was. We were even shown the booking calendar which said "do not change" in highlights. When we arrived that evening, the bar area was empty and a couple had been given our reserved table. Apparently, they visited regularly over the years, whereas we obviously didn't meet the hierarchy criteria. We did sit next to them at a nice table, but we felt annoyed. It was the principle. We felt like it was a total lack of respect for 2 paying customers who reserved that table first. We just didn't feel valued.

Extremely clean and well kept. Dinner was delicious.

Queen size bed instead of double. We stayed two mornings and on both mornings there were issues with breakfast. The first morning there was no muesli or fish therefore we had to change our order last minute. Same the next morning but also no jam. Order smoked salmon and got smoked salmon cooked breast rather than smoked salmon (had received smoked salmon the day before). Breakfast was lukewarm on both days.

Had dinner and breakfast. Wonderful locally sourced food cooked to perfection and washed down with an exceptionally pleasant Pheasant Beer at dinner and beautiful coffee at breakfast, and served to us by what I can only describe the most friendly down to earth people we have ever met. The pub and its staff are a solid testament to the well known hospitality of the people of Nothumberland. To top the experience the pub sits on Dark Sky so we simply walked out and saw an amazing sky of stars.

Everything was perfect!! The room was spotless, very comfortable and lovely and warm. The pheasant inn is well positioned for Kielder Water and lots of pretty villages in the area. We are at The Pheasant Inn both nights we stayed, the food, atmosphere and staff were excellent. The breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked for you and kept us full for the day. The next time we are in the area we will definitely be booking The Pheasant Inn!! Fantastic stay!!

Nothing to not like!!

The Pheasant Inn is a beautiful B&B - we splurged a little as it was a but pricey but we thought it was well worth it. The location is outstanding, honestly one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Room is perfect - clean and very well decorated. We opted to stay for dinner as there isn't much around, and we weren't disappointed! Amazing food - it made us excited for breakfast! So lovely to have a menu to pick breakfast items and have it served as 3 courses!

Nothing really! Only thing I would say is that the radiator in our room had a mind of its own! It was off, but periodically would seem to get piping hot!

The rooms were small but cosy and comfortable. The property is conveniently located near Kielder Observatory, perfect for stargazers. It has a charming, historic feel. The bathroom was large, featuring a shower with strong water pressure, which you don't usually get in old buildings like that.

If I had to be picky, there was no one at the reception when we arrived, and there was no way to announce ourselves, so we had to wait for quite a while. Minor inconvenience.

The food was outstanding. I ordered a starter, main and dessert and all three were excellent. The room was excellent. Nice and clean and tidy, no strange smells and everything in its place.

I had to turn the heating off in my room because it was like a sauna later on and woke me up. I managed to turn the radiator and heated towel rail off though so it wasn't too bad. The WIFi was terribly inadequate. I couldn't open any web pages on my phone or laptop, and it struggled to even open Instagram content. This wouldn't usually be a problem if it weren't for the absolute lack of any mobile coverage there.

Our family took up several rooms at The Pheasant Inn. It was nice that we could all be close and dine together in the quaint restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. Would drive out to the middle of the countryside anytime just for the food. The hotel is run by a family that is very kind and helpful. Wonderful service. If you’re looking for peaceful countryside with wonderful food, this is it!

Beautiful location. Somewhere we have been many times before but never stayed over. Comfortable room and bed. Lovely toiletries and stunning views. Nice to have digital services - iPlayer, Netflix etc - on TV. Superb breakfast (and we had dinner the night before - good, as always). Friendly staff.

Bathroom a little dated. Some things need a bit of attention, such as a loose toilet roll holder and one of the drawers in the chest needs fixing. Very little hot water at 7.30am but better later on. Quite expensive.

The staff were lovely: made you feel welcome and provided what you requested while service was very good. Food was excellent with a good choice both at dinner and breakfast. I have stayed in 4* hotels with less. The room, although smallish, had everythinbg we needed and the bed was comfortable.

Another chair in the bedroom to sit in and/or access to the Inn itself out of pours to relax in.
