No breakfast was provided so I usually head out to a nearby cafe. Other than that, I was happy with everything else.

The way I was treated with doubt over my 4-week booking, by being told I’d only paid for 1 night, but I then started to challenge this by providing all my documentation that I was not going to be challenged like that by anyone as I suffer from stress and anxiety and mental health issues. I have paid £1,040 from 27 July to 26 August and after this interaction that needn’t have been necessary, I will be booking somewhere else next year. No fan in room, which was a nightmare as it was hot weather.

It was at the quieter end of the town, although close to all amenities such as Wellington Pier, open-top buses, the land train, the beach, amusements, cafes, shops, the Pleasure Beach and the hotel itself has a public bar, live music - whatever you can expect from a seaside town, Great Yarmouth has it all! Great for families and the “little ones,” dog-friendly etc.

The walking distance from the town centre in the evening without the buses or trains running, meaning you could be approached by beggars.

We did not like the firsat room we were showed - a small familly room - when we wanted a twin with a bath tub. The host took us up to the 2nd floor and arranged a temporary heater as the storage heater unit in the room was not switched on. Much better room for us and a very big bathroom and TV set.

There were 31 stairs to climb that could be a challange as the lift was not working. The carpet on the stairs looked ver good quality and well fitted dispite having being down I would say for many years. I suggest either investing inb a carpet steam cleaner, renting one or bringing in a cleaning service to bring the carpet back up to a new and clean look. Breakfast was not offered but we found a very good Turkish operated cafe just around the corner but it is now going to close for a few winter months.

Spacious room. We had a fan which was kindly given on request. Comfy night stays. TV channels worked including GB News which we were amazed about. Toilet was good. Not too far from sea and easy access to floors despite no lift. Lights were good and switches accessible. Space for laptop and nice coffee. Shower was warm. The receptionist did offer to port the large luggage to the room which was also good.

Sadly no fridge or microwave. Plus not fault of the staff on reception but cleaners forgot to clean the room on one nights stay. It would have been great to have a plug socket near the kettle instead of leaning or stretching down the floor to get to plugs we had to use an extension plug for this. Shame there is no lift to the place. We did get an apology for the only room on the lower floor he could give he said that’s all he could do for us the staff member on reception said. The shower door was bit tight for anyone large that could enter the shower which could be a problem for some visitors.

The shower was superb , nice hot water. Value for money. This room was about £40 for the night about 100 yards from beach. What is there not to like. It wouldnt win " 4 in a bed " but be mindful how much you are paying compared to others. Nice coffee etc in room.

Parking ok during the week but on events , weekends may struggle as its " Free ' parking.

I got a free room upgrade so that was good. Spacious room, bathtub, comfortable bed and a sea view. They agreed to store my bags for the day even though they don’t normally do that.

I mean it’s a bit rough. Things falling apart a bit, but that seems to be the vibe in Great Yarmouth, everything is pretty worn out, especially at this price point.

I liked the room it had everything you needed also the man on the desk was really friendly Their was a few pubs and Wellington pier in walking distance I liked after the first night one of the room had a leak so their upgrade their room and moved them very quickly

I didn't like their were no bar so you had to go for a drink somewhere else or that you couldn't find a car space until the next day so you had to walk a distance to the door as the parking spaces are on the street which mean 4 or 5 hotels sharing the car park

£38 for a single room for 1 night, which was clean, quiet (except for the sea gulls!!!) with large ensuite. Better than I expected for the money. I was greeted with complimentary shower gel miniature and a good selection of tea/coffee stuff in room. Duvet was also perfect weight for season...sounds picky but I'm a naturally warm person and sometimes find hotel room temp a bit too toasty. So again, really happy.

At this price point, I think any criticism is a little harsh. Shower head was a little loose in holder, and bath mixer taps can be fiddly to use, but that's the worst of it, the bathroom was almost bigger than the bedroom. It also had a huge basin and bath. Honestly, I'd come back again.

Facilities in the room were good, plenty of tea/coffee. Shower gel, soap etc was an unexpected extra for a budget offer. Warm welcome.

Couple of housekeeping bits in the bathroom could have been attended to. Pillows were very thin which spoilt my sleep a little.

Staff were exceptional. Very friendly and approachable. Breakfast was excellent. It was more expensive than I expected but this was due to a car and motorbike weekend called Wheels which was completely free and a lot of fun. So all in all it was well worth paying the extra money.

In all honesty there wasn't anything I like. Everything is very close by and there's lots to do on Marine Parade. Beds were comfortable and the room size suited us perfectly as a family of 3.
