We liked everything. Very welcoming hosts ( and so hard working ) ,throughout the whole stay . The room had everything we needed and more , with a lovely Scottish feel to it . The food was of an extremely high standard . The whole ambience of every room was wonderful. This hotel absolutely made our holiday ( perfect for tourists ) .An absolutely great find

Fabulous 4night stay, from being greeted warmly by the hosts - good conversation and good sense of humour! Much appreciated. Comfortable room with extra’s, good selection of meals which were fabulous. Breakfast was amazing with a good choice too! We will do our best to go back again - loved it and a good base for walks and sight seeing. Brilliant!

Stayed at this lovely hotel for a night In July 2025 whilst walking the East Highland Way. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food especially the breakfast is first rate with a wide selection to choose from and an entertaining coffee machine. The room had all the facilities expected including complimentary drinks and a kettle. Highly recommended.

Cozy homey atmosphere. Staff were super nice and helpful. Very good restaurant with fun quotes and decorations on the walls. Comfortable king size bed with nice heavy covers. Large bathroom with plenty of shelves and counters to put your things on (most hotels have nothing). Lots of furniture like an armoire, a desk, and a sitting chair with a small table, all that made it a bit crowded, but it was nice to have.

Normally I don't write many reviews but I started this one before I'd even left the hotel. Really brilliant stay. The owners and the staff really do go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and make sure you're having a nice time, I felt really taken care of. I kept having to move my check in time back and they were so accommodating and understanding. I have dietary requirements (vegan) and they ensured that I was taken care of in that regard too. Plenty of options. Breakfast was great (cooked) and included which was fantastic with generous portions. The room was cosy, comfortable and well decorated and overall I felt I had everything I needed. The room and the hotel in general felt very 'homely'. The bar is great, many delicious beer options. Again the bar was very homely and I was worried that as a female solo traveller I would feel intimiated drinking/eating alone in a pub but the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. I wish every hotel stay I have could be like this, I'll definitely be back soon with my partner this time. Glad to have found this hidden gem. Special shout out again to the owners and the staff whose hospitality and kindness really made my whole stay a wonderful experience.

Very pleasant stay, clean and comfortable room. Staff very helpful and friendly. Proprietor very knowledgeable about the area and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety - freshly cooked, lots to chose from. Dinner was tasty, good value for money. Great stay, would definitely come back.

Nothing - wonderful stay.

A lovely room, friendly reception. Attention to detail apparent in all areas clearly visible. The staff were eager to please and hospitable.

My advice to the visitor eating in the restaurant would be not to try any of the more complicated dishes on offer. The steak and chips looked great, the chicken dish was not so great.

The hotel was good value for the money, our room was clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfy and the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Will probably be staying with them again on our route to the North of Scotland.

Everything was good as far as we were concerned.

Spotlessly clean and efficiently run. Comfortable bed in a spacious room, sitting area by the window. Good quality food and thoughtful menu with options for all dietary preferences (veg and vegan too). Breakfast cooked to order, good choices and great coffee.

The shower was very noisy - sounded like a jet engine!

* the location, just off the A9, was perfect for us on our house hunting trip. * spacious room with very comfortable bed and quality down duvet and pillows. Large en suite shower room with very powerful electric shower. * excellent cooked breakfast. * delicious, generous portions of quality bar food. * really friendly, helpful staff. * spotlessly clean. * competitively priced accomodation.

* the decor and furnishing in parts of the hotel is a little bit dated (though ongoing modernisation).
