Staff were all really nice, the breakfast was also really really. nice with generous portions and good coffee. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and is right opposite the station. Rooms were clean and well furnished.
We couldn't get early check in which was a bit inconvenient because we had a wedding that started at 2 (whereas check-in was at 3) so it was a bit awkward negotiating that. There's nowhere secure to store luggage so we had to leave ours in the lobby by the front door for a few hours which felt a bit risky but was fine. The shower in our room was a bit tricky to use and kept going cold but the pressure was good!

One of my favorite hotels across Britain! It is not a "luxury" hotel, but it is very pretty, the food is quite nice and reasonably priced (especially if you are "seniors," like us), breakfast was excellent, the staff are a-may-zing. The location across the street from the train station and on the same side of the street as the stop for the bus to take you to Cairn Gorm could not be more convenient. This hotel faces stiff competition from the expanding resort complex behind it, but I could vanish into this hotel and never leave. The building is so pretty and the squeak in the stairs beneath the tartan carpet is just charming. The hotel warns that their "economy" rooms, right above the bar, can be noisy when there is live music. We didn't take one of those, but we had no problems--the room was very quiet. The bathroom was more than adequate, with a heated towel rack that helps in drying your clothes. My wife and I absolutely loved it there!
Luggage storage--I wish they offered it for early arrivers. That is about all I can think of, honestly.

The room we had was quiet and peaceful at the side of the hotel, the bed was super comfy and everywhere was clean
I had originally been in touch with the hotel and was assured we were in a ground floor room, when we arrived we were told there isn’t any ground floor rooms and we were on the first floor and there’s no lift, I had a knee issue so wasn’t happy about this but couldn’t do anything at last minute I pointed this out and was just told they were sorry, the rooms are a little dated but very clean, breakfast was lovely and some of the staff were friendly

The location of the hotel is excellent for train, bus and car travel. There is a car park area and the hotel is situated in the centre of the town. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is live music every night which is great. The evening meal menu has a great selection and includes many gluten free options. our room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. I would certainly recommend staying here and we will be back again.
if I had to be picky, for those with no transport arriving early, the only downside is leaving luggage unattended in the front public area rather than secure behind reception or in a locked room. Definitely not a complaint just a point of note.

Breakfast full Scottish portions huge. However kippers option very disappointing. Kipper not kippers, infact it was only half a kipper. Dinner : portions generous, good choice of courses. Staff in restaurant done great job despite it being very busy Room: I paid for economy room so it was a bit on the small side (fair enough). Was informed room would be noisy as above bar but didn’t find it noisy at all.
See breakfast comment. Why no booking system for dinner. I had to wait nearly 1 hour before table available

This is a really delightful hotel, the local staff are so friendly and helpful as well as being properly trained, quite a rarity. The hotel restaurant was extremely busy with families as it was English half term week and lots come in from the surrounding campsites etc, the staff handled the numbers really efficiently whilst staying cheerful. The food at breakfast and dinners was excellent, generous helpings, properly provenanced with most of it from local sources, all of which are listed. Smoked haddock for breakfast, delightful! Haggis, venison, Scotch beef and really good lamb etc and plenty for veggies too. The accommodation was good, warm, very comfy bed. Our 'snug' room was perfectly adequate in size for a couple of nights, much better kitted out than a lot of much pricier places eg an ironing board, toiletries, the usual tea and coffee, plenty sockets for the good wifi. Plenty parking at the building. The bar is warm, wide selection of single malt whisky plus good beers, every evening seems to have some form of entertainment. Good location, opposite station, adjacent to bus stop for ski slope or buses to south or Inverness, shops. We know the area very well but this is the first time in decades that we've stayed but will definitely be back!
nothing.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of the town and opposite the train station. Aviemore is a very cute small town so it is easy to walk everywhere and the views of the Cairngorms is breath-taking. Everyone we spoke to in the hotel, around town and in the general area were just so lovely. The rooms were decorated with tartan checks and so cosy, great shower and bed and pillows were super comfy. The general feel of the hotel was so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was very good, really loved the haddock and poached egg, it was cooked to perfection. The staff were all very friendly, serving breakfast with a smile, those behind the front desk were all incredibly helpful and in particular a massive shout out to the bar staff; they really were very fabulous and friendly with fantastic banter and humour. The music every night was so good and the musicians were brilliant and very interactive. On the last night my husband was feeling poorly so unfortunately we didn't get a chance to say goodbye but thank you guys for making our stay so so good :-) We really loved our time here so much, thank you to ALL of the staff for making our stay so enjoyable xxx
It was perfect here, I can't fault a thing.

Delicious food, both at breakfasts and in the evenings. Lovely friendly, hardworking staff, big shout out to Ann and Jerry, both a credit to the team. Fabulous location. A beautiful hotel. A piper each evening is a lovely touch. Can't wait to come back.
Menu restrictive on a long stay, we ate out alternate nights, so this didn't actually become an issue. First come, first served dining is awful, I do feel residents should be able to book ahead if desired. Housekeeping staff are chatty and loud. They woke us most mornings. All staff need name badges. Saturday night was horrendous; a wedding party took over the reception area for a good few hours, we were made to feel uncomfortable coming and going to our room as the stairs had become seating. Couldn't hear myself think. The management really needs to think when booking in weddings at the expense of the comfort and enjoyment of the paying staying guests.

Lovely hotel staff were very friendly but the room was very small!! and I didn't feel it was worth £189.00 .However, it was clean and had what you needed. The bar area is great. There was live music and the staff were lovely. The food in the restaurant was amazing and exceptional value for money. The checking in and out times were a great welcome due to the amount of travelling we did .The breakfast times were also appreciated. The hotel is perfectly situated and we would stay here again.I just wished the room was bigger because we had a lot of bike gear.

Rooms were very cosy and equipped with everything you could need! Even with the snow outside the rooms were always warm and my partner and I never felt chilly. Staff were so lovely, we had tea in the restaurant and the staff seemed very busy but were still very accommodating and kind. The food in the hotel is superb!! We had a lovely meal with generous portion sizes! The breakfast was included and was a very good hotel breakfast! The location of the hotel is perfect for walking around Aviemore. The shops and other restaurants are within walking distance. There are many other areas around the hotel that are easily accessible by bus or car if you want to explore. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.
