Breakfast was excellent. Adrian, the host was friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee in the room was very welcome. The property is on the northern edge of Aviemore which is a 40 minute walk to the centre of town. We enjoy walking so this was a bonus for us. If it's wet you can always take the car. We would stay again if in the area.

Rooms 4 and 5 are in a modern extension and are not en suite. However, each has its own private shower room with toilet at the foot of a short staircase. You don't share! This isn't a problem unless you need to go multiple times during the night. I believe en suite rooms are available elsewhere in the property. Check with Adrian before you book.

This place holds the standards of a 5* hotel, squeezed into a b and b. The room was spacious and immaculately presented, breakfast cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble for Adrian, absolute stellar gent and host. Lovely touches like the tea cakes, biscuits, usb and charging plugs - refreshed every day, and always enough coffee and milk - something often overlooked by other b and bs. Location is perfect for all local amenities, especially the Cairngorms. The bed was very comfortable and fresh. I couldn't have asked for anymore. Cheers Adrian - you nailed it.

Leaving

Very friendly on arrival, also got greeted by a very sweet three-legged dog! Nice spacious room, loved the black out blinds. Room was a good temperature and also could change the radiator temperature if needed. Loved the location, off a quieter road so there wasn't any traffic noise.

Couldn't figure out how to close the window or if it does close. Wasn't such an issue as the blinds kept the insects out, and quiet location so not much noise. Can imagine it would be an issue if it was colder outside though.

First visit to Carn Mhor most definitely won't be our last , amazing B&B in Avimore from the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble for Adrian. The owner Adrian offers generous sincere hospitality and delivers thoughtful unexpected high quality extras not usually offered at B&B's.Location is fantastic only a short walk into Aviemore village and 10 minutes drive into the Cairngorms mountain Range , many more tourist places only a short drive away . Very dog friendly with a huge field behind the B&B and plenty of car parking space . Breakfast was piping hot and delicious with first class products used .Adrian was always on hand and so accommodating telling us best places to eat and advised us where to visit , always updated us on the weather in morning,nothing was too much trouble thank you Adrian for an amazing stay , we will most definitely be back and will highly recommend anyone looking for an amazing bed and breakfast to stay at Carn mhor . Look forward to next time .

Great host, great location, good value for money, delicious fresh breakfast and clean rooms with comfy bed.

Honestly if I had to nitpick anything it would just be that the shower could have more pressure and maybe upgrade the tv’s to smart ones so people can sign into their Netflix, Amazon etc accounts - but by all means it was fine, and not nearly enough to put us off returning.

The home is in a lovely, quiet, pastoral area. We had a car so easy access to town. Walking would be challenging. Room was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic! Host was off the property when we checked in but provided excellent directions and instructions. Was very responsive to my queries.

Didn’t realize bathroom was downstairs. It was private but was initially surprised it wasn’t connected to the room. Ended up being no problem whatsoever. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic B&B located a 15 mins walk from centre of Aviemore. We were in room 6 and the room was newly decorated, with private bathroom with fantastic walk in shower. Beds were comfy and room always restocked with drinks/snacks. Adrian is a great host with tons of knowledge of the local area and always has time for a chat and a laugh. Breakfast is superb. We had the full Scottish and also the porridge & pancakes. On our last night we had the cottage pie for evening meal and I can certainly recommend this too! Perfect B&B if you’re looking for a place in the Aviemore area with home cooked food and a comfortable stay. 10/10

Nothing to not like.

On arrival our car needed recharging. We had some difficulties with the various chargers in Aviemore. Our host immediately offered us the use of his own charge point. Breakfast was cooked to perfection..haven't had a better breakfast anywhere.

We missed the sign at the end of the road. We arrived in the dark. Not sure if it's possible to do anything that would have changed that.

We enjoyed our stay in Aviemore. This B&B was about a 15 minutes scenic walk to the centre of Aviemore. Our room was perfect for 3 adults and it was modern, clean and tidy. Adrian was very friendly and made us feel welcome. There was a variety of breakfast options available at a extra cost, all delicious and well prepared. It was quiet and scenic with free parking and wifi.

Loved staying here, was so comfy and clean. When you walk in it feels luxurious because it looks a bit like a hotel vibe, all white and modern. The bathroom was big and a very big shower - we stayed at a few places and found this was very helpful when you have a dog and going hiking. You have a rain shower option as well which was great! They replaced glasses and some offerings (tea, coffee, chocolate) every day. The bed was very comfy and there were sockets on either side, as well as USB ports. Location was really good, walking distance from the Aviemore high street, but also really good location to commute to other attractions. Didn't see the staff much as we were out a lot but the communicated all of the necessary details via messaging on the app.
