This is a beautiful house, renovated to a high standard. We were made very welcome on arrival, Mark gave us a lovely downstairs family room warm & cosy which had its own outside door. House has its own drying room for outdoor pursuits and Scottish weather. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was amazing cooked by Mark especially his pancakes bacon and maple syrup. Can't wait to go back thankyou George & Alexandra

Everything met our needs and within walking distance of shops and places to eat all very good.

Fantastic place to stay. Warm, friendly, comfortable, and clean. It was in a great location, close to town/restaurants. The hosts were very welcoming and more than happy to make recommendations of places to go and some fabulous walks! The rooms were a good size, freshly decorated, and beds were comfortable. There was also a guest lounge you can relax in. The breakfast had so many choices, and the poached eggs were some of the best I have ever had! Thanks, Chef!

I'm struggling to find something, but if I had to.. it would have been nice to have a top up of tea bags in the room when staying more than one night.

We stayed at Caingorm Guest House from Friday night to Sunday for a weekend of skiing and cannot wait to come again. Mark the host was so welcoming and the property is beautiful, everything you could need. The room was large and beautifully decorated, there was a lovely lounge with a fridge, really liked having the side access to the building so you are not tracking through wet ski gear, and the drying room was great. The best part was breakfast! Honestly the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, with so many options including vegan, all beautifully freshly cooked and loved talking to the lovely staff members with tips about how to ease sore legs after skiing. Also excellent location in Aviemore.

Couldn't fault anything honestly.

Loved our stay at Cairngorn guesthouse. Mark couldn't have been more welcoming when checking us in, and our rooms were really well appointed. The property was clean and immaculate throughout, with lots of local artwork adorning the walls, the beds were comfy and the showers excellent. Breakfast the following day was fantastic, all cooked by Mark with local quality produce, good portions and a wide menu of options. There's a communal room for residents to use, and we enjoyed a glass or two of wine before heading off to the local restaurants all of which are within walking distance of this centrally located guesthouse.

Nothing it was all great, and whilst we only spent one night there on our NC500 journey, we could quite happily have stayed for longer.

Great location in Aviemore for day trips to the Cairngorms National Park and Inverness areas. Mark greeted us, explained everything and showed us our room in a very friendly manner. The rooms were nicely furnished, very clean and the bed very comfortable. the only partial complaint would be that the shower stalls were a bit on the small side but the water was hot and strong and the bathroom was spotless and modern. The breakfast choices were great, the food tasted great and the servings were very copious. Given the quality of the rooms, location and breakfast, definitely a great deal.

Nothing really.

A very pleasant and informative welcome, room was small but cozy, and very warm, at times a bit too warm, but there was snow up on the hills, having a drying room was a godsend due to the torrential rain when we arrived, and with the room being so small not having room taken up with wet coats helped. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of dishes and was nice an hot which made a change from other hotels. Location was perfect as was within easy walking of all facilities and Aviemore was a great place to stay anyway.

Nothing of any note

Wonderful host who recommended a lovely restaurant nearby, good bed, good location, small but attractive room and layout. We appreciated the shelves in the bathroom and the provided hair dryer.

Good breakfast but surprisingly bad coffee. Could use more coffee/milk packs in the room. Nowhere to put luggage. There was only one tiny side table and nightstands in the room to put stuff. Most unfortunate lighting under the eaves on the street side that were so bright I needed to use an eye mask to sleep with the shade down (night lighting is bad for people, bad for animals/insects).

The bedroom looked newly decorated , it was tastefully done and had a comfy bed.Our room was small but we are fine with that . Shower was good . Breakfast was really good , no buffet, which we liked , we were served a generous portion of fresh fruit and natural yogurt along with porridge and nuts ( there were other choices ) . Then I had eggs and smoked salmon , the portion was perfect for me ( I guess 2 eggs ) . My husband had the veggie breakfast , that was good as well . Plenty coffee on offer. The host Mark texted me so I was able to contact him if needed. Check in was easy and quick . The lady who served us breakfast was very nice and friendly and she made sure we had all we wanted quickly. Everything was very clean .

There was very little to dislike , the shower wasn’t quite as new as everything else and the window in our room seemed to be quite old , in the morning it was covered in condensation, however going by the standard of everything else I’m guessing they will be replaced as soon as they can , as they are obviously keeping a very high standard in comfort and cleanliness.
