The staff were excellent, going above and beyond to meet my needs during my stay. They also helped me with accessing local services for minor emergencies during my stay, which made my overall trip as a lone traveller so much easier. Genuinely some of the most welcoming and helpful hotel staff I've met, and a real credit to the hotel. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean and quiet. Shower was hot and water pressure was great.

The room felt a little tired, and could do with a few touch ups to paintwork. The number was missing on the door, so at first I wasn't even sure where my room was. TV only worked through manually switching on at unit, so remote needs replacing. Front door to building was very heavy and tricky to get through with bags or cases. Overall though, these were minor issues and are things the venue could easily improve to give customers best value for money, but they didn't impact my overall stay.

Lovely pub in centre of town. Great prices for drinks and food. Excellently cooked and great selection. Esp loves the curries. Dog friendly...my pooch was given sausages for breakfast each day. Hot rolls such as bacon or sausage are available all day so don't worry if you miss breakfast Can't take dogs in their restaurant but welcome in bar and breakfast can be served in there too. No grass in immediate area but plenty of places around the town. Inc a good dog area near the rear of the hotel for giving a dog some exercise. Rooms are quiet despite the bar downstairs.

Ran out of some foods on the menu one night.

A very nice family-run hotel in a village close to the Cairngorms. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room size was impressive for the low price I payed. I spent a couple of nights here and it was a very nice stay. The car park at the back was very convenient, although the capacity was limited. The hotel restaurant is convenient, especially since it closes later than most restaurants in the village.

There is not much to say here, as the hotel is not lacking in anything crucial. The village itself is nice and quiet, but there is a limited number of restaurants and not much to do there, so I would not recommend it for a longer stay (although this has nothing to do with the hotel itself).

Delicious breakfast and supper. Very welcoming and friendly to small children, babies and dogs. Great central location in the town but even so the rooms were lovely and quiet. Easy parking on the road right outside. Staff were kind, friendly and helpful to guests. The beds were metal framed so a bit rickety and squeaky but the mattresses were pretty comfy, TV worked well and the shower room was a great size with plenty of room in the shower too. Grantown on Spey is a fantastic town with a lot going on. We attended our clan gathering at Nethy Bridge, the home of Clan Grant, and had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed the chief lighting the beacon to summon the clan to the international gathering next year!

It was a very warm/comfortable room considering during the nighttime it was -5 C. On New Year's day, there were just 2 staff members, 2 sisters. They did an excellent job looking after the hotel and pub. Hope they got their extra pay. Fire place in the pub was lovely

No hair dryer. Our room was quite small. We like to do hiking, so we struggled to place all the bags and big jackets. The shower was very in your face, not nice if you do not want to wash your hair. But very powerful.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The price is great value for money. The bar staff are excellent and very friendly , particularly to our wee dog Jinky. The management have become personal friends and we recommend the hotel on Facebook and to personal friends - we will definitely be back !

Nothing important. No hotel is perfect but we love the people who are so helpful and friendly.

Great location with off street parking- comfortable room and welcoming staff

The stay was fine. However, the written directions to the carpark are only partial- I.e how to find the turning in Grant Street, basically it needs a lead in sentence of ‘turn down by the Coop and take next left - then it works

Great location, just on the main road, but the room was in the back and was quiet and large enough. Brilliant shower room, looked amazing - just like the room itself. Modern interior. The bar was also great, with good selection of drink and food.

Nothing really. Maybe the location of the free parking - I had to go another round to find it around the block as it was difficult to find the entrance of it at the back between other houses.

Breakfasts were excellent. The many choices were great. A table was prepared for us in the bar, as opposed to the restaurant, so as to allow our pet to accompany us. The service was very efficient and exceedingly friendly. Even our dog was well catered for every morning. The atmosphere was always very warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The fact that we couldn’t stay longer.

Lovely hotel, great value for money. Stayed twice, on a Friday and a Monday nights, in different rooms. One room in need of an update other room very nice. Twin Beds very comfy, clean fresh linen and towels. All looked new. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Paid breakfast very tasty, good cooked choices. Limited choice on help yourself from 4 Cereals, fruit juice and toast. Breakfast can be slow.
