The greeting was very nice and friendly and our doggie was made to feel welcome straight away .The hotel rooms were very spacious and lovely comfy beds with lovely large bathrooms especially my double room number 9 .it was over looking the square and very clean. The staff in the restaurant were two lovely young ladies who were so caring and polite and both worked hard to make sure our stay was comfortable .they served our evening meal with smiling faces and it makes such a difference to see happy staff who take the time to make you feel special .which they certainly did .our meal was lovely . The breakfasts were absolutely delicious cooked to perfection well presented and served hot ...plenty toast and even sausage for our doggie who wolfed it down enjoying all the fuss everybody gave her . Everybody made our stay wonderful and we hope to return again ...the hotel itself is in the perfect position just opposite the green on the square .thankyou to everybody who made us so welcome .

Great location, easy parking, quick check in. Owners and staff very helpful and friendly. Small family run hotel in Scottish highlands so every interaction has a warm and friendly feel to it, from check in, buying a beer at the bar, asking for travel information, etc. Breakfast well coordinated. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.

Nothing to complain about. We were travelling through so the traditional old hotel delivered what we expected. It isn’t a brand name new hotel, so it has an older quirky feel to it. It’s exactly what we booked.

The hotel is dated however do not let that put you off staying. The Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic and very well priced, The hotel is clean and warm with plenty of charm. The rooms are well equipped with all you need for a stay . Hotel has parking right outside in a beautiful part of the village. Honestly for the price this hotel blew my expectations out of the water, I look forward to staying here next year.

Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I had dinner two evenings and I have to say it was delicious! Cannot fault the food or staff. My room was comfortable and the en suite bathroom was one of the biggest I’ve seen in a hotel. Set in a small village surrounded by the highlands which are beyond beautiful. Enjoyed my stay very much.

It’s an old building and the decor is fitting but could be updated a little.

The manager was very welcoming and kind. The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful too. The hotel room overlooked the village green and as we had superb weather, it was lovely to sit out in the sun and listen to the birds and peace and quiet of the village. The bar had a great selection of beverages and local whiskey. We were a small group travelling by touring motorcycles and we were well looked after. The surrounding roads and scenery was stunning especially the Spittal of Glenshee. A great place to stay if you want a quiet location, central to the Cairngorms and peaceful nights sleep.

The room was clean and spacious, but I would have liked a double bed rather than two singles (fell out of the single a couple of times!). There was a couple of lounge chairs in the dining area, but it would have been nice to have a dedicated lounge area to relax and talk away from the restaurant. But no significant items that I didn't like.

I wanted somewhere quiet after 3 weeks of travel and poor weather. The welcome and stay met my requirements comfortable warm dry and very friendly. So much so I came back again. Great price great food and lovely quiet village

Oh my goodness, this was the most amazing hotel stop on our trip. Lovely staff, sensational food, gorgeous room and my dog and I were made so welcome. Beautifully decorated throughout the hotel and spotlessly clean. 5 stars to you all

We loved everything and sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Location was convenient. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. Food was delicious and reasonably priced (breakfast was included). Leah was our server for both. She was attentive, hard working, pleasant and friendly.

Rooms are basic, but provide necessities. Walls are thin and unfortunately we had neighbors who were arguing.

Sited in middle of the village and close to routes so as to tour around... River was within walking distance for fishing purposes...lots of hiking, walking routes nearby...friendly staff and nice breakfast...

Everything was fine.
