This B&B is wonderful, whether you like whisky or not. But if you do, it is extra wonderful. There is an extensive whiskey collection and bar where whisky lovers can order their tipple in the evenings. The hosts are very committed to a lifestyle of hospitality and have made the place whiskey themed in a stylish - not tacky - way. The bedroom was very comfortable, bathroom very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was great - with a variety of choices. (Including porridge with whisky) This establishment is setting new standards of hospitality in the region.

Alexa is not for everyone...

The location is not far from town centre and the golf course. There are a number of nearby distilleries around the location which is convenient if you are planing for your distillery tour. The owner Anne and AJ is exceptionally friendly and helpful, we received the warmest hospitality during our two nights stay at The Gables Whiskey B&B. Anne and AJ has a collection of 575 whiskeys and vast knowledge in whiskey pairing. It was truly an exquisite experience. There are a few varieties of breakfast selections you can choose from, they are yum.

The location was amazing. Loved the views over the hills and valleys opposite. The room we stayed in was extremely well equipped with lots of lovely extras such as a TV that came up from the end of the bed, steam room and toiletries. We enjoyed eating outside in the evening sun and chatting with other guests. There is plenty to do in the area especially for whisky lovers.

The hosts AJ and Siebette were excellent! They were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The room with ensuite bath was great! Bed was comfortable, the space had everything we needed. The whisky tasting was phenomenal!!!! The breakfast and dinners they offered were top notch! We hope to go back again some day.

The host provides various options for breakfast and they are all delicious. Their Whisky Lounge has a wide selection of whisky. Not only the price for whisky tasting is good, the host knowledge of the whisky distilleries make for good evening conversation.

I don't like microfiber towels, just don't like the feeling and don't feel it dries water off well, but I understand that faster drying fabric is also better for environment.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming bed and breakfast in Scotland, run by a lovely Dutch couple. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The hosts were incredibly friendly and hospitable, and their knowledge of Scottish whisky's was impressive! The rooms were clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning, which was made with fresh, local ingredients and served in a charming dining room. Overall, I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting Scotland. The hosts truly went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, and their passion for hospitality and whisky culture shines through in every aspect of their business. Sibette and her husband was such sweet and warm people. Everything was in top 10. We felt so very welcome at their b&b. We are not whisky drinkers, but that was not a problem at “The Gables”. The breakfast was amazing, especially the homemade “granola” we would really love to come back again one day ❤️

There was a little bit cold in the evening. But we could turn on the heat in the evening.

If part of your trip to the area is knowing and experiencing malt, this is the place to stay. Exceptional hospitality, an even more exceptional collection of malts and some pairings of malts with venison that we'll remember for ever. Best VfM in all places we visited in Scotland.

Love the property. Easy to find using google maps. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, safe and with a in suite bathroom. Cleaning of room and bathroom was done daily with clean sheets and towels. Location very central within 5-15 minutes of most major distilleries. Great breakfast included daily a la carte with big portions. Dinner available for purchase at great price. Whisky bar in premises available for tastings with good selection at very affordable prices. Will definitely stay here again in future. To top it off amazing views of the country side.

Everything! Location, atmosphere, food and room. It was an amazing experience. AJ & Siebette were super friendly and keen to help at any time. The bar is just awesome, this is the place to stay for a Whiskylover, they have an outstanding selection to enjoy couple of drams at night. We will definitely have to come back again.
