Such a great place to stay when visiting the distilleries in Dufftown and/or Cairngorms National Park. The room was incredibly cozy and we didn’t have room for any lunch after getting a proper breakfast at the B&B. Even though the property didn’t serve dinner, there were plenty of nice restaurants close by. The hosts were also very kind and gave us great tips on what to see and do during our trip.

A lovely little B&B situated in the center of Dufftown with a Homely feeling created by the warm and welcoming couple Steve and Jo. They really make you feel like home with great rooms and a good breakfast with home made jam from the garden. Highly recommended by us. Many thanks from the Swedes.

Jo and Steve are fabulous hosts: welcoming, helpful and a delight to chat with during the four days of our stay. Our room was spacious and full of light, beautiful to awaken in with the beautiful days we had. The street is peaceful and the property near all the restaurants in town and the co-op.

I've never been a fan of the B&B concept but have never stayed in one either. Gowanbrae has changed my mind. The lovely couple who hosted us were friendly and pleasant, making sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the home is amazingly decorated. If you get the chance, I would highly recommend a stay here!

Steve and Joe were very friendly and generous hosts. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Location is fantastic for the whisky hospitality industry with many Speyside distilleries nearby. The nearby Indian restaurant was a great recommendation for somewhere to eat.

You couldn't ask for better hosts than Jo & Steve. We were made very welcome. Steves knowledge of Whiskey was fantastic and Jo's cooking kept us in good stride for a busy day touring the local area. Thank you guys so much. Haere rà.

There was nothing not to like

Jo and Steve are wonderful hosts, very mindful and friendly. Steve’s knowledge about whisky, the region and possible activities seem to be endless. We really enjoyed our stay at Gowanbrae. The homemade marmalade was delicious.

Excellent breakfast, our hosts, Jo and Stephen made us feel so very welcome. The beds were were very comfy. We would definitely stay at their lovely B&B again.

There wasn‘t anything missing.

It's a lovely b&b, big, comfortable bedroom with complete bathroom. In the room complementary thee, coffee etc and a little bottle of whisky. Great breakfast options, cooked by the hostess. Although we only stayed here for one night, we felt really welcome.

The male host was very stern. Made us feel uncomfortable when I was sternly spoken to for not placing my glass on the coaster. Oops! My mistake but felt belittled.
