I had a lovely few days at Old Mills Garden. Wendy looked after me very well and she is very warm and welcoming. She allows use of the microwave which is perfect if you are on your own and don't want to eat out alone. There is a lovely table to eat at with views onto the garden and surrounding fields. It is in a perfect position, walking distance into Elgin but equally on the outskirts on the edge of the countryside. There are many things to see and do in the area.

Wendy was a superb hostess - the best I have ever met on my many travels around the UK. She used her car to collect me from the centre of Elgin when I was in trouble [on my first night] and she kindly took me by car to the bus station on my last day - very early in the morning too. The area in which the property is located is sublime, and the landscaped garden was exceptional, with facilities afforded by garden furniture and a timber platform beside the house. The kitchen was accessible and Wendy permits guests to bring in food, provided they cleared up and washed up the items used for the meal.

Excellent location and very much a countryside feel in the middle of Elgin. Facilities are great which include shared use of a kitchen, dining area for Tea/Coffee and even a microwave should you wish to cook your own food. You can help yourself to supplied breakfast cereal as well. Room has a homely feel to it.

As a bit of an arachnophobe. I came across Spiders in my room a few times, but I guess you can't do much about that given the rural location.

Large house with countryside views. Easy to park on property. Comfortable room with en-suite bathroom supplied with toiletries. Adequate wardrobe and drawer space for my stay. Bedroom had full view of a large garden. Use of the kitchen and dining area for eating and drinking. Cereals, tea, coffee and toast available for breakfast. Seating in the garden and on decking area with lots of wildlife, birds, red squirrels to watch. In a quiet area with a pleasant walk into Elgin via the river.

Cooked breakfast not available but cereals, toast, coffee etc provided. Suited us well as we were happy to go into town for brunch. Wonderful outlook onto lovely gardens and birdfeeders next to the window provided close-up view of multiple birds having a great feed! Very comfortable bedroom Very welcoming, helpful and communicative host!

Both Oldmills Garden and Wendy are absolute gems. The property and room are spotless, both the room and Wendy are warm and welcoming and the location is perfect if you like natural surroundings off the beaten path. And one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept on! No breakfast suited me better, but there is tea, coffee, cereal and toast, so you'll not go hungry at the start of the day. It was one of the loveliest stays I've had anywhere. Will be back!

Quiet, relaxing location with excellent, clean accommodation. Warm and friendly host. Easy walk to shops, bus and train; car parking at door. Generous breakfast. Would certainly come again!

Room was very comfortable, there is restaurants local , shops are local and where old Mills is , lovely setting , fab views ! Lovely place to stay , great value for money , will definitely stay again when next in area

There was no external lock on bedroom door. So room couldn’t be locked when I left the property during the day
