The hotel is lovely, the staff are absolutely brilliant and really made the experience what it was. Food was top notch especially the Haggis and there are no words for the Whisky room. Will definitely be returning.

The rooms were far too hot with no heating on and no way of cooling the rooms other than to open windows but that was too noisy. The beds were too soft for my personal liking and I dislike feather pillows which is what you are given. There was am issue on our last day that meant we were unable to have the breakfast we'd paid for as we needed to leave and had been told the wrong times for breakfast which is frustrating.

The location is ideal for anyone who is enjoying the malt whisky trail. The hotel is very well presented and provides a very warm welcome. Ross was great and showed us round the hotel and to our rooms. The whisky selection is amazing and very well presented in a very relaxing and well furnished environment. We stayed for 2 nights so sampled a fair selection. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful with excellent choice and quality of ingredients. We also had dinner on the second night and opted for the tasting menu with the optional whisky flight to complement. Cary’s looked after us and was exceptional. Her knowledge of whisky’s was great and she was very attentive throughout the meal. Also compliments to the chef who prepared and presented the dishes fantastically, which complemented the quality and taste. The room was well presented, spacious and comfortable. It was a great experience and we are already planning a return visit. Very highly recommend.

On the second night it was busier and service at the bar was a little slow. That was easily overcome by ordering two drams at a time. That said the customer service and dedication of the team remained professional and we still enjoyed good interaction. Thanks again to Ross who was run off his feet!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Spotless and comfortable. Lovely food - good choices and a fabulous breakfast (so much so, I asked where the haggis was from and got one from the local butcher). Lots of copper and distillery-related touches. If you like whisky or gin, you'll be in heaven, especially in the amazing whisky lounge.

A strange 'complaint' to make but the room was too warm overnight ... down to underfloor heating and a much milder night than had been the weather. We did adjust the dial in our room and have the window open a little but maybe needed a central adjustment. Could hear a little noise from the road and the next door room (fan in bathroom which went off within a minute or so every time it was used). Price a little higher than expected in mid-Feb but you get what you pay for so it's a choice you make.

Rooms were nice, building was nice food was amazing, but you pay a premium for the very good food, so it should be amazing. All in all I was very happy with my stay, but I would expect to be very happy, as this is a premium priced hotel.

it's very expensive, had this not been a work event I may have stayed somewhere else Fire alarm went off at midnight and the onsite staff were unsure how to reset the alarm, there was also no guidance from the staff on site and I needed to inform them people had mustered outside and were unsure if they could return. This is not a criticism of the employee but the hotel should ensure their staff are trained for such situations and have an action list they can work through, prompt cards.... e.g. have all patrons been instructed to return to their rooms and not still stood in the snow...

Friendly, polite and professional approach to service. Excellent food from the restaurant (dinner and breakfast). Worthwhile trip to stay here for whisky tasting, trail or the 10 course taster menu [they also do a 5 course], which can be accompanied with a whisky tasting. I've have stayed and dined here more than once and I do not have any complaints. About 15 minutes from Elgin by car.

No kettle routinely supplied, only a pod machine which nobody actually enjoyed: small serving, often luke warm (style over substance) but they did kindly supply our elderly relative with a kettle when asked. Curtain missing from one small window in the family twin room created some light early morning. No major complaints.

It was a nice hotel with a restaurant and a well stocked whiskey bar. Staff were friendly, helpful and worked very hard. Seemed like each person had multiple jobs from tending bar to serving your food and checking you in. Easy off-street parking. Our junior suite was nice and comfortable.

The location. Would not recommend staying in Rothes for more than a night or two. It is a very small town with limited options. No pubs or sit-down restaurants within walking distance so you are stuck eating and drinking at the hotel every night unless you want to drive to neighboring towns.

Hotel felt authentic to Scotland yet still modern. The beds were comfortable & the food was nice. Excellent selection of whiskies. Majority of the staff we encountered were very friendly bar 1 who ignored us 3 times when we were waiting at the restaurant doors.

Slightly Pokey room & pillows extremely soft (just not to my liking) our room was down the back next to what I can only assume was the staff room as the door was always open with lockers inside. Walked past it all the time so was a bit odd.

The staff are all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of their whiskies. The food is great and I would recommend the tasting menu along with the Whisky flight. Rooms were spacious and clean. With plenty of space and tables in the courtyard to enjoy the sun.

It was a little warm to sleep. Given the rarity of 25+ celcius days in Scotland I don't forsee it being a problem in most instances.

All food was great and service of the staff was good as well. Our bed was very comfortable and bathroom was nice. The location for traveling to various scotch distilleries was fantastic.

We had a little confusion with our room and staff took us to a room with a smaller bed because the room was quieter (not set on the main road with truck traffic) but we stated we still preferred the King bed that we requested even if there was more street noise. There was noise but we were very happy with the king size suite and glad we were accommodated.

Jacob and Cariss were most helpful and courteous. They were the star that shone bright for an otherwise hotel that's lacking of proper facilities. The dinner menu was impressive, along with very well paired wines.

The kettle in the room was a coffee machine that didn't even work. The room's thermostat did not work at all! And there was not laundry service.
