We loved the easy going, relaxed atmosphere and the spa pool. Breakfast was good, served in the clubhouse cafe where we enjoyed the lively golfing vibe even though we don't play. Very comfortable beds. Stayed at the Cottage which was nice and quiet and will definitely return, hoping the adjacent restaurant and accomodation won't change the private, peaceful nature of the Cottage.

In summer with heating off, there was nowhere to dry wet towels, which are plentiful after multiple spa visits. Plenty of space everywhere but no clothes airer. Could do with more than two outdoor chairs so that all 4 guests could enjoy coffee with a view.

Room, we had the 2 bed cottage, it was great due to the location to have the lounge/kitchen area as well as the 2 en-suite bedrooms Breakfast was all I could ask for. No trouble. It started at 0800 but I tee’d off at 0812, breakfast was made ready early. The spa did look tired in some places, but having spoken to staff, it is due to close for some renovation in September. It certainly won’t need a lot doing. Changing rooms and gym were very good I played golf, the course though dry due to weather, had really good greens. You couldn’t have asked for better under the current weather. Staff on reception and in the golf shop were more than helpful.

There were no negatives, unless you count the amount of golf balls I lost on the 10th into the water.

Lots of space in the room, addition of a fridge was great! Bed was massive and very comfortable. Parking right outside the door to the room. Breakfast was very good and a wide selection of choices included and was open until later in the morning so you could have a lay in and not miss out.

A microwave would be great in the family room, as food isn’t available on site and with younger children being able to heat something would be amazing. The bath didn’t really work as the water pressure wasn’t great and the bath was massive and the plug let the water out while filling - as some who can’t have showers it was quite difficult.

We had the cottage - a self-contained 2 bed place in the grounds, both rooms en-suite. Very comfortable and the fully equipped kitchen meant it was easy to bring in some food for ourselves. The breakfast in the clubhouse was superb and the staff are wonderful at catering to my adult autistic son who was with me. The pool was nice, but the Hot Tub was out of commission which was a shame.

It is very expensive. I can see why because of the facilities and it being set in a full golf course with tennis courts and all the rest, and the food and staff and comfort are second to none, but just be aware of the cost.

Extremely comfy bed, lovely shower. Great place to stay, staff was absolutely amazing so kind and helpful and cherry. Myself being an equestrian and finding out that this place used to be a horse yard and our rooms used to be the stables made me love it even more. Toxic trait I had a great time guessing what each building used to be 🤣

Only thing I would say is it was a wee bit tricky working out which building I needed to go to. When I arrived I wasn’t sure which building was the reception and then which building was the restaurant area.

The staff. Excellent without exception. They appear to enjoy their work and it makes all the difference. The man at reception and the breakfast staff were first rate. Spa facilities were clean, well maintained and a decent size.

The incredibly bright and pointless green light from the massive fire exit sign in the room. The room is never dark and I cannot imagine who benefits from the light except the manufacturer and the fire inspection contractors. Please sort it out. And if you're considering staying, take masking tape

The room was great, very spacious, extremely clean and well equipped, bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was included and was really nice, the staff in particular were wonderful and really helpful When we booked the venue, we had no idea that there was a gym, spa, swimming pool available at the facilities and that we'd be welcome to use these. I've looked back at our original booking and I can't find any information about this. It was a shame as we arrived on quite a warm day but didn't have a swimming costume to take advantage of this wonderful offer.

It would have been great if the room could have a full length mirror and that plug points could be near a mirror for getting ready in the morning.

We really enjoyed the fantastic sporting facilities available to guests . The staff were extremely helpful and friendly , ensured that we had everything we needed, and gave us all the information we needed to make the most of our stay The room was large and very comfortable.

We would have liked longer opening hours for the cafe so that we could have an evening meal on-site. The only other (minor) issue we had was that there needed to be better lighting in the room in the area where the kettle/ drinks facilities were situated.

We were in room 2 .. and stayed 2 night for a wedding up the road at Verzon House. Absolutely lovely room! A super comfy big bed (in-fact I meant to look/ask what mattress was used as it was amazingly comfortable) Lovely bath and powerful shower. All very tastefully decorated.. and all felt very new. Staff were lovely and thank you for the loan of the umbrella! Breakfast was lovely and tasty and staff were very friendly and attentive. We hope to come back one day and get to use the pool/facilities! Thank you

My only recommendation would be to have a sheer curtain or blind as well as blackout curtain to let light in but still have privacy as we were on ground level with people walking by occasionally. The lighting wasn’t good anywhere for getting ready/putting makeup on without opening curtain.

The young lady on reception was really friendly and accommodating and so very welcoming on our arrival. Our room was beautiful and spacious. We thought the swimming pool Jacuzzi and sauna were amazing so clean and modern We really enjoyed our breakfast .The staff were so accommodating and friendly couldn’t do enough for us and the food was a very high standard.. we went to Welling steam rally and we have recommended it to all our friends so there will be about 10 of us coming back next year and also we are going to book up this year with our family because we loved it so much .
