Excellent choice for breakfast. Good choice for dinner too, the dog free restaurant was very pleasing. Staff were all very friendly and took time to make sure that we had everything we needed. The room was very spacious with a very large bed. Bathroom was well equipped.

Pity that the restaurant finishes serving food at 5pm on Sunday, but I am sure that the staff deserve a rest. My chicken and bacon pie didn’t have much bacon in it, but this is carping about little.

The staff were great. I was expecting to arrive well after 10pm. I spoke with the staff at OAK INN, they were extremely accommodating. they called me twice whilst en route to understand eta. I actually made it a few minutes after 10 but everything worked smoothly, so appreciative of their understanding. Great breakfast, Room was beautiful, huge bed extremely welcoming.

They are undergoing some changes / upgrades,hence the 9.0 although these did not affect me in the slightest. It would have been 10 otherwise, will be great to see what they have done If I get the chance to go back.

If ever there was a reminder not to book with corporate hoteliers, the Oak Inn is it. It's simply not possible to deliver the incredible level of personal service that the Oak delivers in a 50+ facility. From the moment we arrived, we felt like returning family (even though it was our first visit). The warmth, decor and ambiance of the pub was immediately relaxing. the ease of check in and not having to complete admin after a long trip, was superb and being shown personally to the room was fantastic. The facilities in the room were excellent and cleanliness, temperature control etc of the highest order. We had a superb Dinner in the restaurant and great early breakfast spot we could get on road, all attended to with friendliness and knowledge by the owners. We will definitely be going back and could not have been more impressed.

There was literally nothing not to like, other than, not staying for longer and exploring the fabulous countryside, surrounding the Inn location.

Food & Drinks were very good - Breakfast / Dinner. Plenty of choice, decent portions, good value. Drinks range was excellent (e.g. Cask Ale). Service staff - friendly, helpful and efficient.

Room was fine, if a bit old fashioned. Could do with a lamp on the desk. Light switches didn't co-ordinate. Chair was a rocker that had seen better days! Bathroom was good - clean and decently equipped.

A lovely country pub with a warm welcome and comfy surroundings. The owner was very kind in providing us with his best wine at a reduced price, which was very generous and extremely good! the evening meal and breakfast were both very good quality, well presented and very tasty. The room was big and comfortable with great views over the surrounding fields.

We were the last people in the bar area even though it wasn't that late as most customers had been eating and had already left. We felt that they wanted to lock up so we retired to our room as we felt they wanted to close up and weren't keen on us staying in the bar. (a very minor point).

The room was fantastic, super clean and very nice, bed comfy, Shower and bath excellent.. We had Gammon for evening Meal, out of this world for taste, loved it, Breakfast was also very nice.. Staff were great and very welcoming, certainly recommend..

There was nothing to dislike, apart from the rain but they can't fix that 🤣

The breakfast was excellent. It was necessary for me to change the time of breakfast and the staff were perfectly understanding and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom perfect.

Horrid weather (not the fault of the venue) and access at the back of the property did not live up to the comfort of the rooms.

Good breakfast. Room with a view and what a lovely view it was. Lovely traditional pub, very pretty pub garden food very good. Staff very helpful.

Maybe a few cushions to put behind your back when sitting in the garden chairs. Not necessary for all but people with a back issue would appreciate the extra comfort.

Breakfast very good, staff also well worth a positive mention all round a credit to the pub. Evening meal at the top end of a pub restaurant we enjoyed it. It is worth a mention that we stayed here three years ago and at that time the food was even better! Rooms have kept well and are comfortable, very clean whole place welcoming. This was a 69th Birthday treat and much enjoyed.

The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they really went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the food was most enjoyable. Good selection of local beers and ciders on offer too. Chris and Heather generate a great atmosphere in the pub and we hope to see them again in the future.
