Perfect location, tasty breakfast included. Strongly recommended bars: Weavers of Malvern (back garden) & The Nags Head (14 mins walk). Rhubarb Home (three floors) worths a visit, too.

Called the property before making the booking to check that a room with bath tub was available. I made the reservation through Booking and I sent a message requesting that room. I got an answer back confirming it and stating the room number. When doing the check in, room assigned had no bath tub and was a different number. After double checking in reception, they were apologetic, but room with bath tub was already taken by someone else. I found it disappointing and worth to mention after how much money I paid for each night. Reception emphasised on the big windows in the room, but it was too warm in the room to keep them open anyway.

I booked this holiday as a birthday gift for my wife. She wanted to tick off her bucket list of hill/mountain climbing, and Great Malvern Hills provided that perfect opportunity. Mount Pleasant hotel is at the foot of the hills, and provides many entry/exit points. Its a wonderful place to hike any time of the day. Do note that it gets quite windy at the top. We had carried a mat to lie down and sky gaze, and it was wonderful :) We also visited the Hereford Cathedral (recommended), which is about30-45 minutes from Great Malvern. The weather was a mixed bag, so do plan for windy, cold, sunny weather changes. The people are very friendly and kind, so that was a definite plus. The hotel staff, Ashlee (Operations Manager), Ben (Restaurant Manager), and Bill (Restaurant staff) were so helpful and very accommodating. Ashlee was of great help, providing us with tips and guides to travel around the area. We got served with a full English breakfast which was amazing, plus a cold breakfast buffet. We got upgraded as well, and had an amazing view of the center, so that was very kind of the staff. Room was spacious and clean. Do note, that there involves a lot of walking in this area, and not many restaurants like in London. Local foods shops are good, but prices are the same as London; though would recommend a pastry shop which had amazing tasting pastries (forgot their name). Yak and Yam is a good restaurant as well, but timings are a bit odd. We noticed that during weekdays, the crowd was very less. The location has some good history attached to it as well. I would recommend this area for people who want to relax and get one with nature, avoid the busy life.

Maybe more food outlets/restaurants might be good? Seemed like lack of options in the area.

Breakfast was excellent. The room we had was spacious and very clean with a very comfy bed. The view was amazing looking out to miles away and at night seeing all the twinkling lights in the distance. You could see the Abbey in great detail. We had Sunday lunch and a evening meal in their restaurant/bar. That too was very good and would recommend to eat there. It is overall a very nice hotel with friendly helpful staff.

Is is on a main road so maybe a little traffic noise but quiet at night. Parking could be difficult at busy times due to small carpark. Also alot of stairs inside which could be difficult for some people.

Staff attitude is first class and I believe they endeavour to deliver good service. Quality of food choices and food served were also most acceptable.

I think possibly a little TLC in some places is called for. New wallpaper in Reception is lovely but in our bedroom for example the tiles behind the sink were white and laid like bricks.They looked clean and good quality. Likewise the floor tiles although there was a hairline crack were creamy beige but also looked of good quality. Then the shower cubicle : glow white plastic tiles and the shower door looked as if it had been mended but it good look better. They spoilt the look of what albeit small was a perfectly acceptable bathroom.

The view from our room was lovely as we looked towards the Priory. Every meal we had was tasty and well served (we've never had plates so hot before - a real bonus). The staff were friendly and helpful. The purpose of our visit was to attend the RHS Spring Flower Show at the 3 Counties Showground and we found it easy to reach it from Mount Pleasant.

Everything was as expected, a minor point a grab rail in the shower would have been useful as we are a bit unsteady on our feet, but the receptionist provided a bath mat and that was ok.

The Mount Pleasant hotel in Malvern is in an excellent location being close to the town and Malvern Hills. The staff were pleasant and helpful, check in was quick and easy and the hotel was very clean too. Our room was nice (we had a deluxe double room with a view) very spacious and equipped with all essentials as described. The bed was very comfortable and the view over the town and countryside was great too. The Mulberry restaurant and bar was very cosy, we went for a drink in the evening and price's were reasonable. We also had a cooked breakfast the next morning in there which we really enjoyed!

With it being an older building and single glazed we didn't sleep well at all. The noise from cars and motorbikes during the night and recycling trucks early in the morning made it hard to sleep which is a shame as the bed was really comfortable. The weather wasn't great during the night either and the window in our room knocked with the wind. This really is the only thing we can fault apart from the bathroom could do with some minor improvements. This didn't affect any use at all though.

Aw I loved it! I think some of the other reviews are a bit harsh. We stayed in room 1 and it had beautiful views in 2 directions a looked out over the Abbey.. which with the Christmas lights on was stunning! The room was big, a gorgeously comfy bed, close to the theatre which is why we stayed. Great shower. Breakfast (apart from the melon) was gorgeous. Lovely and warm - could turn radiators off and on as needed.

There are a lot of stairs so mobility strugglers would find it hard. The melon at breakfast had clearly been left out and re-used it was awful!! But the rest was brilliant so that’s not so bad and easily rectified.

We had a Lovely stay at mount pleasant! Room was big, comfortable and very clean! View from window was also lovely! Staff were very helpful and polite. We ate in the hotels restaurant downstairs for our evening meal and the food was exceptional. For Breakfast we had a full English which was also delicious. Location perfect for walking the malvern hills or just a relaxing stay. Couldn’t fault the hotel during our stay and will definitely return. Many thanks, Mike, Leanne and George.

Good staff, nice room with good view.

In the information file it said you were not allowed to eat or drink anything in your room that you didn't buy in the hotel and if evidence of this was found you'd have to pay £50 which spoiled our first night as we were afraid to drink the water and wine we brought with us , next day I clarified with staff it was fine as long as we didn't buy and eat takeaways in our room. The floors were very squeaky as it was an old hotel.

From the time I walked in the door until I checked out, I was made to feel welcome. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable that I thought I was in my own bed! The food was fantastic! Everything was cooked to perfection. The waitstaff were magnificent. I stayed for 2 nights, and I received a warm welcome for breakfast and dinner on my second day. The location was great as I had travelled there to hike the Malvern Hills. To be fair, I can't say enough good things about the Mount Pleasant. If you're thinking of opening a hotel, go stay there. They teach a master class every day.
