I will lead with I'm an American woman, traveling ALONE for the first time ever. After a terrible and stressful time with flights I was so happy to reach my stay with The Talbot. I stayed in room 25 in the back corner with a lovely veiw of the cathedral steeple (easy to find my way in a new city). As an American, and a Floridian we are used to some comforts such as air conditioning and small refridgerators and/or microwaves in hotels. This you will not find here. HOWEVER, what you will find is a quaint, relaxing, charming, and friendly expeirence. The smell of breakfast, lunch, and tea are always pleasing and amazing to wake up to with a convienent pub downstairs. The food is nothing short of delicious so my best compliments to the kitchen staff. Budget appropiately and you'll never go hungry. Not in the mood for fine food? not a problem you are a short walk from American favroite Five Guys, a local refreshing scene Ottos, pizzia, chinies, and sushi. That said the wait and bar staff are nothing short of perfection in quick, easy, and friendly service. I never met a face that made me feel uncomfortable or nervous. The housekeeping staff are quick, friendly, and very accomodating they respect the do-not-disturb (I am one that doesn't like people in my room while I stay if I can help it) but again no issues. Management staff here are friendly, and oh so amazing! Laura allowed us use of the conference room for a Dungeons and Dragons game (I run is usually virtually but finally able to meet my players in their country!) she was friendly and delighted to have a creative use of the space. Calem was a saint! He was always greeting with a smile and ready to help me with any request or question I had, never once treated like an inconvience. This man is everywhere and a friendly face I often looked for if I had a need of anything.
Down Sides -Alarm bell across the way: there is no tuning this out there is no timing to it, it will just go off and through no fault of the Talbot just is. -No fridge so budget wise shopping for food or drinks before an extended stay will not keep cool here. Day-by-day dining. -Placement of plugs in the room: My bed was not on a wall with any outlets for my devices so is a very SMALL inconvience but workable. -Street noise: Put on soem music or a film and it dies out quickly but there will be friends enjoying the pubs and shops.

Large sized bedroom with iron and ironing board. Comfy bed. Extremely dog friendly. Lovely little residents lounge which is a nice touch. Food delicious-one of the best Greene King restaurant's. Location perfect for all attractions.
Nose level in room- being in the centre I expected some noise but don't stay here if you want a lay in as noise levels would prevent this- we stayed three days and were woken before 7am by either road sweeper, bin lorries or scaffolding-even on Easter Sunday! The cold tap in our room had warm water coming out no matter how long you ran the tap.

Lovely hotel in the centre of the city, overlooking the cathedral. Breakfast was fantastic, and as always, they gave my small dog a sausage breakfast. Their communication was excellent, and ensured we had a ground floor room due to mobility issues. Staff are so friendly. It may be a bit dated for some, but it's really comfortable. Bed was so comfy, and TV reception was great (had some dodgy receptions in other hotels). Free Wifi excellent. Evening meal at the pub was lovely, and it's so great that they have a small number of tables where dogs are allowed so you can have your meals without leaving them behind. We have stayed a few times and will continue to stay there.

This was a very last minute booking due to a close friends medical emergency, have to say the staff were truly wonderful, welcoming and professional while also sympathetic to our last minute request to hold the room in case we needed to extend our stay. Have to say we also really enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast was quite exceptional, A really good choice/selection and quality of the produce, would highly recommend the breakfasts
The room/ bathroom furnishings are a little outdated but clean and comfortable with everything you need available.

Staff were so helpful, and even gave us a ground floor room when they saw we had a doggy pushchair. which was so appreciated. Room was very comfy and had everything you needed for a relaxed stay. Reception on the tele was a bit dodgy on BBC1 though. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice. We loved the sausage and water they provided for our dog. Separate room for us to eat breakfast because of the dog which was fine as it's important we eat together as a family. Evening meal was great - Greene King so always good food. Right in the heart of Worcester, opposite the cathedral and by the city shops. Have stayed before and will stay again. Thanks to everyone for a great stay.
The TV reception needs attention but not a deal breaker.

The hotel was very well located with good friendly staff welcoming and giving information. The room was quirky and uneven, but this added to the character. The shower head pressure was very good and the room was very clean, with good facilities in the room. There was a fan in the room along with plentiful tea and coffee
I had room 15, which had a machine type noise coming through the wall, I had to put tissue in the gap if the door to stop the rattling. There was not much air flow in the room, especially the bathroom.

It’s a perfect location the staff were all so helpful and polite couldn’t do enough for you which was wonderful the Rooms are very dated it’s a shame as bathroom lets the room down a little it’s all very clean but needs updating the meals were beautiful and very good value for money but the breakfast was a little disappointing the continental part of it was leaking a regular refill at times so had to ask for things but was the only fault really
Bathrooms need updating and the continental part of the breakfast was a little bit of a let down

Great central location. Great staff, all pleasant and very helpful. Rooms clean with en suite. Fan in every room to combat the hot weather. Almost perfect large breakfast, with many choices. Public car park 3 minute walk, and reasonably priced (King Street). Great power shower.
No complaints from 8 golfers except breakfast sausages under cooked both days. Time restraints meant we couldn’t give kitchen chance to rectify, but no doubt they would have, had we told the them.

The location and most of the breakfast. The jugs of iced water included in the breakfast buffet.
The room was a bit tired with the hangers for clothes in a strange place ( on the bathroom door instead of on the wall next to the shelves). The avocado on toast for breakfast was really terrible, as it had been prepared in advance and the toast was soggy and cold instead of hot and crisp, and the yolks of both poached eggs were hard instead of running over the avocado. Everything else was very nice.

Great location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who provided a great service at breakfast and dinner when busy. Lovely food and service. Amazing powerful shower. Good value.
Rooms and corridors could do with updating. Mattress was far too soft, like being on a water bed. Poor lighting in wardrobe area of room. Night noisy- expected due to location but new windows would improve it. Toiletries hadn’t been checked by room cleaners as body wash had only one squirt left.
