Such a lovely place and a great find. Friendly and helpful hosts and nothing too much trouble. After a long drive we started our stay in the pub. We were met with a warm reception and welcome. We ended up chatting to a few of the pub regulars and you could see there was a real community spirit here all adding to the cosy feel. In fact, when it came to us grabbing our bags from the car to put in our rooms, the youngest of those we were speaking with even offered to help with our bags which I thought was really lovely. Do please extend my thanks again for this; little gestures like that always stay with you. Our rooms were comfortable and very clean. We ate in the pub, nice food. Discussing breakfast, mum ideally likes cereal and this wasn't part of the menu, however, our lovely hosts Mark and Olivia went out of their way to accommodate this and mum was thrilled. At breakfast, Mark came to check all was well. My mum has mobility issues and asked if she could suggest a little adaptation that would make a huge difference, this being a support rail in the bathroom. He really engaged with this and of course, unless you're struggling with such a situation, you simply don't know it's needed. He said that was easily resolved and would look at it the same day. Thanks for an enjoyable stay which of course was also enhanced by Harley. A little gem of a place with fabulous hosts and friendly locals. I hope you had the most amazing 50th party! 🎂

Just what we wanted - somewhere to spend a couple of nights while we visited relatives. Pleasant country pub run by a very hard-working couple, Mark and Olivia. Spacious room and proper bathroom. Reasonably quiet (it is a pub after all!) and quality food available at fair prices. Plenty of outdoor space too.

Nothing. If we'd stayed longer we'd have liked a couple of chairs and maybe a small table in the room as we always seem to have a lot of bits and pieces that end up on the floor. Ditto for a shelf or more space to put stuff on in the bathroom.

It was exactly what I’d wanted - a clean room, with a comfortable bed for the night, in the right location. Although small, the room seemed light and airy, because of the wall colour and large window. The towels were good. I also liked that ‘hot chocolate’ was among the drinks provided (hotels, such Premier Inn, don’t provide that anymore.)

The room does feel a bit exposed if there is anyone in the courtyard outside. The biscuits had been forgotten (but that was immediately put right by the staff member, when I mentioned it.) The provision of a soap by the hand sink would also be an improvement.

It is a great little gem of a place. The bar itself has so much atmosphere, and the hosts Mike and Olivia are really friendly and welcoming. I had a lovely evening meal and a freshly cooked English breakfast, both of which were generously sized. The regulors were also very nice and fun to talk with. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities were good. I will certainly visit again if I am in the locality.

Loved the area, very quiet. Our room was amazing and so clean. Lovely posh biscuits 🤣. Had everything we needed for our one night stay. We both chose the steak, which was cooked to perfection (and I'm really fussy with steak). Breakfast was 😍 lovely. Best of all was meeting Harvey the gorgeous dog. Deffo stay here again, little hidden gem just a few miles off the motorway.

The bath was lovely and big, but prob needs replacing. But nothing else and deffo no complaints.

This chalet is lovely! It was clean and tidy, very spacious, well lit , the bed was really comfy. The location was brilliant. When we arrived we were greeted straight away by Olivia. She was very polite. We went to the pub almost straight after check in and we were really amazed with the pub! The atmosphere was friendly, it was cosy, we felt really welcomed by Mark and Olivia. We spent most of our time there and left feeling like friends.

Wonderful spacious room with all the amenities you could want. Absolutely no noise, had such an amazing sleep after driving over 500 miles on the trips I did. I was a tad tired so I didn't stop for a drink, but what I can say is the local homely atmosphere was wonderful, it really is like an old film set in the pub, characters and all. If your in the area, don't miss out, you wont be disappointed and, did I mention it's the best value for money.

It was very easy to find with sat nav. I was greeted very warmly, offered food, even though the pub was not actually serving food when I visited, and shown to my room, which was tucked round the back. The room was cosy and the bed was very comfy. I had gammon for tea which was superbly cooked and an excellent price. The pub was a friendly place. I slept very well and the shower in the morning was pleasant. Thank you for my short stay.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Quiet lovely rural location but close enough to where we were going ( Worcester races) Didn’t realise how close the Cotswold villages were. Wonderful traditional pub, lovely couple breakfast was great, we were given our room early. Camra member hubby said good ale choice , kept well. Only 1 night but hope to go back for longer

The only thing I would say could make a stay more comfortable would be a chair in the room.

I had such a lovely stay at The Royal Oak, really friendly warm welcome from Mark as soon as i arrived. Everyone was so friendly, the locals and everyone i met and nothing was too much trouble. I had a few drinks in the bar and watched the football. Room was clean, tidy and had everything i needed. Slept lovely and the bed was really comfy. I will definitely be going back. Great value for money and my highlight was meeting Harley the most gorgeous pub dog.
