Very sweet, old building with lots of history. Loved the big family room and the garden with lovely views. The children enjoyed staying in such an old historical room. Great addition of fridge and drinks facilities. Location is super and easy to find, use as a base. We only stayed one night so found local car park with a short walk.
As an old building, we didn't expect it to be perfect in condition, so expect noise from the street/ local pub if a sunny evening. We took earplugs. Curtains also didn't keep out the light but again we're used to this with children so brought sleep mask. Would be great to be able to black out windows. Garden lovely although a bit tired and no food offerings which would have been lovely on the terrace (but we're not in sunny Greece so not complaining!)

A great location for visiting Ross-on-Wye and parking was provided in a private car park about 50m away. The building is very old and quite historic, but definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues with two flights of steep stairs to negotiate. Lots of interesting furniture and artwork, and we enjoyed a warm welcome from Katherine.
The toilet and shower are in something similar in size to a cupboard, so you need to be pretty agile to get into the cramped shower cubicle. Check out is at 10am, so not any good if you want a lie-in.

Just bed for one night. Doesn't do breakfasts hence the good price. Big room, oak beams etc. Everything we needed. Excellent location in the centre of Ross. Great Italian restaurant (Avellino) a few minutes walk. Lovely cafe for breakfast on RHS walking towards centre, right next to a delicatessant. Also very close.
We thought parking would be a problem but it was OK. The 2 hour street parking limit is 09:00 to 6:00 pm so as we arrived about 5:00 we were OK till 9:00 in the morning.

The size of the family room was perfect! The bedding and mattress were one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and on. Complimentary bottles of water in the fridge which was a lovely touch. Even to have a mini fridge was very handy.
Shower is a bit temperamental and water pressure is on the low side but it does do the job.

The rooms are very oldie-worldie - which is part of the charm and full of character, but don't expect the mod cons to be top notch. However you have everything you need for a good night with plenty of space in a great location. Decent bathroom, the mini, mini fridge for cold water is a nice touch. Not having breakfast suited us, and you are in a great location to find somewhere. Parking is relatively convenient and you can top it up through a phone app rather than having to re-do the meter in the morning. Keypad entry means you can come and go as you like. We used a double and a single room, the double was very large compared to modern hotel rooms, the single was more than big enough.
Even the negatives, in terms of wonky floors, low beams and tight bathroom, are part of the charm of staying in such an old building in a central location.

The house was from around 1500-1600, which we found very exciting! Someone wrote that it is like living in a museum, and I can only agree. The garden was fantastic and the location just 100 yards from the city center. I can definitely recommend this place!
The shower door fell off, but I could put it back. I should probably be looked over though.

This was a beautiful atmospheric single room, decorated with real attention to detail. Although situated in the town, it was very quiet and staying in the old converted Court House was a wonderful experience. So often when travelling as a single person I find single rooms to be a little less luxurious than doubles - but this was the exception, and I really appreciated the care that went into making my stay memorable.

A quirky but very comfortable place to stay. We received a very friendly greeting and found the rooms comfortable and spacious. (Lovely garden to relax in with an impressive view). I would definitely stay there again.

Location was fab - very close to town, yet just far enough away to be quiet. Characterful property. Great spacious room - it was nice to have a sofa too.
The shower was not good - you had to choose between hot and very feeble or cold and more powerful.

We had all 3 rooms so no other guests and it felt very private and special. We loved the character of the property being from the 15/16 century. The location is very central and the garden was a lovely space to have breakfast in the sunshine .
