It was clean and comfortable enough for a one night stay. The bed was comfy and clean and the shower pressure was surprisingly good, water temp was piping hot. The tea tray was well stocked with tea/coffee and two bottles of water. There were shower gel and hand wash free to use. Overall ok.

The room decor was a little bit dated/well worn and some of the fixtures in my room were damaged. The sink was cracked and there is clearly a limescale issue as the bathroom tap and shower head were caked in limescale.

Nice location - more rural than I expected. Smallish hotel. The receptionist on arrival was very helpful. I had a nice room, but the soap was fixed and there was no soap for the bath (it was in the shower, also by the wash basin) - no point in having a lovely corner bath with no soap!! The bed was very comfortable and the room was also. You chose breakfast the night before, it was cereal and toast OR cooked breakfast - I'm sure you could have had cereal toast and cooked if wanted - but this was not made clear. They had no marmalade. Minor in a way, but surely basic!!!! For a night's stay, I would recommend.

Just the soap and the marmalade. It was a nice place and overall I enjoyed my stay.

Both breakfast and the room were fantastic. The young lady with the dark hair is always smiling on reception. She is always welcoming and makes you feel at home! The new guy was also brilliant with great customer service and attention.

I have stayed here many times in the last 6 months and it is my go to stop off when i am on business in London, so there is not much i do not like. the experience has improved massively since my first stay.

fresh cooked breakfast( we had to tell them when checking in what we wanted and what time we would like to have breakfast. staff was super friendly and helpful. shower was great, nice size bedroom! great mattress.

the hotel is a bit out of the way, without a car or taxi it is a problem to get to it. we took the underground into London which took about 45 minutes. we took a Uber back from the underground to the hotel which took about 5/10 minutes:)

Checked in at night time and found the entrance outside the building dark. That's the only thing.

Nice period building tastefully decorated with views over open countryside. Comfortable public areas in reception and bar areas. Plenty of parking and pleasant gardens.

On arrival you would expect to have been informed of where things were, wifi details etc which I had to ask for. Limited food available in the evening and breakfast time had to be pre-ordered at agreed time. If your late your order is kept warm until you arrive.

On arrival I couldn’t have asked for more from the lady on the front desk. From giving me directions to the nearest cash point to twice letting me know my take away was delivered. The room was clean and made up every morning.

warm reception. Attentive & friendly staff. Lovely setting which is very relaxing.

Dusty rooms again. i mention this every time. Curtain rails old & sharp. Food not great. Burger cold. Breakfast is often a rushed affair with no real attention to detail. it could make a big difference if the food was better with more range.

Mark checked us in, he apologised because he hadn't been there long and may be slow but he wasn't he was fantastic and explained the hotels timings for breakfast and checkout. Sat in the bar before going out for dinner and he made our drinks, put music on for us. Really nice man. When we got back Dave was on reception, he made us drinks in the bar and put music and heating on for us. Stopped for a little chat. Spoke to the cleaning lady in the morning for more teabags, did ask her name but forgot it. She was really kind and asked if we wanted more milk etc. Will definitely stay again.

Our room was at the top of the stairs (room 5) so we heard people coming and going but that's not the staffs fault really, just bad luck.

Great Breakfast Value for money and has a lovely long road if your into your walking. Had the Greatest bond with two of the workers there Mags was exceptional went above and beyond at every request. Paul also was a gentlemen and again same thing as mags showed his genuine self and helped at every angle with information and anything I needed. Mags and Paul hats of two you aswell. The cleaner done a amazing job aswell never got here name but defiantly a great overall hotel. I felt like I was at home. Defiantly coming back for there events
