I recently had a pleasant stay at this hotel where my expectations were met. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a cozy space to relax. There was a minor hiccup with the toilet not flushing easily, but it didn't detract significantly from my overall experience. Breakfast was a definite highlight—offering a good variety of dishes that started my day on a positive note. The quality and presentation of the food were consistently enjoyable. Cleanliness was another strong point. The hotel maintained a tidy and orderly environment throughout, which made my stay even more pleasant. A standout aspect of my stay was the exceptional staff. They were not only very good at what they do but also friendly and attentive, making me feel truly welcome throughout my visit.

It was my second stay at this hotel, and I knew what to expect from my previous visit. Apart from staff changes and a change in the breakfast room arrangements, things were much the same as before. It was good that they were running a "promotion" so that the usual £5 parking charge was waived. Should not that become the norm? Because of the hotel's location, probably all guests arrive in vehicles. It is a large building and quiet, which I like. My room was large with the usual facilities. The bed was very comfortable.

At breakfast the scrambled eggs from the hotplate were actually cold. I thought elements of dinner on the night I arrived were a bit overpriced. For example: a side dish of garlic bread cost £3.50, but consisted of three slices only. The dessert course, a cheesecake, was a bit inferior for the money. The main course was fine - no complaint there. I understand the difficulties of running a restaurant for dinner when the number of patrons is low, and I appreciated that the restaurant was open so that I did not need to go out for a meal.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice and quiet - really nice bar and excellent food.

The WiFi was very bad, you can connect but it's just not very good. When booking we asked for rooms close together as we are family needing two rooms, upon check in they said there were not enough rooms to accommodate this so we were on different floors! However the hotel was extremely quiet and we hardly saw any other guests so I'm not sure that really was a reason - more likely an oversight.

Following the debacle of breakfast the previous week, the general manager pulled out the stops. Thank you for a much better experience. My room was to die for, with Jacuzzi. I’d like specifically to thank Donna the assistant manager who tried to provide breakfast last week. She had tried to sort the problem just didn’t get the support she asked for. Thank you Donna!

Although breakfast was complementary I’d already paid for a breakfast last week, but was given nothing. As a diabetic I should have food in the morning. I had to be at work for 7:15. However, in view of the room upgrade I’ll overlook that!

It was clean and tidy had everything we need and was a nice budget room. The breakfast was great and it was kept fresh , the chief kept tipping up the hot food but with small amounts so it stayed hotter. And there was only a few guessing in the restaurant. The young gentleman on the reception when we book in was polite and got us checked in quick and in the morning the young ladies was the same as where the the restaurant and cleaning staff .

Nothing the only problem which is nothing to do with the hotel was a few midges around because off the weather and the fields But the hotel left a leaflet in the room explaining this which was great .

Very comfortable bed. Plenty of space in the room. An actual closet for clothes and things was a very nice surprise (lacking in most modern hotels!). The breakfast was perfect. I had several meals in the evening as well, all delicious ( steak, pasta's, burgers, pizza ). The staff was always friendly and helpful, spot on.

It's not a new hotel. Not a problem, but for some people, no lift is a bit of a thing.

The room was very clean and spacious, and had everything we needed in it. The location was really useful for us too.

The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, we went and brought some more from tesco. The rest of the bed was comfortable and everything was clean though. The radiator in the room wouldn't turn down either.
