Five day trip to the UK with friends and family! As a couple we had previously stayed in Gidea Park Hotel and therefore decided to use it for our group of 12 as a base for 5 days of sightseeing in London. Location is perfect for a 45min train journey to the centre of London. After the hustle and bustle of sightseeing during the day, the local pubs and restaurants offered well deserved relaxation. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, all rooms were clean and breakfast was tasty, informal and a great start to the day. We were made to feel very welcome and would not hesitate to go back.

I requested a room downstairs but there were some stairs to climb which my husband found a bit hard. It was a nice room but very expensive for what we got, one family room weekdays £150..And £12 each for Breakfast. [£186.] in total. Breakfast was ok but we requested vegetarian sausages, and were told we will get it but we did not get any in the morning, my son did not like tin tomato. Very nice lady welcomed us and helped my husband with the suitcase. No drinking water supplied in room. Only 3 teabags and 3 milk sachets and sugar sachets. OK I suppose.

I would have liked the room a bit cheaper as it was a basic room with no carpet and need refurbishment. No telephone in room. No drinking water in room and minimal beverage facilities. Although there was a bar downstairs in the hotel.

The hotel was lovely and all the staff that we met were so helpful we were in Romford for a family party and my husbands elderly parents decided to come last minute we contacted the hotel to see if they had a room for them and they were kind enough to give us the lodge for the nigh so that my mother in law didnt have to climb the steps to the main building. Its 2 bedroom with a kitchen and we had 2 bathrooms and the beds were really comfortable Breakfast was lovely and cooked to perfection Would definitely stay here again

Very nice hotel, friendly, efficient and attentive staff. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Good transport links into London, about 10 mins walk to local station. Free parking and felt safe and secure. Perfect for our needs for a weekend away. Quiet location with plenty of eating options and a lovely micro pub opposite.

Everything was fine although the 2 mornings we stayed there was quite a bit of noise from other guests, kids etc nothing problematic, the noise just carried due to the nature of the building, but not the hotel's issue.

I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. The property was exceptionally clean, making for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The parking facilities were also excellent, offering ample space and easy access, which is always a significant plus. The staff were courteous and helpful, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. The amenities provided were top-notch, and everything functioned exceptionally well, from the Wi-Fi to the room appliances. The attention to detail and the quality of service truly enhanced my overall experience. Overall, my stay was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and found it to be a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. I would definitely come back and stay again in the future. Highly recommended!

Hotel was extremely well located for access to Lee Valley Hockey Centre, which we require. Train station was close with regular services. Hotel was very clean and facilities were good with free parking.

Room was a little warm, with no air conditioning, although there was floor standing fan which helped. It was also June when we stayed and the temperatures were in excess of 20 degrees overnight.

Lovely cooked breakfast. Location is perfect for me and the staff are always so friendly

The weather

The hotel was lovely and close to amenities, Staff were friendly and helpful, check-in and out were quick and efficient. Lots of free parking on site too, in a lovely area and good value for money. Thank you.

The room was a little tired and in need of some TLC and definitely too small for 3 beds as the bedside tables were moved to the other side of the room to accommodate the extra bed. The extra bed was also a camp bed and not a proper single as the description stated, not ideal for my Daughter who is 5ft 9, but ok for one night. Would have liked a few drawers to unpack into as had to live out of our suitcases. The bathroom needed a shower screen and hook on the wall so we could use the shower instead of filling 3 baths and the light over the sink didn't work. The bedding and pillows need upgrading as too thin, extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard would sort this as the room was cold so had to use coats, but otherwise a nice basic room, at the back with a decent view.

As I was travelling alone I only needed a small room, the room I had was perfectly adequate for my needs, a good size double bed which was very comfortable, a dresser/desk with coffee and tea provided, a wardrobe to hang clothes in. The en-suite shower room and toilet were a little small but again, adequate for my needs as a solo traveller, there were some complimentary shower gel tubes and some soap. The reception was clean and tidy, the staff pleasant and helpful, the breakfast bar area was also neat and simple, breakfast is available at an additional cost but I didn't use this facility. There is ample free parking. Overall I was very satisfied with the hotel and its facilities, it is only a 5 - 10 minute walk from Gidea Park railway station on the Elizabeth Line so travel into London is quick and easy, Romford town centre is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel with Main Road having a regular bus route serving it

With my particular room, the only thing that I would have liked were some draws for storing clothes in.

The lady at reception when I arrived and left was so polite and kind, very welcoming. Great first impression. The room was great, clean and tidy with comfy and nice shower. I messaged in the morning and asked for an earlier check-in, which I was granted (this really helped me), and to my delight I was upgraded to a bigger room with a balcony! Location is great also, 10 minutes walk from Gidea Park.

My one, very silly request...I woke up thirsty in the night, and one or two small bottles of drinking water in the fridge would've been great...I had to drink tap water (fine, I just don't like it). Really I have no actual complaints about the hotel, it was great.
