A lovely hotel, less than 15 minutes walk from the train station. Double room was small but very well equipped. Delicious breakfast included in our stay, but had to pay extra for tea/coffee/fruit juice, which should have been included in the price. A great location for concerts at the London Olympic Stadium, and we'd definitely stay at this hotel again if attending other events there.

Would have preferred a hand-held shower rather than just an overhead one. Cost of breakfast should have included drinks.

I liked the price and cleanliness most of all. The room was a basic basement room with two single beds. It was not over heated as some hotels are so great. Comfy bed. Location was great as close to where my family live. Good location for tourism too as central line so close by.

The extractor in the bathroom did not work. So very steamy after showers. I reported this and it was noted.

Breakfast wasn’t served until 9 am which we felt was a little late and meant everyone came at the same time. The curtain in our room didn’t shut properly and so the sunshine woke us up very early. We mentioned it to reception and it was slightly better on our 2nd night but still not mended completely

The hotel was very clean, modern and light. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The rooms had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. I didn't hear any noise from other rooms/ the corridor. The food was great. We had dinner (chicken shish was very tasty and some of my party had the chicken avocado wrap which was also really good, and huge!!). The breakfast and coffee were great in the morning as well!!

There wasn't anything "bad" about the hotel. We booked a Small Double, and it was on the small side. But that's exactly what it's advertised as, so we had no complaints!

This place is a great find. I don't know the area very well and I knew I would be out late, alone, so it was important to me that I felt safe and welcome. The Lion and Key exceeded my expectations. All the staff were wonderful, the food was excellent, the room was large and clean. A great place to stay and only 10 minutes walk from Leyton tube station.

Our room was on the top floor and had windows on two sides -- and you could even open the windows -- so much less claustrophobic than most London hotels. Plenty of space; comfy bed.

The water had so much softener in it we were advised not to drink it by hotel staff: not helpful in very hot weather. One pillow was rather hard and lumpy!

This was booked last minute, due to being let down by a different booking. The staff were really helpful and made sure that we were fed before we had to leave for the evening.

I'm not sure if it was our fault or the staff at the restaurant, but after being sat at a table for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us, we left and got breakfast elsewhere.

Super friendly and professional receptionists. The food (room service) from the restaurant was brilliant. Great accessibility to public transportations with very short commute to bus stations with routes to Stratford. The room was bright and clean.

It was a birthday gift. They decorated the room so nice. Warm friendly environment. Very clean,vegetarian breakfast was amazing. I would definitely be coming back and would recommend this hotel.

Heating was fluctuating from cold to hot when on 27 degrees. Water was running from the cistern for a while after flushing.

Room was nice and was allowed late checkout of 1 o clock with no extra charge

Received an email and few days before my booking stating 24/7 bar for guests. But when I returned from an event I attended, bar was closed and reception worker claimed they had no bar past 11.30.
