The location is fantastic Train station just behind you, Beech just in front of you. Walk left for the quieter beaches or want more space, walk right for the busier and town.7 Only checked my booking on the train it turns out my booking didn't have ensuite. When greeted by one of the friendly owners Richard asked if i could upgrade no problem Paid £20 and got a sea view and an ensuite Room was clean and comfortable 2 chairs by the window tea/coffee making facilities and a couple of bottles of water, fridge in the rooms chest of drawers and a couple of other bits. But to be honest all., I do is sleep on the bed for a couple of hours then ill be out going out for swim, walk, coffee or a beer! I would happily stay here again, and recommend it Thanks for my short stay

I noticed a pool table down stairs on my way out and I had a friend with his son staying elsewhere and I thought as we were passing we could pop in have a game of pool but sort of got the impression guests weren't allowed by the lady present, now could of been fine if I asked or explained my intentions but I didn't just went back out again!

My daughter & I really are so grateful for the stay at the Burlington hotel Margate kent so professional indeed & very friendly service slept in a very clean bed & room so clean & tidy had a double room with Seaview & I actually suffer from Anxiety disorder & staying at the Burlington hotel Margate kent made me feel so relaxed & less Anxious & staying here made my daughters day & night she's so sad to leave as she really enjoyed her stay & so did I & my daughter actually felt me more relaxed .my daughter said can we come & book the Burlington hotel Margate kent again please mummy can we I said yes definitely when you have six weeks holiday we can hopefully come back & stay at the Burlington hotel Margate was fantastic stay thank you

There's was nothing to dislike about our stay at the Burlington hotel Margate kent it was wonderful

The location of the hotel is ideal. Right next to the train station and steps to the beach. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Old Town Center. (See photo) The facilities were exceptionally clean and the woman who kept the rooms was efficient and kind. Small WC in the room was clean and hot water worked, even on the top floor! The hotel is currently under renovation, so this is a good thing! (See photo) I was there to repatriate a friend from the hospital back to Canada, so a perfect spot to rest my head and grab a shower while here.

Wi-Fi is advertised on the website, but it was not available. I really needed that service as I was doing a lot of correspondence back to Canada in order to arrange transport of my friend and for communication with family and doctors overseas. The price was higher than what it's worth, but it is a tourist area, so that is unavoidable.

The hosts Richard and Anna gave us a very warm welcome! They were so helpful from the moment we stepped it. Helped us with our inquiries and recommended a very good cafe close by. They even assisted us with our luggage, as our room was located on the 1st floor. Room was very clean and all amenities were available. I will definitely be going there again. Highly recommend this hotel ! Location wise, it is only 5 minutes walking distance from the Margate train station. Thank you Richard and Anna for your excellent customer service! Keep it up!

Nothing at all...

The location was absolutely brilliant! Right next to the train station and Dreamland where we were attending a gig. Lovely sea view as well and a short walk to nice coffee place (Garage) and brunch location (The Bus Cafe).

The amount of sunlight coming into the room in the morning was A LOT! We'd have really liked some better blinds/curtains so we could've slept in more. Also the room was on the top floor, which I'm thankful we only had a rucksack, as any large luggage would've been tough to get all the way up there!

The location was better than I expected. I was travelling with my wife who has a walking disability, my 2 year old daughter and a dog. Being next to the train station and opposite the beach was perfect. What was more impressive was the service I received from Richard. I asked for the use of a fridge and microwave for my baby’s bottle. He found a small fridge for our room and a microwave which he gave me access to. As I departed, my daughter was given some sweets. I hadn’t realised that she had dropped her dummy in exchange for the sweets until I was at the station. As I boarded the train, Richard appeared on the platform and handed me back my child’s dummy. That is exceptional service.

There are some renovations going on. I hope to return once they are completed.

A family crisis meant a last minute trip to France to collect a daughter and 2 cats to take them to their new home in Margate, while we had a last minute hotel booking in Margate. Serious holdups at The Shuttle resulted in our not getting to Margate until well after .midnight.The hotel owners could not have been nicer. Keys left in key safe for us, heater in room since the weather was truly awful, bottles of water for us and the option of stayi longer in the mornng which sadly we couldn't take up. Truly very kind!! Comfortable with great views of the bay.

this hotel was the jewel in the crown , the staff was very helpful and friendly to us, and the location of this brilliant hotel was fantastic 500 yards from the train station and even less to the beach . Hopefully we will definitely staying at this awesome hotel again.

in my eyes there was nothing at all not to like about this place, it has everything you could ever need for a great stay .

Didn't know about the scaffolding bit off putting though theu are refurbishing Sink had a leak Single bed, seen better days springs could be felt, so had to share the other bed No heating on at night or in the morning Should have booked a sea view rooms.as our view was not great but I would not pay the price for one as I think it was a bit steep .

The man that greeted us (I believe Richard) was warm, welcoming and helpful. He was very sweet and concerned with making sure we were comfortable for the evening. We very much enjoyed our interactions with him, which gave the hotel a very home like vibe. We had just come in off the road and the room had a few snacks along with the typical water and coffee, which we really appreciated. The location is amazing, right on the beach and by the train station. We rented a car this time around but great to know for the future! Also the station provides a very cheap parking option. There's a retro arcade game on the main floor which has all of the old classics on there which the hotel let's you play for free! Definitely a cool bonus we didn't expect! Those games are my Era! Haha. Would definitely stay here again Thanks Burlington 😊
