Great fun place. Our room was above a pub, there was loud music but the vibe was unrealy and everyone was very friendly. It was more of a join in and have fun :) This was in the afternoon / evening, not late at night when the music was quiet again. The room was a fairly old decor, but everything was very clean and the room really spacious. We were far ish out of town but had a car so it was no hassle, I was aware when I made the booking so met my expectations. Very happy with the room and venue I would opt to stay there again. The place has lovely outside beer garden. Staff were in great spirits and very warm welcoming people and crowd in the pub. Enjoy!

Parking on site. Separate entrance to the rooms. The decor is a bit older but it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it's exceptionally clean. Obviously it's a pub, so expect pub noises in the evening, however after closing time the place was virtually silent! We couldn't hear the traffic either. We read in the visitor book, that someone said it was the best night's sleep they'd had in a long time, we were sceptical but it was so cosy and comfortable, we also had great nights. The room and bathroom temperature was perfect.

For me personally the mattress (room 6) was too soft, definitely not a failing of the Hussar. Something to bear in mind though, if you have back issues and need a hard bed like I do.

A good value hotel to stay, in my case, a few days working in Margate. The bed was comfortable in a large room. Plenty of parking on the premises and felt confident parking my van overnight. Checkin at the bar below was friendly and efficient and the entrance to the rooms is at the rear of the property so you don't have to walk through the bar area if you need to pop out. will certainly stay next time I'm working down here.

The pub is quite lively so a little noisy until closing. Didn't bother me, but may do for some.

First experience of staying at an Inn. Due to my oversight, i did not acknowledge the latest check in time of 8 pm. I did contact the property rather late and requested them to accommodate my extremely late check in. The were very co-operative and did let me in at around 2315. I appreciate their courtesy. The room was a bit dated and small. Served the purpose. Good shower! If you are on a budget, go for it.

Some dirt and wrappers on the floor were missed by the cleaners.

The Hotel was perfect for what we required. Seeing a gig at Dreamland and the England game beforehand. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are accessed at a separate entrance to the pub which works well. The family room was large (felt more like a suite!) and comfortable and clean. Wash room and toilet facilities were again clean an ideal. It is characterful building so its not a boutique hotel in style if that is your thing but it is perfect as a base to drop down into town (15 min walk) and it lived up to all expectations. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Can't seriously fault anything. Would have been nice to have had some bar food just before the football but expect this would have been a logistical problem with the pub so packed shortly after. The bar service and bar staff were spot-on with very little waiting time to be served and there was a great atmosphere during the football.

It was a good location for where I wanted. It was clean and comfortable. I liked the fact that it was separate accommodation with your own access, and it had a lovely strong shower. There was a friendly welcome at the pub when I checked in.

Nothing I didn’t really like. I could have done with a bit of milk for my cup of tea in the morning but I survived. Minor things, decor/furniture is a bit tired but that was reflected in the low price.

In truth, we wanted to stay in central Margate where there was a family party - but The Libertines were playing a gig and there was nothing available. So we opted for The Hussar a mile or so out. We need not have worried. Perfectly good basic room, a simple taxi ride into town, and a good price for the stay. Plus, the staff and locals in the bar were lovely.

A breakfast option would have been nice after a late party night in Margate.

We stayed there for a three nights with our 3 years old son. Excellent stay!, the staff is fantastic and very helpful, they were all very professional and smiley, always happy to help. Everyone including the bar staff and a cleaner were great. The rooms are clean, lovely and cosy. No complaints at all. We enjoyed a good nights sleep.Thank you for a great stay and see you soon !

Everything, Michelle & Dave were so welcoming, Hotel/pub was fabulous, staff especially Alice & the Thai lady (apologies forgot to ask her name) they both had such a great sense of humour & made us feel so welcomed, also the young lady (again forgot to ask her name) was lovely aswell to us, from check in, to our room, location, & check out, PERFECT! Highly recommend The Hussar Hotel

On first appearance the outside could do with an update. But don't judge a book by its cover as once inside the overall appearance and welcome is great. The rooms are a great size albeit could do with a lick of paint. Breakfast would be a nice option aswell.
