Lovely spacious, bright and airy room. Very clean accommodation.plenty of parking right outside your door. Great powerful shower and soft white towels. Handy to have pub on site serving food. We stayed 2 nights and ate there both nights and also had Sunday lunch. All meals were really good and it was a bonus that residents get 10% off bill. We didn’t have breakfast there. We stayed in May when it was warm outside. The temperature in our accommodation was nice and comfortable. I do wonder what the accommodation would be like in the winter as there were no radiators in the accommodation. However there was an electric fan heater stored in the wardrobe.

There was minimal places to store things off the ground in the bedroom. Something like a desk by the mirror would be so useful to put belongings on.

Excellent breakfast and lovely, friendly and helpful staff, the function room where our friends party was held was beautiful and the food was very good. The two barmaids were great, they worked hard all evening.

The room would have been so much more comfortable and user friendly with one or two simple additions, e.g. a towel rail for wet towels and hooks to hang a dressing gown or coat hanger. A small shelf in the shower for shampoo and shower wash. A chest of drawers to put things on, the tiny shelf holding the kettle and tea making equipment was not safe in my opinion and a second chair would have been nice. (2 people need a chair each!) the bed was comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean, and the garden was very pleasant.

Breakfast at the Crown was good, ample parking facilities were available and the location of the property was convenient for us. The sleeping apartments are located back from both the road and the pub so it remained nice and quiet throughout our stay.

After booking the stay at the Crown we received an e-mail offering a 10% discount on any lunches or dinners taken at the pub whilst staying with them. We ate there on the first night and the waitress informed us that she didn't think that was possible unless she took the 10% service charge off the bill. Obviously we didn't want that so we paid the full amount. We felt a little cheated and, needless to say, we ate elsewhere on the other nights!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crown Lodges. The lodge was very comfortable and neat. We liked having outdoor seating. The shower was amazing. We also ate at the Crown pub and the food and service were excellent.

We could have done with somewhere to hang towels, a few more hooks or a towel rail for example. The only main thing we disliked was how light the room was at night. There was a tiny green light above the front door but it lit up the entire room! The curtains and shutters were also not very effective and as soon as the sun came up the room was very bright. It probably would be fine in winter but we stayed in July.

We loved the fact the lodges surrounded the Crown Inn. We loved the peace and quiet and the friendly staff that greeted us on our arrival. We loved the garden as the weather was beautiful and we loved the shower and the comfy bed and the fact that we had our rooms cleaned the following day with towels replenished etc.

Only one chair in room. Found the snack menu limited as our personal choice is a light meal on an evening, choices were limited at 6pm. However if you are looking for a comfortable stay with a lovely restaurant meal this is an ideal stay.

Great location. Friendly, attentive staff. Lively village pub with great atmosphere. Nice to have some additional space outside on the patio. Booked for a group of 10 ppl occupying 5 of their rooms, so great for a family/social get together. Lovely hot showers. Newly purpose built.

Could be improved with king-size beds and perhaps a bed side table or similar piece of furniture for all your medications/creams/perfumes etc. Otherwise has to stay in a bag on the floor.

The rooms were lovely & clean & smelt amazing when we arrived. The bed, duvet & sheets were so comfortable & it was like home . The room was light, & spacious . Beautiful grounds when we had a walk around, all kept tidy & clean. Went for breakfast in the pub the next morning, very friendly staff & made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely & all the menu was a good price. We would 100%recommend & if we are ever back in the area would stay here again.

Absolutely loved the pub - the staff were really friendly, the food was fantastic and the facilities there were really well kept. Our room in the lodge was well furnished and spotlessly clean. The whole set up of the pub and accommodation was outstanding.

Without wanting to mark anything down because the stay was so great, our only comments were comfort of sleeping in the bedroom. The bed had a frame with headboard but also a board at the end which we seemed to kick all night - we are tall people and more used to a divan bed. The other thing that disturbed us was instead of curtains the bedroom window had wooden slatted shutters, which let a lot of light in as soon as the sun came up.

The pub food & friendly staff. The room was very clean & the bed was very comfortable.

It was a disability room so obviously need space .But it needed at least one bedside cabinet with drawers. The heating didn't work so we were very cold & having severe arthritis it was very hard for me.The shower was nice but it flooded the floor which made it very slippery. We did complain about the heating but nothing was done about it.So we ended up leaving a day early.

We loved our little lodge, it was super clean and cosy, the bed was very comfortable. Right on the site of a lovely country pub with beautiful food. The hosts were lovely and welcoming

The only downfall was that we didn't get to have breakfast as planned, staff rota was mixed up so no one to serve us. Felt sorry for the young chef as he was alone. Such a shame as we were looking forward to it as we'd heard such good reviews. We would still return back, this little blip wouldn't stop us
