I booked a single room which looked out onto the DEAL sea-front. It was perfect for my short stay. The accommodation "block" was right next-door to the King's Head where I ate and had a few beers. The staff were great before and during the stay - booked me in for a meal on the Sunday night after the DEAL half-marathon race. Bed was comfy, room was quiet, shower great. I had plenty of room as the single was in fact a twin room. Would I stay here again if I returned to DEAL? Yes, definitely.

My only reservation about staying here was the lack of parking. But, it was NOT an issue. I used "YourParkingSpace" to book a 48hr slot in the local DEAL Sainsbury's car-park (next to the DEAL Railway Station) It wasn't too far to take my luggage etc. In fact, the following day I went on a long walk from DEAL to SANDWICH and caught a train back to DEAL, got in my car and drove home. Perfect!

The pub is situated directly on the seafront overlooking the pier. It’s very well looked after with the outside beautifully decorated with flower boxes. the breakfast was lovely, using local produce and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We met the landlord and his wife who were equally lovely and had time to chat with us about cricket which made my husbands day.

Just a little tip maybe for future guests is to ensure you take a USB plug as we had forgotten our phone chargers (completely our fault) but there weren’t any USB outlets in our room which would’ve been so handy.

I like that it was only an 8 minute walk from the Railway Station. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the long building, a pub with rooms alongside, lovely flower displays on window cills. My downstairs Room 9 in Channel View Guest House was lovely, immaculate, comfy and very quiet. with a sea view too. I had to pay for breakfast which was ok as I eat little, just cereal and fruit and a cup of tea for £5. The location was perfect, close to the High Street and all eateries and cafes if needed, especially the Sir Norman Wisdom Wetherspoons. The King's Head was heaving when I was there both days. I came to go to the Astor Theatre for The Searchers & Hollies Experience and I shall stay there on their next visit. The Staff were lovely too.

Absolutely nothing where I stayed. The weather forecast was for a mild sunny week-end, and it did not happen here or anywhere. It did not spoil the week-end.

From the moment we walked through the door of the Kings head,we just knew our stay there was going to be lovely. It was a lovely little pub with lots of history, and it felt very homely. We were met by the manageress and her team. Who were all very polite and friendly. We were early & our rooms were all ready for us! Brilliant.. A polite young man showed us around & to our room,he even offered to carry our bags (you don't get that offer very often!) Breakfast was amazing, and plenty of it.. Nothing was too much for our hosts. We had a fantastic stay and would say to anyone who is reading this, don't think twice about coming to stay here, come and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Great stay & great location. Louise and Ian

Nothing everything was great 👍

A good sized room right on the sea front. The room had a large bathroom, with a huge bath and a shower. A comfortable double bed, bedside cabinets and a large wardrobe with plenty of coat hangers. There was a kettle with plenty of supplies topped up regularly. Also 2 complimentary bottles of water. A reasonable price and very clean and tidy.

The only thing that my wife remarked on was a full sized mirror would have been nice. The stairs leading up to the top rooms are quite steep so take care.

Great location opposite the beach in the centre of Deal. Our Seaview Room was on the first floor of their Channel View guesthouse annex and was well planned with enough space and storage for a break, a clean modern bathroom and comfy bed. Nice atmosphere in square out the front of the pubs with plenty of food and drink options yet still quiet overnight. Short walk to all other areas of Deal. Friendly helpful, staff provided safe storage overnight for our bikes.

Nothing. I would return

Just loved the position of the The Kings Head..The restaurants we tried was all good..We have never been to Deal before . Will definitely rebook The kings head again..We intend to return before the weather really changes. would like to go for the festival week next year..Great few days.!

The only BIG problem we experienced was the parking near to the Kings head..Only 4hrs allowed. So that was a real problem to have to keep returning to the car..Plus having to set alarm to move our car before 8am!! Find a pay & display car park walk back to the Kings head..Ridiculous the parking isn't good for the guest houses .They need to address this with the local council as you are paying a fortune around £6 every 4hrs..No allday rates that guests can relax..The Kings Head said they have addressed it with the complaints they get from guests. No guest houses have parking so the council are causing problems for these guest houses. Bring in an allday ticket at a reasonable rate for visitors.

Easy to book, good location on the front with car park which I could charge my car overnight staff really professional and friendly

Couldn't find the Wi-Fi code, It was in a welcome/info pack in my sons room, there wasn't one in my room . The main mirror in the bedroom(room 4) is for midgets. Had to bend down to use it- not sure how many 2 ft tall people you get but anyone over 5ft 10 needs to sit or bend down.

We loved: - the location -value for money -incredibly friendly and helpful staff (thank you particularly to Justin) -feeling that you weee staying in a property that was living history

Not the fault of the pub at all: - parking situation in Deal which means you have to keep moving your car - interesting /independent shops and businesses being shut on certain unpredictable days of the week

Such a pretty location, perfectly situated by both the town and the seafront. With ample outside seating for breakfast, lunch or dinner or simply to take in the beautiful surrounds with a favourite tipple! A nice lively vibe of an evening, with lots of families enjoying the outside dining. Helpful & friendly staff ready to assist and a functional room with fantastic sea view & a very comfort bed!
