The staff was absolutely fabulous and so very friendly, which was a comfort as a female solo traveler. I felt very safe the whole time, and my room was very cute. The price is very accurate for what you get, and the amenities were much appreciated. Showers work great if you know how to use it (oops!), and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, and the chef was awesome about getting me exactly what I wanted, including the time of breakfast because I forgot to tell him I'd be coming for breakfast earlier the second morning. Altogether, lovely stay. Also the location is great - I could have sleep walked onto the beach.

When I got to my room my bed was not made, but I seriously didn't mind and know that if I had brought it to the staffs attention it would have been fixed. At that point I was exhausted and just kinda fell into it. It looked clean, as if someone had just gotten distracted in the middle of making a bed. Also the shower right next to my room was broken, but it seemed they were in the process of getting it fixed!

The staff were brilliant: helpful, very friendly throughout, and even offered to check if my room was ready even though I had arrived much earlier. The room was ready, they put the heat on to warm it up, and I checked in early, rather than just leaving my luggage. The location is great, opposite the pier and close to the town. The breakfast was great and I had a very comfortable 2-night stay. Thank you!

I don't recall anything I especially didn't like. I was on the 2nd floor, and the steps might be a bit steep and narrow for some. Perhaps the mattress was a tad soft, but some will like that. So no complaints from me.

Requested a room with a bath, which we got. Also, had a sea view which was lovely. Had eggs benedict for breakfast which were fantastic. - really enjoyed them. My husband had the full english which he said was good. However, just to point out that the photo of the full english on the breakfast menu shows 2 of everything, ie 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 baqcon etc. In fact, you only get one of each. Not a major problem but slightly misleading.

Bed mattres did not suit my back but everyone likes a different mattress, eg soft, firm. The carpet was frayed at the edges and the grouting in the bathroom was showing its age. Not a major issue but the carpet, bathroom tiles and lino are probably all due for an upgrade.

Took the budget room which meant top floor (no elevator) and shared bathroom..but the location right across from beach and pier more than made up for it. 2 blocks to bus and main shopping street.. many restaurants and pubs close by. Breakfast included was big and delicious. Hotel gives you free licker storage so good to come early and go explore. Loved this town! Would stay again

Stairs to top floor were steep and narrow... challenging for us aging folk.. and no ac so room a little hot. Opened the windows and let the breeze in.but then loud outside...did I mention all the pubs close by!

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was served by a really nice lady, and there was a great view of the seafront from the breakfast room. When booking the view from available rooms was described so I knew what to expect... I didn't get a sea view but as I was asleep for most of the time it didn't matter.

Some panes of glass in the bedroom windows were cracked and held together by tape. Not really a problem, but the room itself was otherwise in very good condition so it just detracted a little. Also washbasin was outside of the toilet and shower room which I have seen before in older buildings with private bathrooms/shower rooms added subsequently. Stairs were quite steep and narrow but to be fair this was flagged up at the time of booking.

The breakfast variety was excellent. Stephen the chef cooked it beautifully and his daughter served the breakfast promptly and politely. Spencer was really helpful and polite at all times and happy to help me with a tv that did not work. I spent some time talking with Stephen, his daughter and Spencer and i t was it was lovely and insightful. I will definitely be coming back regularly and hope to see them all soon. Keep doing what you are doing, you do a great job well done, and thank you for making my stay really lovely.

We were three adults, in our room, which was perfectly spacious enough for the three of us, with a perfect view of the sea and the pier and only a short walk to the town centre. It was a sad occasion for us but the staff couldn't have been more accommodating including making space available for other members of our family, who weren't staying, to change for the funeral. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked with an excellent cup of coffee to go with it! Thank you!

Being fresh air people we kept the window open, we could have left it shut as there was a fan, unfortunately the Deal revellers were out and about! Not the hotel's fault but maybe other guests would prefer to shut their window!!

The sea view was absolutely amazing, this hotel is very well located and not far from the train station. The bed was comfortable and there was enough space in the bedroom. The price to stay at Waterfront hotel was very affordable. The staff was overall friendly and professional. We really appreciated to be able to leave our bags at the hotel after our check-out as our train was only later in the day, so we did not have to carry our bags all day.

Sound insulation was unfortunately not very good. We could hear other customers in the corridor and in the bedrooms with which we shared a party wall. The shower pressure was quite low but no problem with the hot water at least. Breakfast was okay for the price, I guess. The food is not top quality but that will do. For some hot food options, the quantity is very generous, though so that's good value for the price. The breakfast staff seemed a bit "overwhelmed" sometimes, though, as we had to wait for the hot food for a while and the waiting staff didn't seem on top of clearing and attending customers.

The staff were exceptional - friendly and helpful - really put themselves out. Unfortunately there is no lift but the staff carried the bags up to our rooms and downstairs when we left. The beds were comfortable and towels were replaced daily. The tea tray had a fresh supply of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and a bottle of water when the room was serviced every day. Breakfast was very well-cooked and tasty and there was a good choice of cereals, yogurts and a full-English breakfast. You could make your own breakfast choices if you didn’t want the full works.

There was no lift but the staff helped with bags. Some of the furniture and fittings in the bedroom were a bit dated but that didn’t affect the comfort.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and was easy to find. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was lovely and clean with a nice modern shower. The building itself is on the older side and full of character, in my opinion, much nicer than some of the 'sterile' chains. I also ate at the restaurant and had the most delicious fisherman's pie I have ever eaten, followed by a truly scrumptious sticky toffee pudding!
