Has been tastefully resorted and updated and is a little slice of luxury! The rooms are beautifully decorated, bathrooms are finished to a high standard and the common areas are beautifully finished with lots of lovely, nautical touches. Gin and tonic in the room on arrival was a lovely touch. We had to move rooms due to an incident out of the hotel’s control. The staff could not have dealt with this any better and moved us to a new room. Hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Fantastic location, and a true feeling of being on holidays in this hotel.

Lift was broken for the duration of our stay, we felt the hotel could have offered some compensation in lieu of this as we were on the 3rd floor. Parking is quite expensive considering we were already paying for the room. Disappointing to have to pay extra for a hot breakfast (we did not do this, but would have expected hot breakfast to be included in the price).

Clean and stylish

Shower room floor drain completely block so had to take drain tray out so I did not flood the bathroom. Staff in breakfast room could be more friendly, a greeting of good Morning we won’t be too long, rather than ignoring us as we waited.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from Padstow harbour. Rooms are spacious, spotless, and modern, with a super comfortable king-size bed and a lovely touch of complimentary gin. Breakfast was very good, with ocean views from the dining room. Staff were kind and went above and beyond — after checkout we were able to work remotely from a common room with excellent Wi-Fi, and they let us keep our car parked. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay again!

The only small downside was that hotel bikes were unavailable due to repairs, but they gave us a great recommendation for a local rental instead.

Few hiccups on arrival - child's bed wasn't ready etc but once mentioned at reception it was rectified immediately. Huge shoutout to the staff at reception who were super helpful and considerate to our needs, even offering us a room change if we weren't happy. Location is fantastic. Restaurant food is really delicious, would recommend eating here. Hotel is very nicely presented.

Staff are fully aware but parking is an issue. It is a first come first served basis so unless you arrive prior to the 3pm check in, you will likely struggle to park, which after a long drive to get there is not something you want. Luckily we did manage to secure a spot later.

It's a wonderful hotel with a rich history, the staff are very friendly. There was one lady in particular who worked in the restaurant every morning, such a wonderful personality, always with a smile and even a little lite banter.

Booking.Com lack of explanation of the breakfast included, it should state that the breakfast is only continental and cooked is extra, due to the lack of understanding of this there was a scene which I was embarrassed In front of other guests. I do not suggest the staff were in anyway impolite, but it did make me feel awkward.

Despite the austere exterior the inside was bright and beautifully decorated. It was perfect for exploring the area. The view at breakfast was amazing. The rooms were well stocked with a coffee machine and they were quiet. The air con in the room was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There seemed to be some staff shortages eg one day our room was not cleaned until 5.30 and some of the breakfast staff were saying “it’s very busy we’re overwhelmed “ yet it was not yet the high season. We had a large bed but a not quite large enough duvet!

Location was excellent both for view and nearness to main shopping area. Steps down were an added bonus as we certainly need the exercise after eating all the delicious food. Continental Breakfast was 100% and I can't see why anyone would want a cooked breakfast as the variety was so good - but that's my opinion of course.

Lighting in room - could have done with better lighting over bathroom mirror and mirror in bedroom. Too many cushions but that's a personal pet hate and not a criticism. Wardrobe space was adequate for weekend but a few hooks on walls would have been good. Nelson, our pet seagull, who turned up every day and looked at us hopefully was a bonus!

Bed was very comfy and view was good. Loved the shower and bathroom.Our room was very clean and your housekeeping staff are a credit to your hotel. Loved the service we received ftom Callum and Shiv in the bar/restaurant. What a pair of enthusiastic and innovative young men! Great location easy to walk down into main town .

At breakfast we had to ask for items that should have been freely available i.e additional cutlery, butter, napkins. Juices and milk were warm as were other food items that should have been chilled i.e yoghurt, fruit salad. Meats, cheese and oats. Chairs in dining room conservatory area were very stained and were not a credit to a 4* establishment. Your restautant management is lettng the hotel down in our opinion.

The staff are the hotel’s best asset. They are really friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is in a great location, the decor is cool and stylish if not a little tired in places. We ate in the hotel restaurant (The Jetty) on the Friday night and had a really delicious meal. Again, the staff were great. ( We ate in the acclaimed Mariner’s pub in Rock the following day and were really disappointed. The food in the hotel restaurant was far superior.) The breakfast staff in the restaurant were also really friendly and polite. The bed was super comfortable and the bedlinen wonderfully crisp and soft.

I felt that the hotel bedroom was a bit grubby in places, for instance there was grime on the bathroom door which could easily have been addressed with a cloth and a bit of Cif! The bathroom steamed up quickly and smelt a bit mouldy as there were no windows to allow the steam to escape. I think that the room carpets etc need a really good deep clean. We stayed on the ground floor in a room with a door onto the garden. This would be fantastic for dog owners ( and brilliant to know that the hotel caters for dogs) but was quite noisy from the restaurant above.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to the harbour and centre. The hotel has undergone an extensive renovation and was tastefully done. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful and made us feel really welcome. Rooms are nice and comfortable, however the bathroom was nice although a little small. Continental breakfast was included and more than acceptable with plenty of variety. A cooked English breakfast was available if required.

Nothing really except the bar and lounge would be better with some nice comfortable furniture with took away from a nice smart bar area.
