The location in the heart of the village is fantastic. Close to the charming little harbor where the tides provide a great experience every day. The view over the bay from our balcony made our stay complete. All nice and good restaurants are within a short walking distance.

Our room was nice but very small and little space for your luggage. The narrow double bed was not really comfortable for us to sleep in. That couldn't be better given the layout of the floor. But it is something to take into account when considering booking here.

Im not really sure where to start with this one because it was fabulous. Ben and his team are amazing - helpful, chatty and real made us feel special. The hotel is very quaint and perfectly located. Our room (No 4) was very tiny but I had deliberately chosen that one for the view, which was just what my husband and I had hoped for. Even though the room was small it was well appointed and had everything we needed. We had cream tea there which was as Ben had promised really yum and he came and chatted to us every time we ate at the restaurant. He also said it was absolutely fine for us to use the table and chairs in the restaurant area to do some work on the laptop which was very kind of him. Hayley welcomed us on arrival and again made us feel very special, she was very jovial and welcoming which was just what we needed after a long day of travel. We had been really worried about no cars being allowed to park in the village but it was really very easy with 2 minute parking to unload suitcases then just a 5 minute walk to and from the main car park. I would fully recommend both Port Isaac and The Slipway Hotel to anyone.

Absolutley nothing

Lovely character filled pub in excellent location. Our room was small ( as expected) but recently renovated and good use of small space. We chose a room with a window view over the slipway and loved the view. A lovely breakfast with several cooked options. We weren’t aware that there was a dining room with a separate menu from the pub, so missed the chance to eat here but the menus looked great and we wished we had.

Nothing - it was what we expected to enjoy an overnight stay in central port Isaac. The room was above the outside bar and although we had expected it to be noisy it was just general chatter.

The hotel was in a really great location in Port Isaac and our room overlooked the slipway which is always a hive of activity.

The room was very small, and the bathroom was almost too small to be useable. The shower base was 55cmx55cm which precluded bending over or reaching knees or feet to clean them! This was the smallest shower I have ever seen, and the entire bathroom was small enough to fit in a broom cupboard! There was nowhere to hang wet clothing or coats to dry and after a full day of walking in the rain we had to set off again the next day with wet gear.

We had a great short break at The Slipway, very recently. We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the food excellent. The Slipway is situated in a great central position on the Harbourside and is open all day for drinks and food and the cream tea was fab. It is also a very short walk to some lovely little shops, a pottery and gallery, etc and plenty of coffee shops and great restaurants. The coastal walks are amazing.

We have no complaints about The Slipway.

Room was nicely decorated, spotless and they catered for my gluten free and vegetarian needs as well as having soya milk. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies and bed and pillows very comfy. I would definitley stay there again if I went to Port Isacc again.

The location was lovely but I found there was not a lot to do so couple of days plenty to do the Doc Martin Tour and we saw some ladies singing on the night which was lovely. Not all places catered very well for someone gluten free and also vegetarian and disappointed lack of GF scones. It would have been nice to have a pizza place and more to do maybe arts and crafts, cornish cooking workshops that sort of thing.

Location was superb. We went to Port Isaac as were big fans of doc Martin and from the balcony in the room you could see the harbour, doc martins house and the school. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and the rooms were always stocked with bottled water and other amenities like tea/coffee and decaf options also. Breakfast was of the highest quality with a mix of continental and full veggie/ full English breakfast options. We really enjoyed our staff and if in the area would stay here again.

The walk from the car park to the hotel and back again. We should have got a taxi really as it’s a very steep incline.

The location is perfect for a visit to Port Isaac. The rooms are quaint and comfy, although the bathroom is 'compact' the decor and comfort was great. We had a balcony room (#1) which was lovely to get some fresh air in and sit outside and watch the world go by. It was only an overnight stay but well worth it to such a lovely spot. The staff went above and beyond to help. Remember to pack light as there is quite a walk from the public car park to/from the Slip Inn or if you're game you can drive down to drop off luggage but still have to park at the car park.

It is a beautiful quirky hotel in an excellent location. The staff are fantastic and the breakfast is delicious. The veggie sausages are superb, and I'm not usually a veggie substitute fan. They are like bubble and squeak in sausage form. If you are a Doc Martin fan, you are right in the thick of it here. It's a traditional old Cornish building, so not designed for someone over 6ft, so be careful. But it's a great hotel and the staff are lovely. Ebony in particular was very helpful and has great taste in music. Plenty of good places nearby, The Golden Lion and Black are both well worth a visit. Just bring some sturdy boots, as it's nice and hilly around there. Highly recommend a stay at the Slipway.

The location of the hotel was phenomenonal: being on the platt where the action was. We had a beautiful room with a balcony. The service was excellent. Steve checked us in and always had a friendly Hello for us. We saw him work very hard throughout the days we were there. The breakfast we had was delicious and in an unique and very bright room.

The only thing was that the bathroom was incredibly small. We appreciate that the building is historic and old and having an ensuite put in must have been difficult. But we regularly got scalded by the radiator when we bent over! We didn't mind the small bedroom as we got used to manoeuvring around the bed and we really enjoyed the beautiful views from the balcony. But we scored 10 out of 10 despite the size of the bathroom as everything else was exceptional. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.
