Spacious accommodation in a quiet location, separate entrance, outdoor seating, parking in front of the house. Privacy. Views of the countryside and the distant sea. Well-equipped kitchen, with stove, oven and microwave. Comfortable beds in two separate bedrooms. Spacious living room. The accommodation is part of a pub with a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and food. We would consider accommodation again.

Upon arrival, it was found that there were long black hairs and toilet paper residues in the drain grate of the bathtub (probably?). Cleaning took a few minutes, but it does not make a good impression at first. Otherwise, there was no problem with cleanliness.

All the staff were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. There was a very relaxed, friendly ambience throughout the hotel, and throughout the whole day. The food was excellent, with good portions. Real value for money. We felt welcomed to all the activities, even 'local' community events and signposted to places of interest. We felt far more like appreciated welcomed visitors in someone's own home than hotel guests.

Brilliant owners- very welcoming and helpful. Great location for the SW Coastal path, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Padstow, Newquay and local villages. Breakfast was great- lots of options and tasty food. The optional evening meals are basic but wholesome; it is a very friendly inn and popular with the locals. Parking was convenient. The room was quite dated but generally clean, well equipped and toiletries/tea & coffee provided. The room was spacious and the bed very comfy and lovely and warm- the heating was easy to use. Shower was lovely too! TV easy to use and ample sockets.

The bathroom could do with a heated towel rail as there is nowhere to dry these. Although generally clean, some of the pillow cases were stained.

Good atmosphere in the bar, and the owner could not do enough for us. Felt very comfortable. The room was very spacious with seating area, and plenty of tea/coffee provided. Great views from room, and very peaceful location. Rooms could be considered a little dated, but we found them nostalgic and very pleasant, Food was very good (evening meal and breakfast) with staff working very hard to keep everyone happy. Recommend for a stopover if in the area. Plenty of parking spaces.

Nothing stood out as a real negative

Lovely pub, hotel near the North Cornwall coast. Good food available in the evening. Breakfasts very good too. Comfortable and spacious room - we booked the Superior Double - well worth the small extra cost. Good base for exploring North Cornwall.

We would have appreciated an outdoor beer garden, though there were a couple of benches in the grounds. The food was very good but I was hoping to see “fish and chips” on the menu!

the 2 bed apartment was large, spacious and with a small kitchenette. The Inn which was about 100 paces door to door was warm and inviting with a good bar and excellent food. Should we visit the area again this is the place we will check availability first and we have recommended it to our friends.

There is nothing we didn't like, but if I am being very picky all I can think of is that the beds was a but thin and springy for what we are used to. But these are not our beds and they was good enough to get a good nights sleep.

The staff were absolutely excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them. Good choice for breakfast and cooked to perfection, the same with the evening meal. If you are looking for a quiet situated place to stay with a bar and food I would not hesitate to recommend the Poldark Inn

I found the pillows to be a bit hard and lumpy and the bath towels were rather on the small side.

Location was perfect , staff very friendly and accomodating. Restaurant meals were great I had the lasagna, my wife had the beef curry and both meals were great. Room was a little small but understandable in an old Inn, though the bed was also small and the down side was the bed linen , not up to par with few stains on pillow cases and sheets. Though we would stay here again.

The bed linen with stains turned us off a little.

Staff very friendly. Good home cooked food. Full English breakfast was excellent with locally sourced produce. Comfortable bed. Netflix on the TV was a bonus!

The language of the "locals" was a bit offensive in the bar especially with families with young children present. Room was comfortable but dated. Would have preferred a walk in shower.

Mini tv, only 1shampoo and 1 shower gel for 2people,after breakfast we used downstairs toilet and was not cleaned after busy evening at pub same as garden area/picnic tables full of empty glasses
