The price was very reasonable, so our expectations were very reasonable as well. However, we were really impressed with the quality and practicality of the fittings in the room. Small touches, such as wireless chargers on the bedside tables, an excellent shower, contactless lighting in the bathroom. Someone has clearly thought about how guests would use the rooms and designed things to enhance the experience. Everything was clean and pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We liked everything. The building doesn't look particularly attractive from outside, but that stopped mattering the instant we were inside.

Lovely clean room with plenty of space and everything needed for a short stay, also a bookable parking space. Just a few minutes walk to the High Street ² Value for money would have been a 10 if I'd booked direct, but I made the mistake of using a booking website. Give them a ring!

The location was perfect for an overnight stay - less than 5 mins from the train station and about the same to walk to the main high street. It was very comfortable with good amenities and thoughtful touches, like an honesty box of drinks and snacks, and of course tea and coffee making facilities. I arrived a little while before check-in and was able to drop my bags and they got put in my room while I was out. Couldn’t fault my stay or the friendly staff and would happily stay again.

The Regent Rye was an excellent choice of stays. The room and bathroom were so incredibly clean and comfortable as well as spacious for 2 people. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The location is in the town center and perfectly located near attractions, shops, restaurants, and the train station.
When damp, the towels smelled a bit sour.

Good location.
Room access ie reception and stairs rather scruffy. Room rather noisy road side. Car parking charged for which adds another £7 per night. Actually we didn’t need it, but just another add on.

Room was really cute, great facilities. Big windows, had a hair dryer and a tea set up! Staff were so friendly, let us check in early! Lovely area!
Only thing it could have done with if I had to pick something, is a small fridge. However it didn’t impact the trip!

We stayed in the Beach Room. It was a beautiful bright airy room which was spotlessly clean. Bathroom was also fabulous. We particularly liked having a sink each. Great location very close to both the station and the town.
Nothing, all good!

The family room is spacious and very clean. room is modern and the bathroom is really good as well. Beds are soft and comfy, it’s also at the back side of the house so quite with no noise. I first doubted choosing this room as the name ‘Motel’ didn’t give me a hotel room impression - but it has turned out to be a great decision! Excellent location as well, 3 min to the train station and high street.

Location fantastic and enhanced by booked safe parking. Room simple, but very comfortable, and furnished to modern, clean and comfortable standard. Staff very welcoming and Spencer's so cool! Limited range of drinks, but stocked all our faves!
Everything was great.
