Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to centre of Rye. Friendly efficient staff. Lovely location. Excellent breakfasts. Nice outdoor area for sitting by the river and able to get drinks from midday.

Only did breakfasts at present. Not really a problem as loads of restaurants and cafes within a 5-10 minutes walk to walk. However, it would be great if they were to consider offering light basic snacks in the evening to save getting wet going out if pouring with rain.

Very good choice for breakfast. Staff were very polite and very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was quite noisy in the room as it was situated on the road side not on the river side. First night was uncomfortable as it had been a hot day so windows were open at night. After that windows were closed and quieter but still there was a dim of noise. The location of the hotel was brilliant, not on the main high streets but a couple of minutes walk down the river to old town Rye. Stay was very good, next time would book a river side room. Parking was spacious and easy.

Room was noisy from the outside road. Bed could have been more comfortable but was ok.

The location was great very old fashioned looking small very quite just up my streak!!!. I found out that going elsewhere like for instance Hastings by train or a bus ride I went via train journey only 3 stops day return ticket will be cheaper!!. This way to eat out not to many places but that's not a bad thing I feel we all are spoilt with choice and don't really appreciate this in the long run but for what was available I enjoyed both my meals. Where stayed it was very good the room I stayed in had smart TV not every channel but the main ones yes indeedy!! Overall I was truly satisfied with my trip to rye.I will be coming again in the near future.

The only thing in my room the central heating wasn't working in the main room but the ensuite that one was working fine. And maybe just my morning there I noticed a few ants coming from the outside.

All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We srroved well before put check in time so we could have a walk around rye, we asked if we could leave put car in the car park and that was no trouble to them at all. The location was great, we had a ground room with a small area to sit outside, it was beautiful. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, we requested to borrow an iron and was given to us straight away, have experienced in other hotels taking over an hour to loan an iron. Everything about our stay here was excellent. We come to Rye often, and this is the first time we have stayed here, but we will definitely be using it again.

I can't say there was anything I didn't like.

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.nice bright room on the ground floor as I had a little dog, ( which they utterly spoiled) the breakfast was 10/10 lots of it too, this place is a real hidden gem, if only rye itself was so accommodating, very few shops let dogs in, most food shops do, strangely enough, but the other shops. Which I’d have liked to have gone in to look around and buy something from, but No dogs signs everywhere, what a shame, come on rye. You’re missing a trick,

It’s a really good place to stay- externally it doesn’t look as good as it does inside - the staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were well sized, really clean and tidy, Li was d the bar the draught beers were really good - All my friends said they would come again- and we 100% will.

Only thing I would have liked was a room fridge for a cold drink, as I am quite a hot person - don't laugh- that would of been the cherry on the cake. That all said the room was great. Enjoyed our stay 😊

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Went above and beyond to accommodate any requests, nothing was too much trouble. The room we had was great, simple but well equipped. The bed was a little harder than we are used to but still comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Location wise it was perfect. A short stroll into the town. Surrounded by lovely restaurants, pubs and historic buildings. We would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable room with nice facilities - super-comfy bed, good tea/coffee-making facilities, casual chairs and a nice welcome pack. Breakfast was the highlight - superb selection and buffet & cooked menu, and beautifully cooked.

TV a bit small & difficult to see properly from the bed; low water pressure from shower; absence of restaurant for evening meals, despite the outside board suggesting otherwise. But the latter was not of great consequence as only stayed one night & there is a great choice of eating places in the town within short walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located a few minutes' walk from Rye's town centre and has plenty of free onsite parking. Our room (8) was very clean and had an exceptionally comfortable bed. The hotel's staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was closed for evening meals during our stay but there are plenty of alternatives in the town centre. We went to a Turkish restaurant (Layla) and a Mexican one (Los Gringos) which were both great. Breakfast in the hotel was good and had several vegetarian options.

Nothing - the River Haven is a great hotel and we would happily stay there again.

Very convenient location in the heart of Rye town centre with plenty of onsite free parking. Staff, young girl with blonde hair was very polite and attentive. Room was modern clean, teas coffees, overlooking the water, and cooked breakfast was a bonus. Perfect for a quick visit to Rye.

On a busy road luckily we were not that side of the building so did not bother us, the location and above points definitely makes up for it
