The spacious entrance lobby was immaculate and welcoming. Zoe welcomed us and was very efficient at checking us in. Nothing was too much trouble , we will definitely stay again when in the area. Even the fact there was an issue and the restaurant was closed , we had a takeaway and used the restaurant facilities, rather than eating in our rooms. The room was clean and the bathroom spotless , particularly loved the two heights of shower heads , I wish every hotel had these. We couldn't fault our stay. The continental breakfast was delicious and Yorkshire tea !!! Thank you Zoe and all for making our stay a pleasant one.

Maybe a family room next time.

Firstly Gaz who checked us in and took food and drinks orders couldn’t have done more, great customer focused attitude, would be a great long term employee, unfortunately the hotel are making him redundant the day after we checked out. The staff on breakfast duty were also great too. Rooms are warm but comfortable however windows were screwed down and the aircon unit had no remote control or other way to turn it on. Meals are ok and well prepared. Although next to a dual carriageway the traffic noise was unnoticeable.

Having to pay for parking on an app to a 3rd party. Dislike anything additional that’s not pre advised clearly. If you have to pay for parking make it clear and add it to my bill !!

An excellent one-nighter. Very kind, friendly and helpful staff, nice big well-appointed room, excellent breakfast and a good evening meal. Very comfortable bed. Only 25 mins into York centre (I guess it's good for Leeds, too). There's nothing around this hotel so don't go expecting night life etc; it's a great place to stop off if you're travelling long distance. No noise at all from the dual carriageway outside.

I think the WIFI was a bit slow or intermittent but it wasn't a problem for us. Thanks to all the staff for being so welcoming.

a nice hotel even thou it was busy it was very quiet pleasant staff clean room and bathroom didnt have breakfast left for work before they serve at 7am the food was very nice food at evening times

stayed for 2 nights wasnt told the rooms would not be serviced so arrived back at the hotel at 6.30pm after work on day 1 to find my towels in a heap damp on the floor also they were a bit mean on teabags and sugar 2 teabags and 2 normal sugars 4 pots milk

I would happily return to this hotel if I was in the area again. The room was a comfortable size. Tea & coffee tray was well equipped with plenty of drinks and a pack of biscuits. I had my 2 large dogs with me and there was plenty of room for their crates to fit in the room. I expected it to be noisy with it being on the main road but it was actually very quiet which was a huge bonus as I hate noise!

There's nothing to complain about really. The bed was comfortable, just slightly too firm for me but not dreadful by any means. There wasn't really anywhere that you could walk the dog except the car park but it wouldn't stop me from returning for an overnight stay. I couldn't really fault the place.

Good breakfast (in my case, scrambled eggs on toast, cooked to order), room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. No issues with checking in or out.

No lift to upstairs rooms (it wasn't mentioned), so staff could have asked if I needed help with my obviously oversized bag. A bit of a trek to the room, which was right at the end of the corridor - not sure why given there were only a handful of vehicles in the car park. Carpet was a bit dated in the room, which was otherwise good.

Only one night but a great stay. Staff were fabulous and very helpful and friendly. Ate in the restaurant and both dinner and breakfast were delicious and very good value. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone wanting either a night stopover or a longer stay. Room was extremely comfortable and spotless. The fact we could have our dogs with us both in the room and when we ate in the outer dining room was super. Easy to access and ample parking will definitely use again. Thank you.

Well situated for us as we were attending a dog show. So dog friendly, the staff were exceptional. Very warm and friendly and our Boxers thoroughly enjoyed being fussed. They could not do enough for us. The room was spacious and the bathroom immaculate.

Situated on an A road so limited opportunity to exercise the dogs. In future we would stop off beforehand. However the room was very quiet, could not hear the cars.

Clean, comfortable room. Very tasty breakfast - cooked to order. Friendly staff, even taking an interest in chatting to my daughter about her having climbed Ben Nevis the day before.

The shower needed maintenance - was leaking at the shower head. The coffee on offer at breakfast was just a generic freeze dried packet. Offering a fresh coffee from the machine (which they did have on the bar) would have made a real difference to my breakfast experience (I had to go back to my room and make a coffee with some that I brought with me).

Very comfortable bed! And back bedroom very quiet. Excellent staff.

The exterior of the building is disgraceful Extremely poor external lighting meant I drove by 2x as sign very small & poorly lit. Exterior lighting would improve the facility enormously. The external car area is covered in weeds & needs a very good wash. The back of the building, all be it a storage facility, is extremely unattractive! As well as very dirty! We don’t sleep there but it’s a mess & detracts from the hotel.
