The breakfast and service was excellent we really enjoyed our full breakfast. The evening meals on both nights were excellent really tasty and well presented all of us really enjoyed them. Our room was perfect with a separate room for my friend's Teenage granddaughter and a really large comfortable and clean bed with well appointed lights and sockets by the bed. Good tea and coffee facilities and a large TV, cleans towels, hand soap and body/shampoo next to the bath. one of the best family rooms we have stayed in. The customer service was excellent and we would use the Hotel /Pub again.
Slight problem with the Key ring and door locks but this was rectified immediately by the helpful member of staff right away.

Very friendly staff; easy to find with plenty of parking space. Staying in the annexe meant it was quieter than being over the pub which I liked and the room was clean and well presented with all you needed for a short stay. The bed was also super comfy!! Slept very well. I had dinner in the pub and the food was very tasty and a good range of choice.
While everything was clean the bathroom decor was a little tired (tiles around the bath) and there must have been a condensation issue with some paint bubbles in corners of the bedroom but to be honest so small it didn’t feel ‘unclean’ and can be easily fixed. As a solo traveller I also would have preferred a better security option on the door like a chain or option to lock the yale / handle from the inside - not sure if mine was faulty because no matter what I did the door didn’t seem to lock securely to prevent access (albeit someone would have to have the key to open the door) but I just would like a little more ‘secure feeling’ - that sense of I’m locked in / door bolted kind of thing when you’re travelling alone and in a strange place.

Great pub in a good location. Staff were very friendly and efficient. I stayed in room1 in the pub whilst the others of our party were in the annexe. Clean and tidy with fresh linen and towels plus good tea & coffee facilities. Typical good pub food served hot. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked.
Only one small complaint and that is the bathroom could have been cleaner. There were brown stains down the toilet and black marks in the bath. Other than that great value for money and would definitely stay again.

It was lovely and clean. The bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful.
You couldn’t open the window a little- it was fully open or fully closed! Breakfast- my omelette was a tad burnt. Also one young lady who worked there was rather abrupt - we couldn’t get through the coded door and asked her for help but we felt we had put her out or she felt we were incapable of putting a code in. ( we did several times but it failed to open ).she was also very blunt at breakfast.

Great little find with well set out comfy rooms, friendly staff and everything you need for a one night stop over.
All in all very clean and tidy except the bathroom which had a toilet seat hanging off and the guests before me used floss on the window ledge! The food service was okay to start but the food itself not great, my mixed grill was so over cooked I couldnt eat it so left it, nobody came over to ask if everything was alright so I didn't make a fuss, I just wouldn't eat there again or recommend it, such a shame as it had so much potential.

A good vfm bed for the night which was my top priority. Dinner was good but it's no reflection on the Owl to draw attention to the scarcity of menu option that are accompanied by vegetables, it was a warm night so Sea bream edged out the pie. Enjoyed the Hobgoblin Gold but the expected Pedigree was sadly missed 😢. Excellent breakfast for the price and top marks to the staff all round.
Knee room in the bathroom.

The breakfast on Friday was very good but not so good on Saturday. Wasn't cooked fresh and had been kept warm. Need to adjust the toaster. Toast was anaemic looking when put through once then black if put through a 2nd time.
Provide more teapots. Insufficient supply to give to everyone. A teabag in a cup is not very professional. Your website is frequently inaccessible. On this occasion, we had to use Booking.com to allow us to book a room in a timely manner It would be good if you could consider a Loyalty Programme for frequent visitors.

Everything we have stayed here twice now and plan on going back again. It's the best we have ever stayed in. Never fails staff are 💯 percent committed to making sure you have a lovely stay nothing is too much trouble for them they don't stand around talking to each other like some places. Everything was perfect. The bed was comfy and very spacious. Room exceptionally clean and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and clean and filling exceptional. Would honestly 💯 % recommend.
Nothing. I really can't think of 1 single thing. If anything it would be that there was no yoghurt out but that's nothing.

Perfect location for what we needed to do. Reasonably priced room with a lovely, large bed.
Need to provide more teabags in the rooms. 2 teabags for 2 people is not enough. More provided on request at the hotel. Decaffeinated coffee offered but not Decaffeinated tea. Why? Booking.com need to offer pre-bookable breakfast and a Loyalty Programme by you or the hotel would be appreciated as we normally visit at least twice a year.

Clean modern facilities, away from the pub in a separate annexe. Really large bed which was quite comfortable.
The heating couldn’t be switched off, the radiator had a mind of its own, even when off was still quite hot, had to keep all the windows open. The shower was good but again seemed to be hot or hotter couldn’t find a cooler setting
