Having celebrated our golden wedding here last September, we were delighted that our niece decided to have her 50th party here. We stayed overnight and once again found everything to be exceptional. We were pleased to meet up again with Mandy and all the other staff, who continue to give first class service coupled with friendliness. The buffet was great and the room beautifully laid out. Didn't get to use the refurbished swimming pool this time sadly due to our time restraints, but everything was just as we remembered it, perfect. Hoping someone else decides to celebrate here so we have an excuse to revisit!! Thanks team

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming - Nothing was too much trouble. We booked the hotel based on it having a swimming pool, which we used several times. It was clean, with shower and changing facilities and the children had a wonderful time playing in the pool. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a modern walk in shower. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of continental and cooked options. We had a short but lovely stay and would definitely visit again if in the area.

There wasn't a great deal of choice for dining out near the hotel, and you would need a car to go exploring. Not a problem for us though.

The room was clean and tidy and quite big enough. The bed was comfortable, and we both slept very well. The gardens around the hotel were nice. The bathroom was small but adequate. The swimming pool was good, with a sauna too. The sauna was small but adequate and hot enough! The were plenty of parking spaces around the hotel. The breakfast was fine and just enough of each item, except mushrooms, but then we love lots of mushrooms!

We could have had more mushrooms!!

We have stayed before and have enjoyed both visits very much.Very clean and comfy beds,and sheets and towels.Shower and toilet exceptional. Very Private too.Breakfast good and morish! Staff lovely.

Some email promotions from Best Western offering free breakfasts, which I tried to follow up on and got re-directed to H.O. in Italy.The hotel not part of this scheme,which was misleading.

The staff were really friendly and helpful which made our stay so much more enjoyable! We didn't get to eat at the hotel as they did not serve food on Christmas Eve (which was on a Sunday so this may have been the reason for no restaurant). The breakfast on Christmas morning however was great. We had booked two rooms, both were a great size, had very large beds, were clean and well equipped. The hotel was warm and comfortable. Brilliant to have a swimming pool which had long opening times.

The beds were huge but one of them was lumpy. Both had very clean bedding and covers although the bedding felt 'crispy' and crunched when you moved.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. They had great suggestions of what to do, where to go. They happily provided us with proper milk in a jug for our room (rather than UHT sachets)

The bathroom was looking a little tired. Completely clean but just looked a bit old and the sealant was coming away on the bath.

Staff were excellent.

No Air Conditioning (but provided fans); however, as the hotel is a wedding venue to keep the noise down (from function room) we had to close the window so got a tad warm. In the hotels defence they did warn us that there was a wedding on prior to arrival. Not particularly convenient for the town centre.

Staff were very friendly. Facilities were good as was the pool.

Maintenance man/Gardener shouted at us to keep our dog on a lead. There is no signage as such and no bin to put any dog bags into. We carried our out with us till we found a bin. He needs etiquette training.

The building had a bit of history and plenty of parking and free electric charging point! The staff were really lovely and the swimming pool was the reason why we chose this hotel. Dinner in the evening was very good and reasonably priced.

It would be nice if the sauna was switched on first thing as hotel guests are generally out during the day.

Having booked this hotel back in January we were excited to stay here so we could attend a friends wedding on Saturday. Like most weddings they are usually before your allotted checkin times. We did enquire before hand for a possible early check in and was told if it’s possible and room could be ready then they would do what they can. We arrived around 1230 to meet some friends and was told on arrival that the room was not ready. However within half and hr the lady on reception found us and told us that our room was available and we could check in. This was excellent news which allowed us to drop our luggage and freshen up before departing for the wedding. Thank you.

While we waiting we were told that the bar didn’t open until 3pm, and we could get a drink across the road. The half moon. Having walked over we found that this bar/pub was closed completely. Oh well Coffee it was then.
