Upon arrival at reception the member of staff was very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are all to hand - a bar and dining area for breakfast as well as an electric car charging point. We were able to park right outside our room which was very convenient for unloading luggage. The room was very clean and had everything we needed.

The general cleanliness in the car park could have been better (there was litter outside the reception entrance) and the room would benefit from curtains with a blackout lining, as there was a light right outside the door to the room and also the morning light penetrated through the curtains. The decor is a little outdated, but don't let this put you off as the room was clean and well equipped. The mattress was a little soft for my liking, however I appreciate that this is down to personal preference.

Good place to stay… separate rooms in a row / block, at the back of the site, that overlook a cricket ground which makes it feel like it’s in the countryside. Room was fairly spacious with a large bathroom. Quiet, safe & peaceful. Easy parking just by the rooms, and onsite there is a gym, restaurant & bar. Staff were helpful & friendly too. WiFi included in the price.

Property & facilities are a little dated… but still comfortable and in good condition.

The people at reception were very polite and friendly. I left my card in the room when I went out and they happily provided me a new entry card for my room. There were house keepers every day who were also very friendly. The room was a great size, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was great. This is a lovely place.

There is nothing I did not like.

The location and surroundings of the hotel is lovely, with the cricket pitch and sports venue. I loved the arrangement of the rooms having their own entrance, like a motel then the classic hotel set up. The staff could not do enough for you and were very helpful. The family room was excellent, with the four poster bed, twins and sofa. It had everything you could need, with all the classics as standard, which you normally have to pay extra for. It was huge space and very well set up. It was clean and welcoming on entrance. The fact the hotel charged for the room and not guests is how it should be. Originally their were two of us, but the room allowed up to four and three of us went to a near by venue, so was nice when told we had paid for the room and just needed to let the hotel know the numbers of people if it changes. Also that it could be adults and not the usual hotel refusal of only two adults max. We were friends sharing, so more enjoyable than having to have separate rooms, further cost, it meant the escape could be enjoyed throughout.

You know what I am struggling to find anything at all. There’s a little bar and place for food, the location is great and easy to find. Staff were excellent and once booked in you were left to just enjoy the hotel. The room couldn’t offer anymore and was a great size and the sofa idea is excellent. Sorry but it’s all good from us! The price was fair and we will be booking again.

The young girl receptionist was very helpful. Apologetic if there was a problem, and doing more than manning reception. It was good being able to park near the room.

Kettle seemed to be faulty. Working intermittently. No teaspoons, but the young receptionist rectified it as soon as she could. No automatic replenishment of milk for coffee in the room on second day. Breakfast was good when it arrived, but the young receptionist seemed to be doing it all. A group waited some time, but then left to find breakfast elsewhere. Seemed insufficient staff at that time.

The location was convenient and attractive. Situated opposite the local cricket ground it must be very picturesque in good weather. The room was rather cool initially but we turned up the radiator and the temperature was then comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The area around the hotel is nice and quiet. Very nice to have parking right outside the door.

The decor was a bit ‘tired’ but the room was clean.

The rooms were clean to a high standard, All staff and management were excellent friendly and caring my partner took really poorly while staying here and had to be took to stoke royal , the staff where excellent thoughtful and kind during this happening and we're going above and beyond to ensure we were okay.... The staff and management are a credit to this hotel thank yous so much we Appriciate everything The breakfasts are nice aswell well cooked nice runny eggs... Perfect thankyous all again

The location was key in our case.

The bath was supposed to assist disabled peopled but there was a notice that said slippy when wet. Bit silly really. If you’re disabled as I am to an extent, There is no way you would get into that bath. Maybe a non slip surface would help

The separate business providing the breakfast in the hotel was excellent. Very good food, good service and exceptional value for money.

Contrary to the Tollgate services on offer, the availability of a great morning fry up is not listed. We do not understand why?

The facility to park outside the room. Spacious,clean and good storage space. Would stay again as ideally situated for where we were working over the weekend.

Furnishings a little tired .Traffic noise from road behind bathroom( closing bathroom door did block some kf this out) also from cricket club ground and clubhouse.Thankfully any entertainment in the clubhouse subsided by 11pm
