Very friendly helpful staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. Good location...plenty of shops and McDonalds...so Happy Meals went down well with my boys! Bizarre experience with glasses and cups moving on their own in front of my eyes!!! Weird but just added to the experience...staff at reception made aware..think she thought i was off my nut!..Nice hotel, breakfast was very nice..much better than Travelodge etc..recommend...Will come again next year when I take my boys to Alton Towers

Nothing to not like. Two nights, friendly staff...comfortable rooms. Much better than other hotels i have stayed...even if it's haunted!!

The location was great for us, wanting to visit Alton Towers. Also locally there was a large Tesco store and filling station just across the road and a McDonalds within the hotel parking area. The Hotel is part of a Hungry Horse pub, so there was also a place to have breakfast (which we had included) or an evening meal. The food was excellent .The room was comfortable and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

Very little to dislike. There was no air conditioning in the room but we had a desktop fan which helped us to sleep. There were no usb charging points, or sockets by the bed. This did not bother us as there were enough sockets near the tv to charge our appliances. Also not healthy to charge near your head anyway. The shower was a fixed head but worked satisfactorily. These very minor observations are the only reason it doesn’t get a 10/10

Location was ideal for what we were looking for - a trip to Alton Towers & also to Birmingham. Staff were helpful & pleasant.

On the Thursday night we chose to eat in the restaurant. The food was great, but the bar was very rowdy. There was no separation wall between restaurant & bar. We were dining with young kids & we are sorry to report that there was quite a bit of swearing & bad language being used. This was to the point where our daughter was feeling quite scared & frightened by it. We spoke to a member of the waiting staff about it. It died down for 5 minutes, but then returned to the same volume & velocity as before.

It was clean, tidy and had the basics needed for a good night’s comfortable sleep. No aircon, but it is September so not needed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant and bar is a nice place to spend the evening before retiring for the night with a happy atmosphere. We were here as it is a short drive to Alton Towers.

For the price point it’s as expected. Nothing to dislike. If you are looking for modern or luxury then this isn’t it. If you are looking for a warm and comfortable night on the way to another destination then it’s just right.

Loved the staff, they were amazing. Friendly and helpful, couldn't fault any of them. The location was handy for stopping overnight on our way north on the M6. The beds were comfy and clean, towels were plentiful and clean too. The room was mostly clean and well stocked for hot drinks. The breakfast was great, well organised and the cooked food was delicious. There was a good choice for continental food too. The shower was great, really strong water pressure.

There was mould around the bath and window.

First time to book here, and the hotel is close to all amenities, and 5 minutes drive to the hall where I had a meeting. Macdonald is just opposite the hotel. Tesco & Aldi just across the road. They are in a chain with Hungry horse where you can just order food/room service ❤️ The lovely receptionist, Rebecca was very welcoming all throughout the checkin process. Thanks Becky! You made us feel home. The staff at the bar were lovely, although it was a busy Saturday night, they still managed to facilitate us with hot sweet potato chips and tender chicken fillets. Excellent service to all Staff & the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back❤️🙏

24 hour front desk/ night porter - easy check in. Very comfortable bedroom. Noon check out at weekends. Very engaging & helpful staff. Great variety of choices on the breakfast menus, and I believe you can request bespoke options Free hot drink refills!

The adjoining room was noisy, people having weekend fun I assumed.i was exhausted so luckily sleep came quickly. Premises could use an update in places, but it's exceptionally clean .

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here so knew what to expect. A basic but clean room, attached to pub with decent breakfast offering (or McDonalds across the carpark if that's more your thing). Good shower, decent size tv. Tesco supermarket across the road. We were the furthest room from reception so the wifi wasn't brilliant but staff came and resolved this for us.

Shower rail was held up with some parcel tape so that could have been better but it stayed up for the duration of our stay 😂

Very well furnished room, and the bathroom was great - shower was nice and hot. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was good - we did the Continental option. Usual food options, but no rush. Staff were great, very helpful.

One tiny thing - we were out very late one night, and came back about 01.00 in the morning. We had a code to get in, but the door had been bolted. Thankfully there was a member of staff around to let us in, but we'd not expected to have to call them.

The value for money as it included breakfast. Ideal location for what we needed

The breakfast wasn't what we remembered from the past. We like to help ourselves as we have eating disorders amongst us we personally felt what was on offer very limited. The cooked breakfast needed cooking which is fine but it was really small as we didn't eat everything on the set menu but cooled breakfast is a treat so when staying over that's what we look forward to. My breakfast in particular was very small.
