Brilliant location surrounded by Peak District country views. Fascination Hotel & Spa, beautifully and interestingly designed complex of rooms at different levels and beautiful different garden areas. Friendly professional staff. Pub customers separated from restaurant diners. Large car park. Lovely bedroom with ensuite, beautifully decorated and very clean. Country style decor in the restaurant, but the food has a wonderful Asian dinners] a well as British classics.
Several short staircases link the different levels, but there is a small lift that connects the same levels. This Inn is also a beautiful wedding venue (in a completely separate part of the hotel), so I do not know if the bar or restaurant service may be a little slower then.

The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was massive and so comfy. Our room was on the same floor as the spa so it was handy to get to. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, the restaurant was also outstanding, I would go back for the food alone.
There was honestly nothing I could fault, the only thing I could possibly say was that some of the facilities at the spa were closed and out of order, other than that everything was perfect.

Our room was very comfortable. Great to see that there was two chairs in our double room, so often we find that there’s only one. It was very clean and didn’t have the horrid smell of air freshener that we’ve found in other hotels. The rooms were away from the bar and restaurant. The outside eating areas and gardens were lovely and well maintained.
We were a bit concerned that our room was above a room with a hot tub outside which was just below our window. The weather was quite warm so we opened our window to cool the room down but then we could hear the people in the tub below. There was a bit of singing as well as talking, thank goodness they weren’t too loud.

All accommodation, food and drink fine.
Your systems seem administratively overbearing to me as a customer. You must have sent me more than a dozen emails since I confirmed my booking, many of them repetitive. You required prior online check-in, which when it came to it asked me to provide little more than I'd already provided to booking.com. I was surprised when having discovered you and found a price through booking.com that when then calling you direct, I was quoted a higher price, whereas hotel proprietors generally prefer a direct approach and offer something of a discount in acknowledgement that they're avoiding booking agency fees. In your case your receptionist was unable to even match the booking.com price, let alone better it.

Lovely location. Room was very comfortable with spa style toiletries in room and well-stocked guest tray (tea, Earl Grey tea, coffee, decaf coffee, Galaxy hot chocolate, quality biscuits). Rooms had good double glazing so were quiet. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food in restaurant was very tasty.
My only quibble is that I could not get the property’s wifi in my room. The signal was fine in my friend’s room (just a room away on the other side of the corridor) but neither she nor I had working wifi in my room.

Breakfast was a good selection with cooked to order hot meals and fresh pastries/fruit . Room was a bit small but we knew this when we booked ,also noise from other rooms so not very good sound proofing . The spa was good with very cheerful and helpful staff throughout the hotel/spa . Location good for walks .
Xmas turkey meal was £20 and no pigs in blankets or cranberry & bread sauce ,owner must be called Ebenezer ...Bah Humbug !!

Good location, Friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and meals Spotless rooms
Some rooms in close proximity to and overlooking spa pool this can be awkward for guests in pool and in rooms.. These rooms are quite noisy during the day with chatter from spa pool. Rooms vary in size despite the amount paid for the room.. (we had a change of room due to noise from spa., very different sizes) staff were happy to change our room. All rooms were spotlessly clean.

The room was small, well laid out and comfortable.
Our rooms were beside the flat roof of the bar, kitchen or dining room. On this roof were the extract machines and fans which emitted a constant drone in noise throughout the evening and night. This drone of noise blanked out what could have been nice countryside sounds, given the location. Also if we wanted early check at 1pm we would have to pay an additional £20 per room, diabolical.
