I’ve stayed at this property several times before and chose the small room as it is very good value and has everything I need for a comfortable stay. The shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water and the coffee bags and fresh milk are a nice touch. You can also normally park off road or if not, there is on street parking right outside. The property doesn’t do breakfast but I normally drive about half a mile to ‘Mill Street Kitchen’ an old fashioned cafe that does an excellent full English breakfast for £6.50 including fresh coffee!

The stairs up to the room are a bit steep so take care!

We loved our stay at The Fountain. I would agree with other reviewers and say that I was amazed how quiet it was at night. The room was cosy and peaceful, the young lady who welcomed us was really friendly and helpful. We had a drink in the pub the evenings we were there and it’s a fabulous proper old fashioned pub, we loved it. We only booked here because we could not get into our usual place we stay (we are regular visitors to Leek) but we would certainly return.

Space around the bed was pretty tight, but it really wasn’t a problem and I think more spacious rooms are available.

Comfy bed. Powerful shower. Clean. Little fridge with proper milk for coffee. Parking outside. Good location only few min walk from town. Good pub downstairs with ale for my partner and cider for me. 20 min drive to Luds Church walk and National Trust property Biddulph Grange.

Compact room (room 2) but big cupboard for bags. Would be quite hot in the summer although little fan provided. Soft pillows. Car got blocked in a few times with people parking in front of exit. May be worth putting up a sign to note that access is required.

Absolutely lovely room. Everything you need. Quick check in lovely clean room tea and Coffee available with biscuits, replenished when needed. Lovely clean pub.

Booking.com said parking available the pub only has two spaces to the side of the pub. We were lucky and got a space near the church opposite. Also, Booking.com said chocolate in the rooms for our guests, and apparently, this is something the pub has never offered! Naughty Booking.com !

Steep stairs to all room. no parking available even though it was advertised as parking on site. There were four rooms but only 2 parking spaces and as it was full both were taken throughout our stay Didn't like having to enter the entrance via a keypad directly from the street. I am partially sighted and when there were a pile of people outside the pub door I was embarrassed

Easy walk from property into Centre of Leek. Room was over a pub but still quiet. Bed was large & comfortable. All staff were helpful and friendly. Pub is popular with locals and has an amazing selection of real ales

It was fine for us but please note there is a long staircase up to the room. No car park but free parking is available in close proximity, higher up the street and on the other side of the church. Pub doesn’t serve food including at breakfast time but welcomes Take Away & offers utensils. There are lovely cafes & tea rooms close by.

Lovely comfy bed, room and bathroom very clean, and we had a great tea/coffee tray with biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge, which was replaced upon request. We were given a parking space which was great as we like to walk about as much as we can. Locals were friendly in the bar and there were fabulous real ales kept very nicely and at a reasonable price available. We visited Rudyard Lake and had very good weather.

No option for breakfast at the Hotel but that didn't matter, we walked to wetherspoons and had a bargain breakfast!

Location was as expected in Leek, didn't have breakfast. Room was very pleasant, clean and comfortable. Staff polite and helpful.

It should be made clear that there are only 2 parking spaces at the pub and roadside parking is very busy during the day. In the event I decided to leave my car at my friend's house which is a 5/10 minute drive, so no issue for me as I asked about parking in advance as it wasn't clear to me from my own research.

My second stay at the Fountain Inn for an event in town, the rooms are beautifully furnished, very comfortable beds and good quality bedlinen. Coffee, tea biscuits and a kettle are provided. Although the rooms are above the bar there's no noise. Room 1 is very spacious with a view of the church directly opposite, room 2 on my second stay is cosy although with a view of a car park - I stayed on a Saturday night when it was closed but possibly busy on weekdays. A very short walk into the town centre for pubs/cafes etc

The stairs up to the rooms are quite steep, the staff could have offered to carry my bag and provided a bit more of a welcome and information/ask if I needed to know more - took a while for me to realise there was fresh milk in the fridge in the cupboard. There was nowhere to park outside the pub on this occasion, and suggest to add as a request on booking, for 1 of the 2 spaces next to the pub, but there is parking nearby. Some suggestions for places for breakfast in the guest book would be useful. A full length mirror would be useful.

We were shown to our room through a private door to the side of the pub. The room lovely and the bed was very comfortable not the biggest room but very adequate for our two night stay. There was plenty of hanging space and shelves/drawers for your clothes. There was tea coffee and biscuits and also a fridge with milk in. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return again in the future.
