Absolutely loved this place. We were doing the limestone way and stopped here overnight on Monday. We stayed in room 9 and it was perfect! Very clean with a very comfortable bed and quiet room. We are light sleepers and rise at 5am on the dot usually but slept here for 9 hours till 6am. Great having tea/coffee/ biscuits too. The staff were so polite and friendly and gave us ice water as soon as we arrived given we’d walked 18 miles. We were shown up to our room - a bit of old fashion courtesy which was wonderful. We wanted to leave at 7.30 when breakfast started so they let us come in have continental breakfast at 7 which we really appreciated. The owner came to speak to us which was lovely and the breakfast lady was happy for me to take my breakfast away with and provided foil. Nothing was to much trouble we were amazed at how much they look after their guests which was refreshing. The garden was lovely too. We are here too in the evening - very popular place - food was delicious and the portion sizes large. We had fish and chips and the hallumi moussaka and loved it! We would highly recommend staying and eating here. It’s one of the most friendliest places we have stayed and we’ve stayed in a lot and everything was just so perfect. Thank you to everyone 🙏
Loved everything

Stunning room in a beautiful Hotel, super clean and the owners were so helpful and lovely to our daughter. Everyone was happy to help ir chat. The young barman was really helpful and happy too. Lovely relaxing break.
The honeymoon suite is absolutely stunning and perfect. The only suggestions we have, from other similar suites, would be to have better quality toilet roll and a few treats like handcream and body shampoo from l'occotaine or similar, a few luxury chocolates. But that literally is it. It was gorgeous.

A really beautiful place in a great location with very friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was very pleasant and it was very quiet at night, so we slept well. The room was also clean and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel with plenty choices for veggies. Options available to accommodate my gluten free diet too. Drinks in the bar by the fire was also very enjoyable. Breakfast was nice but not enough gluten free options.
No gluten free veggie sausages for breakfast or hash browns. Only vegan/dairy free dessert was ice cream so having another option would be good.

Beautiful property, beautifully location, very comfortable
All the staff that looked after us were very professional and very lovelly, I’m assuming the Irish guy was the hotel owner, found him very rude, towards our dogs, most annoyed that he had his own dog In the bar and was allowed to lay and sit on furniture wherever it chose. We were staying staying with our two dogs, one which is very hyper, and was told off for feeding our dog off our plates, very hypocritical when he had his own dog laid on the sofas. Spoilt our stay as it made us feel very uncomfortable.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was in an annex and was on the ground floor and dog friendly and quite spacious, the bed was large and comfortable and the bedroom was warm enough as the evenings were quite cold. One of the best features were the breakfasts which were freshly cooked with good ingredients and choice. The bar was quite comfortable and was a bit lively at times. The location was near the pretty town of Ashbourne and close to many tourist attractions
The hotel had a pre-ordering system for breakfast but sometimes still didn't get it right. Evening meals were quite reasonably priced but were a bit variable at times

Excellent overnight stay at the Bentley Brook Inn. Plenty of parking, easy access, great food, very pleasant staff and a lovely beer garden. Biker friendly. Our room was on the first floor. It was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed excellent fresh pizzas from the pizza oven in the beer garden in the evening, followed by a beautifully cooked breakfast the next morning. I would definitely stay here again.
Nothing comes to mind.

We only stayed the one night as we were up for a car event. As we were up super early we had to miss breakfast so can't comment on that. However we ate in the restaurant & both had the seabass & haggis terrine from the specials board. Absolutely amazing dish. Would go back just for that. Lovely Friendly staff. Clean & comfortable rooms. Great location and garden plus safe carpark. Will be back again.
Ladies toilets are a little small.

We went to Bentley Brook as a base to visit Alton Towers and it was an excellent choice. Being a pub with accommodation and food it had everything we needed after a hard day on rides 😀. The food was excellent both in taste and quantity and was good value for money - we ate in the evening and for breakfast and didn’t need lunch! The room was nice - a good size bed, was very clean and had a good view over the beautiful garden. The staff were very helpful and the pub had a book with local walks which they were happy to talk you through. After Alton we visited Dovedale which was fabulous.
The selection of white wine was a bit limited (I prefer old world and most of their choices were new world) but this was offset by an excellent range of gins and tonics.

The whole experience was excellent from the moment arrived, until we left, my friend and I were touring by motorbike and this was our last stay of our trip. It was without doubt the best by far, the staff were just lovely and really helpful. Our room was very nice, but the bed was so cosy and comfortable I had the best nights sleep of the entire trip! We must go back , silly not too! So thank you guys for a great stay.

Excellent hotel, excellent efficient staff, obviously very well trained.. friendly but detached Good food. One time they gave me the wrong specials menu , but refused to take the extra payment when they realised their mistake. I hardly know Derbyshire: the surrounding countryside is beautiful, and such contrasting landscapes close by...driving down the main A515 over the tops gives wide ranging views, but winding round the side roads to the west there are very steep sided valleys and odd abrupt hills
Unfortunately the location of the hotel made it difficult to walk or cycle out from the hotel because of the heavy lorry traffic. No real problem as there is so much interesting countryside a short drive away
