The B&B it’s perfect for a few days stay. It’s easy to reach, there is free car parking available and it’s close to the main attraction (e.g. we wanted to visit Chatsworth house). The bedroom is small but has everything it needs, it was very clear and there was a lot of attention to the details. The hosts are super nice, very polite but also caring. We also had a typical homemade English breakfast and they even provided me Gluten Free bread. Fully recommend, surely I’ll come back if I would visit again this area.
Nothing particular, the bathroom was a little small (but as expected) and had everything you need for a few days.

The host was very welcoming and helpful. We arrived early and they enabled us to enter the B&B using a key safe. Breakfast was cooked as we wished. The bed was comfortable and although the property is on a busy main road the triple glazing kept out any noise. The whole place was well maintained and homely.
Only a few minor downsides - the stairs to the rooms are very steep, difficult for anyone with mobility problems, and the chairs in the room were not very comfortable. Parking was slightly difficult on the sloping drive with limited room to reverse out.

The host Yvonne was amazing lady. She was very friendly when we got there. Our bedroom was so beautiful. And very very clean. We was left with coffee tea sugar biscuits. Milk water in fridge. The bed set was stunning the bathroom was amazing again very clean. Beautiful view from the window. Then to finish our morning of with amazing full breakfast all nice and warm. Extra toast nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely visit again when we are down that way. Z thanks Yvonne and graham for our lovely stay over xxxxxxxxxxxxx
There was Nothing at all you didn’t like. So beautiful with beautiful lady and husband thanks. Both of you we had a wonderful evening and breakfast

Breakfast was excellent, great food, and choices for all, cereal, toast, juice, fell English. Very good
The worse thing about the whole stay was the parking….. parking is totally adequate - and for a 200 yr old building more than I’d expect.. just needs a little more thought. The road can be busy at times and reversing of the drive would not be recommended. There’s space to turn a larger vehicle but it is a bit of a shuffle and several slopes plus other guest cars parked around means manuvering could be more involved. Just needs a bit more thought. But can be done.

Yvonne gave a warm welcome & showed us to our room. Our room was lovely. 4 poster bed, separate bathroom away from bedroom in private hallway. Room was clean & even though room is near main room, the soundproofing is amazing. Breakfast was cooked to order & was lovely. A lovely overnight stay & so lucky to have been in the area to see the Northern lights.
No major issues at all for us. The B&B is on main road, a little care needed entering & leaving. People may have issue with the staircase, if they have mobility issues as they may be steep to others.

Can't recommend Slayleigh enough! I had to travel alone for a charity event as my husband was unwell and I was made to feel so comfortable by the hosts. When I got there I was worrying about reversing out of the carpark onto the main road so Graham turned my car round so I could just drive out in the morning. I didn't fancy going out for food on my own so Yvonne made me a pizza and a gin and just made me feel so welcome. The beds! Omg they're so comfortable and the pillows were unreal. Gorgeous full English in the morning to set me up for my hike. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The location was ideal, and even though the B&B was on a main road, the windows are tripled glazed and it's very quiet. The bed was super comfy, and the morning breakfast was great. We loved our room, and our private bathroom was just opposite. The added touch of a fridge and the super quiet fan was appreciated. We would definitely revisit.

Yvonne is such a lovely host! She made us feel right at home with her love and warmth. She made delicious breakfasts for us including pancakes and fruit, salmon and poached eggs and full veggie English. She even got me mushroom sausages as I don’t like corn ones! She made the room beautifully clean and dressed up! A home from home stay!

I absolutely loved staying at this B&B. The host is wonderful. The decor was so charming and it felt so cozy and comfortable. The bathroom is small but I was glad to have a private bathroom. Would highly recommend to those who are traveling to the enchanting Matlock. It made this part of our travels our favorite.

really lovely host who couldnt have been more helpful and nicer than she was!!.. thanks! hot tub was a bonus🤙 really excellent breakfast .11 out of 10! the property is on main bus route from matlock to bakewell etc which is great if you are not driving
only slight quibbles/suggestons .. the check in is a little late(4pm) and check out is early(10.15) would have liked a another pillow(not the big cushion) and perhaps 90 mins for the hot tub for the£40.. instead of just an hour , as it was lovely but the hour went to quickly!!but obviously they are expensive to run
