Sharon was an exceptional host, very communicative and accommodating, sending me details of how to reach the property from the main road. The house is lovely, spotlessly clean with huge rooms and great views of the Amber Valley. There was plenty of parking and I was met at the door. The bathroom was enormous, with a fantastic shower (tons of heat, loads of pressure) and the breakfast in the morning was cooked swiftly and perfectly. I honestly couldn’t fault either Sharon or the hotel itself. I had a great night’s sleep (it’s so quiet!) and the room was beautifully furnished with a huge bed. Even the towels smelled lovely.

This is a truly beautiful property. The house has been renovated and decorated to the highest standards. The views from the massive room were excellent & it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Sharon was the perfect host, friendly and attentive & I think we could have chatted all day. There is a nice five minute walk to a pond with several ducks. The breakfast was cooked freshly & to perfection. There was also a really good selection of cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurts available too. We are definitely thinking of a return visit next year but probably for a couple of nights next time as there are so many places of interest not too far away.

We really couldn't fault anything.

The property is set in its own grounds that is being renovated over time to a high standard. The house is lovely and the rooms and bathrooms are very large and really well presented but the biggest plus is the cleanliness. Every aspect of the room and bathroom was spotless - a real credit to the owner who looks after the property herself. The owner was welcoming and friendly and she cooked a lovely breakfast in the morning with summer fruits and yoghurt followed by a full english - thanks Sharon..!

The blinds are not blackout blinds and in the summer the sun rises very early...some nice curtains on the windows would finish the room off beautifully..

Pure luxury and quality. A posh place to stay but Not snobby. Lovely views from the room and dining room. Immaculately swish furniture and pristinely clean too. Local walks from the property. Delicious generous breakfast with lots of choice. A delightful place to stay and a host to match. Totally kind and helpful people.

There was nothing that I didn't like about the whole stay, apart from my own stupidity misplacing my bag.

The views were beautiful, the room was very spacious, the shower huge and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from and your poached eggs were perfect each time sharon!! The hostess, sharon, was lovely. We are at a very local pub each evening, the village inn, which Sharon recommended which was very good prices and tasty. It was very close to Denby pottery and the British car museum which we were there for. We would definitely recommend staying here!!

Nothing to dislike.

Sharon was so friendly and welcoming. Tasty breakfast with fruits, yogurts, cereals and a range of cooked breakfast options - we opted for full cooked breakfast and it was delicious! The one day we had to leave early, she left us fruits and pastries in our room - this was her going above and beyond what was normally offered and very gratefully received! Beautiful setting and room was absolutely spotless, and I can be quite picky! We stayed in the largest room and there was so much space to relax. The towels smelt lovely and the bed was so comfortable. Details such as plush toilet paper really made the difference from other places.

That we couldn't stay longer!

Excellent fresh cooked breakfast, and lovely friendly hosts. Beautiful views...if the weather is good ! Huge room and a shower so big you could shower the whole family at once. Quality materials and fittings throughout the house.

Exterior is still a bit 'work in progress' but did not take anything away from our lovely night there. Impossible to find without directions...but Sharon emailed with 'where to turn'....so no problem at all !

The hosts Sharon and Edward at this charming luxurious farmhouse were truly exceptional! From the moment that we arrived, they made us feel welcome and at home. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our stay, from the cleanliness of the accommodation to the delicious breakfast they served each morning. The cleanliness of the accommodation was top-notch. It can be difficult to find a place that is both comfortable and spotless, but this charming luxurious farmhouse nailed it. The hosts clearly takes great pride in maintaining a clean and tidy space for their guests, ensuring that you feel comfortable and at ease throughout your stay.

From the photo's, reviews and ratings, I expected excellence and there was no doubt it was delivered. Large, impeccable room, great furniture, lovely art on walls, bed and bedding were outstanding. All windows opened (which isn't always the case!) and were really clean offering abundant sky and scenery. The bathroom was huge with 3 sets of windows and a statement bath! Breakfast delivered everything you could need in a really lovely room and the cooked items were perfection. Very much looking forward to returning as the Host was so welcoming and friendly - top marks in every category!

Disappointed I could only stay for 1 night, but that can be rectified by a return!

I booked this hotel for my parents who were visiting the distillery nearby. My parents came back from their mini break, wanting to go back for a longer stay. Never have I heard my parents speak so highly of a hotel. From the moment they arrived to when they left they felt as though they'd stayed at a friend's. The bedroom was relaxing and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious. Sharon was amazing and communicated very efficiently. My mum left her phone charger. Not a problem, it was posted back.

Absolutely nothing.
