We thought the room and the building were lovely. Shower was powerful and hot no matter when you turned it on . Staff were really nice and friendly.

We spoke to other guests, who like us, drove past the b&b as we couldn't see the sign or the turning in the dark. Maybe a little light near the sign or reflective bollards to draw peoples attention to it. Also it would be good to have maybe hash browns or black pudding on the breakfast menu as due to not liking eggs or mushrooms there wasnt a big choice for me.

The location was great. We could walk to Chatsworth. The area is beautiful. The property is old, but updated. Bathroom and shower were wonderful. There is no air conditioning, which is ok. The room, #3, had a water heater in the closet that made it warm. In the cooler months that would be great. In warmer months, not so much. Breakfast was good and hosts were nice.

The pictures do not show that there is a caravan/camping park in the back of the house. Messed the view up.

The bed, the bed linen and the pillows were possibly the best bed I have slept in! That really was a treat.

My one disappointment was the lack of a decent light for the bathroom mirror which is really important if I want to shave without nicking myself. Yes, there was a "mirror light" but it did not actually produce any extra light to shave by. I know this sounds very picky - and it is - but I really do appreciate decent bathroom lighting when I find it. This was the one thing that let down my otherwise beautiful and very comfortable room!

The location of the property was excellent and had stunning views of Chatsworth Park. The access to the park couldn't have been any better as there was a gate just outside the car park, it was a shame that Chatsworth house was still closed for winter but we were still able to walk round the park and see the deer. Heathy Lea is a lovely period property, tastefully decorated and the room and on suite bathroom are spacious and exceptionally clean. There is a good choice for breakfast both cereals and cooked breakfast served to your table by friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Sally was extremely helpful with directions to the property on our arrival. We would definately recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

Really bright sunny and tastefully decorated bedroom with lovely views, clean well appointed bathroom. Really friendly and welcoming hosts and kind enough to show us how to walk across to Chatsworth house after our fabulous breakfast. Also very easy walk into Baslow for evening meals.

Took some finding due to the reference to the Robin Hood pub and it is actually very easy to find if they just say it’s about 400 yards on the right after the Baslow roundabout.

Location was excellent. Nice view of the estate. Breakfast was very good and well organised. Room was a nice size.

Only small point, the my sat nav took us too far up the road, if the sign post at the roadside for the B&B was lit up we may of seen this, as it was dark when we arrived and drove past the turning.

Location was excellent in the grounds of Chatsworth House. Hosts very accommodating and let us park our car early on the day we checked in. Good choice at breakfast. Spacious room.

Water in shower cold in afternoon when arriving back from a long walk. Pillows uncomfortable. Blind in bathroom needs to be replaced with something more suitable.

Perfect location with views over Chatsworth estate. Nothing like a B&B I had envisaged. Room was clean and had everything needed for a stay. Water was lovely and hot with nice bath and shower. Staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect. Heathy Lea is the perfect rural retreat with walks over the Chatsworth estate and a short walk to the Devonshire Arms for excellent food.

If there was one fault with the room it would be that the bathroom needed a screen over the window, but, that is really just putting something in this box.

The room was beautifully appointed with incredible views over the Chatsworth Estate and the wildlife (including red deer) that live there. Breakfast was delicious and the lovely lady who hosted us couldn't have been nicer... even with my strange breakfast requests! There's private access directly onto the estate from the B&B so you can walk until your heart's content, and a selection of lovely pubs in Baslow. 10 minutes from Bakewell we felt spoilt for options. We will be returning!

Nothing. It was perfect. We could have stayed a lot longer!

Location excellent couldn’t ask for better, lovely countryside outside the front door and half hour walk along path to Chatsworth House and same to village of Baslow.

B&B fantastic, if I was to nitpick maybe a small fridge in the room , although they did have a communal one in the dining room
