The location is great as long as you are happy to walk out, it took it around 30 mins over fields to get in to Ashbourne, we were giving a very detailed map from the hotel and it was easy to follow. On the way home we came the road way which is much flatter. The hotel itself was fabulous, your dogs are treated like royalty and the staff were all really great, very knowledgeable about the menu and local area. The butter chicken is the nicest I have ever tasted and the breakfasts are freshly cooked with local quality foods. The rooms are comfy and quiet. We will return.
Nothing, they have thought of everything!

We loved the location! Really peaceful and quiet. The room was really comfy and we had a lovely view out of the front of the pub. Food and menu was fabulous and breakfast was great. Loved the professional attitude of the staff.
We booked dinner for 6, and we checked in at 4.30. Spoke to a staff member who said our table was already reserved so we could eat dinner whenever we liked. We got changed and was downstairs in 15 minutes, but the table had other people on it. We were then told by another staff member that we could have our table at 6pm only - so we had to wait an hour and 15 minutes. It was fine as we were ready for a drink anyway, just a point.

A really nice winter getaway. We stayed the Saturday night in a nice family room. (Two connected rooms). We were warmly welcomed, all staff very friendly and helpful. Our greyhound was made to feel like a queen. (We really recommend if you want a comfortable place to stay and are with your dog). Great food - evening meal and cooked breakfast. Comfy and warm room, quiet, had a great night’s sleep and nice view from our windows. A great base for nice walks too. Would definitely recommend.
The bathroom was chilly, in contrast to the toasty bedrooms, maybe because it was not insulated above. (And it was a cold January weekend). But had plenty of hot water and towels etc.

Wonderful family (and more importantly pet…) friendly accommodation. The even brought a dog bed in for our pooch for the evening so he was comfy (he still chose to lie in the hard food though!!). Nestled perfectly within the countryside with beautiful scenery all around - lots of lovely walks available too that you can do from the front door. Food was incredible (I even took some in a takeaway box as I wasn’t prepared to leave it!!), and staff were incredible. We were made to feel as though nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning.

The location is great if you enjoy walking - some lovely walks from the doorstep. Very dog-friendly, helpful as we had our dog staying with us. Staff were friendly and accommodating. View across the valley from bedroom was lovely. Breakfast was good, evening meals also good though inconsistent.
For the bedroom, unfortunately the shower cubicle was poorly fitted with doors not closing properly. Staff were aware of this. One of our meals was poorer quality on the 2nd night than 1st night. Staff took this on board and discounted it. Otherwise all good.

Loved alot about this pub/B&B. The staff were super friendly, food was out of this world, location was great! very dog friendly, even had a bed for our dog. Sunday lunch was the best we have ever had, and we do love a roast! lovely dog walks at the door and river for those swimmer dogs!
I have given this place 10/10 purely due to the amazing staff and delicious food but was a little disappointed with the bedding, was quite scratchy and bobbly, didn't make the bed the most comfortable and the quilt didn't fit the cover. picky I know but I like nice bedding. But the other bits outweighed this!

Fabulous location with plenty of parking. The staff are very friendly, courteous and professional, the owner is absolutely lovely. Generous with her time and happy to chat to make us all feel welcome and at home. The food was very good, the breakfast was well cooked and a generous enough portion to make sure you were full.
Tiny issue with a broken coat hook on the en-suite door and one on the main door, but these were nothing to detract from a lovely stay.

Beautiful pub in a lovely area. All staff were so polite and friendly and could not do enough for you. The food was amazing. We stayed bed and breakfast, and the cooked breakfast was delicious. We also ate in the evening and there's a good selection of food to choose from. We had a curry and it was very nice. All the food looked lovely. The room was spacious and overlooked fields. Beautiful views. It had a good sized bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent food both in quality and quantity terms. Very pretty pub in an equally pretty location, just slightly off the beaten track, but in fact less than 10 minutes drive from a main town. Very friendly and helpful staff, a good selection of beers to choose from, and friendly chats with the locals who also eat and drink there (always a good sign of a nice place). Very accommodating of dogs which would encourage me to come back with mine, especially considering the walking opportunities direct from the pub.
Some of the single beds were a little hard/uncomfortable for my liking, but only slightly so.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. An immediately happy and welcoming atmosphere on arrival. When taken to our room we were so delighted at how beautiful it was. I very much had furniture envy. There was a sweet little twin room a few steps down from the double room, giving children and parents their own space. I would highly recommend this accomodation. A welcome relax during a hefty roadtrip - thanks so very much!
Nothing at all. I loved it all. From the friendly welcome, to the food, to the comfortable beds. No negative comments at all.
