Me and my mum recently stayed at the monkey house B+B for a two night stay at the end of August 2024 before we enjoyed a day at nearby modershall oaks spa retreat which was a lovely treat. We both felt as though we had a relaxed and pleasant experience at the B+B Chrissie and Noel were both friendly and ensured that we had everything we needed for our stay. There home has a cosy feel to it it's lovely and quiet and was very clean. We were the only guests staying at the time on our visit so had the ensuite bathroom to ourselves which was a bonus. Breakfast was lovely I missed having my usual cooked breakfast option although what was offered was really nice including a choice of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, and lovely bread for toast. I enjoyed sitting at the dining room table in the morning having a chat with Chrissie and Noel getting to know them they seem nice people and it was interesting seeing examples of Chrissie's lovely art work around the house and Noah's photography they are clearly talented people with a gift. We used a local taxi company which was brilliant over the two days called Star cars who were quick and reliable. We would recommend staying at the Monkey house if your staying in the area of stone or nearby and we are going to hopefully book in with them again at the end of the year as we will be doing our Christmas shopping at Queen's retail park which we discovered during our visit. My mum missed having a TV in the room this can be personal preference although Chrissie and Noel have a lovely comfortable lounge area downstairs with a T.V in if guests wanted to access it.

Chrissy had excellent communication prior to our trip. She welcomed us, showed us round and gave us space to settle. Breakfast was self serve and had plenty of options. Chrissy and Noel went over and beyond to make my kids feel comfortable. Shower was lovely, beds were really comfortable. It was lovely to have the sitting room in the mornings for cartoons and access to the beautiful garden. It honestly was a home from home. Will return again on our next trip to see family.

The room was quiet bright as the curtains were not blackout. However, this did not affect the quality of our trip or our sleep at all. Just something to consider if traveling with infants.

The Monkey House B&B is a lovely little place to stay in the small town of Stone. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts Chrissie and Noel (and of course little Bella). We were given most of the top floor and a living room to ourselves with two great rooms with plenty of space and comfiness. Would recommend if you are planning to stay in the area for a couple of days.

If I had to write anything it's that the breakfast options were limited and not cooked but if that's the only thing I can complain about I think we're onto a winner.

Chrissie and Noel were very welcoming. Bella the dog was well behaved and friendly. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. There were tea making facilities available upstairs too. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower was hot and powerful. House rules were reasonable. Breakfast was great: I don't eat a lot for breakfast but there is plenty if you are a foodie.

It would be good to be able to eat upstairs, but there were no problems with using the kitchen. Struggling to think of anything that I didn't like.

Lovely comfortable warm room, with every thing you need available to hand. Continental breakfast included all you could want. Lounge with TV, good internet and ability to access tea & coffee making included. Shower pressure and hot water service excellent. Hosts most amenable and sociable.

Christina and Noel were both fantastic hosts. They were friendly and extremely responsive right from when we first booked and had queries about whether the room would be suitable for us if travelling with a baby. Christine was also very helpful on the day we were due to check in - for some reason the booking was not showing my end on the website, leaving us a bit concerned! We were surprised to find out that they had not long been running as a B&B, they gave the appearance that they had been in the business for years. They were always asking if there was anything else we needed and offered to go and buy alternatives for breakfast, but we really couldn't have needed anything else there. It was particularly unexpected and a lovely touch that they had a high chair, making breakfast with our 10 month old a lot easier. I also do not think that I have ever come across a property with such high cleaning standards. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Lovely accommodation and breakfast. Relaxing guest lounge downstairs was great. Rooms are not en suite and you are well advised of that on the on line description and in the confirmation. Easy walk into Stone for evening dinner.

Chrissie and Noel were great hosts, making us very welcome. Comfortable beds and accommodation. Enjoyed the breakfast and the location suited us well.

All good. A little noisy at night as facing onto a main road.

Breakfast was great for us. especially as my wife's dietary requirements were catered for; the hosts went out of their way to ensure that this was so.

The second bed was a little on the narrow side for me, but it was still comfortable and I got a good sleep.

It was close to town and handy shops. Well placed for walking and room for car parking. There were lots of maps and brochures about the area . The hosts were kind and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble.
