We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and there were even homemade flapjacks to greet us on arrival! The room was very comfortable and relaxing. There is great attention to detail with Victorian furnishings and styling, reflecting the interesting history of the building. Also, we are vegetarian and it was great that there were a variety of cooked breakfast options for us. It was a treat to stay here and we would definitely stay here again.

Warm and welcoming hosts. Fabulous house and wonderful, comfortable, room and bathroom - with a fantastic shower. The library provided a great space to chill out and relax with a good selection of interesting books - including what felt like a complete collection of Terry Pratchett books, which is great for fans (like me!). Tea/coffee-making materials included Jammy Dodgers: who could fault that ? Location is great for those travelling up or down the M6 or as a base for local exploration. Local town with facilities is about a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was outstanding. I promised Helen I would not give her an 8. But I will. Plus a 9. And a 10. And an 11. This place is easily worth five stars and, without doubt, is one of the top three B&Bs we have visited over the years. VERY highly recommended.

The only thing we didn't like was having to leave such a lovely house and its warm and welcoming hosts.

There was not a lot that we didn’t like about the house. The beds were great the welcoming was lovely the breakfasts were extremely well thought out with plenty of choices, Andy’s scrambled egg was spot on and the flapjack was super.

Perhaps the only small problem we had was that it was a little cold in the evening but other than that we had a great stay. Thank you

Cannot fault one bit. Faultless communication, fantastic building with it's history kept pristine. A tour provided so we knew everything we needed. Our hosts were so wonderful! Car charging available (book beforehand). Comfortable bed is an understatement, china cups, little hidden treats if you explore the history 😉 This is the definition of a B & B in the UK. Perfection personified. We will definitely be back.

So much effort and care has been put into creating a really comfortable and luxurious place to stay. It's such a fantastic experience. It really is. Even more importantly, is the hosts kindness and caring. Andy and Helen are not only extremely professional, but they take real pride in making sure your stay is the best it can be. Thi guest house is superb in every way . beautifully decorated, furnished and kept throughout. The room we stayed in was delightful with a very specious and well equipped en suite bathroom. Attention to detail though is Eagle house s signature with lovely and very accommodating owners.

Beautiful building, a true gem. Probably the best shower I have had at any accommodation, pressure and temp were perfect. Breakfast was perfect. Bedroom is well lit, well decorated and warm (Stay was in winter) Bed was extremely comfortable and I was well rested for the work day ahead. Helen and Andy are exceptional host. I loved the snacks provided around the room

Beautiful decor and gorgeous room with a free standing bath in the bathroom. Loved the little touches that were vegan friendly (vegan flapjacks, biscuits and soya milk) and lovely friendly welcome. Quiet and private room where we were left in peace. Perfect location as a 5 minute walk into Eccleshall.

Room was very warm at night and we couldn’t get the thermostat to work, we kept trying to change the temperature but it did not react.

Helen and Andy were very welcoming and helpful and the homemade flapjack on arrival was delicious. The room was very clean and comfortable. We found the history of the house very interesting and it was great to be able to find out about it. The house was conveniently located to visit the lovely little town. The breakfast was delicious.

I missed that on booking the self-catering apartment there was no breakfast, but that could be had 10 minutes down the road at the Flour & Co. restaurant, very nice food there. Lovely flat, very comfortable bed, quiet, hot shower. All in all perfect! Wonderful hosts.

For once, nothing I can think of, except clean the rust off the shower lights. Wow, that is rare for me after all these years...
