Brilliant. A tiny bit rough around the edges, but it looks like work in progress. Parking was brilliant and free. We were in the car park building rooms - some ppl rate badly. They were great. Not 5* or anything, but again you could see they have put work in, and I think they've prioritised the right things. Keep this place running well, and I bet they'll invest more money. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Legit amazing. Great size and fantastic value. Please keep this amazing breakfast - it would defo tempt me back. I went with Mrs and kids. It was fantastic. Staff all ridiculously nice and helpful. You can see that overall they are learning how to run it really well, but I think they are doing brilliantly. Keep up the good work

Such a nice historical place that's been lovingly restored and has very nice genuine people running the Crown Hotel in the centre of Stone. Brilliant location being in walking distance of everything local, with great customer care and a well-presented breakfast. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I'd booked in until the time I had to go home, I appreciated all that the staff had done to ensure my first visit to their Hotel and too Stone, was a memorable occasion, I will certainly visit Stone and stay at the Crown Hotel again. Did I mention this place has a stage for live entertainment and a cool bar with a DJ at weekends plus an authentic Indian Restaurant, what's not to like, book and be Happy ☺️

The location is excellent, being in the centre of the town of Stone, Staffordshire. The room allocated was in the annexe which was easily accessed however the shower only had cold water so staff changed our room to another also in the annexe. The shower worked for the 1st day in the 2nd apartment but after that we couldn't get hot water so just had strip washes. A nuisance but we didn't want to move again. The bed was very comfortable and everything looked clean and tidy. There was a kettle with tea bags and coffee sachets as well as small containers of milk. I struggled with internet access but the staff checked and I just used internet elsewhere.

Cold showers! Moved rooms to one with hot water but after one day that also was cold. We didn't report this again as we probably were doing something wrong. Slow or non-existant internet in the room but again I was using a european sim card so only on hotel internet and not on my contract internet.

It is good value for money, stayed here 2 nights. The room was very spacious and clean, had plenty of tea/coffee facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Our room had a smart TV, the only hotel to have one in the handful of ones we've stayed at recently so we were very made up with that. It was quiet in the room we weren't disturbed at all other than staff hoovering but you can't complain about cleaning. :)

The bed was a little hard but for just a 2 night stay it was bearable.

Rooms immaculate worn due to previous misuse, damage/ stains on cabinet caused by heat? Staff 100% attentive all my needs, very quiet bar area however, staff available throughout evening! Morning breakfast was well prepared and refills if required, staff always polite and always at hand.

Lack of choice of drinks but understand this was due to delivery problems, however, my taste was catered for but other customer were observed leaving to go elsewhere.

The staff were all so amazing. Very friendly and helped to carry our bags to the room. The welcome drink on arrival was a lovely idea. Our room was so spacious and exceeded our expectations. Perfect location in the town.

Would have liked a hot breakfast option instead of a continental but what was provided was OK. Although we ended up going out for breakfast. Noise from local bar across the way kept us awake during the hours of 2-3am but aware this cant be helped and due to the age of the building windows cant be changed to block out the noise.

The location was perfect for us. We like old buildings so this hotel fitted right in with us. We were treated with utter respect by the staff and would like to say a special thanks to them. We enjoyed breakfast, which was the perfect amount for us and made to order. I actually expected a lot of noise at this hotel but to be honest, it was very quiet and as we don’t worry about views too much our room at the back meant no traffic.

Location was perfect for the evening venue on the High Street. The room was clean with everything I needed. When I requested an iron and ironing board, it arrived very quickly. Members of staff were very welcoming.

Although modern, the room was getting quite tired. The shower control had bits missing and the water temperature control was sensitive. The grouting was crumbling and the light units next to the bed were loose.

Value for money. Friendly staff and a great restaurant with good food. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Staff and restaurant staff were very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Rooms are basic but I've paid more for less. Restaurant is very well presented and great food of an evening. We didn't have the breakfast so i can't comment. Positioned well and when work being undertaken is finished, I can imagine it be ideal for parties and weddings, but only if prices remain the same with the rooms. I considered it value for money and the building to be very nice, not what I was expecting. Quite grand.

Spent 3 days here recently and for what we were charged, it was far superior to expectations. There were signs up apologising for any inconvenience during renovations but we didnt experience any and the only thing we even saw was someone carrying cable trunking up the stairs to the room he was presumably renovating. I gather the place has had some renovations done since the current owners took over and it was very clean and tidy everywhere, be it the bar, breakfast room/coffee lounge or restaurant. Downstairs toilet facilities were also very clean. Carpets throughout the stairs and landings were very plush and you could tell they were of good quality. On to our room and we were very impressed. Again, very plush carpet that your feet just sank in to. Clean, simple decor and excellent facilities. Beautiful en suite with bath and shower. The bedding was of very good quality and seemed like it was brand new and the bed itself was extremely comfortable. We both had 2 very good nights sleep and felt very refreshed in the mornings. Breakfast was delicious and appeared to be made to order rather than cooked in advance and then just plated up when needed. Speaking of food, our experience on the night we dined in the restaurant was just superb. The most delicious Indian meal we have ever had, brilliantly presented and exquisite to taste. The food was simply divine! Now for the staff. We were made to feel very welcome by every single member of staff we encountered. Be they receptionists, bar staff, restaurant staff or the men doing the renovations. All were extremely friendly, pleasant,polite and respectful whilst remaining professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall a fantastic place, highly recommended and one we would definitely stay in again.
