Staff were welcoming and helpful, I really appreciated the ground floor room as I had dogs with me. My room was a lovely size and very comfortable

Nothing bad about the actual hotel but it was a shame that some of the other dog owners allowed their dogs to make a mess and not clean up after them. It upsets me that I have well trained dogs that do not mess indoors and that I pick up after outside, as well as bringing crates for them to sleep in and sheets to put over sofas etc to prevent hair being transferred by brushing past the furniture, and yet the selfish actions of others may stop me being able to take my dogs to this really nice hotel 😢

We were vey impressed to find the hotel was so pet friendly, we did not feel we were a nuisance or bother to the staff or other guests; everyone was so friendly. Because of our stay date no meal was available in the evening but we were directed to over the road, only 2 mins away to either a Fast Food or Green King Restaurant which we chose. Again our dogs were welcomed and the food and drink were exxcellent. On breakfast in the hotel we were offered suages and water for our dogs too!!! Will come again but ask that pet costs per stay do not increase as we have 2 dogs - many thankss!!!

Nothing really, only maybe a paper in the morning but this is only a thought, Everything was fine!!!

The staff are super friendly and very kind (I have a broken leg at the moment, in a wheelchair & hopping on sticks, really looked after me & more important my Wife who is doing all the ‘leg’ work while I can’t!). Room was warm, cozy and the bed comfortable. Had a beer in the bar, once again very kind staff. Hotel drinks are never cheap but it was no more expensive here than anywhere else. Range was good too, which is unusual for a hotel. Took a pizza for supper, delicious and again not a rip off. Breakfast was included & jolly good. Can’t find any faults and recommend.

Needed to stop on a roadtrip and have previously stayed in a different chain in Stafford. That was not a great experience. This stop at Holiday Inn Express was different. The staff were friendly & helpful. We needed to park our 6metre long campervan in the car park and were helped with that. The bedroom with clean & functional, the breakfast was self service but very good - lots of choice and well laid out. The staff member who welcomed us was - along with all other staff we met, friendly and smiley.

I am allergic to dogs & cats and requested a room that had not been visited by them. The receptionist told me she couldn't guarantee that however they tried to keep pets to the ground floor. We were on 1st floor. Personally I'm fed up going to hotels and finding dogs and cats are allowed in rooms that I have to sleep in. I wouldn't do this at home and I find it unhygienic and of course could be very adverse to my health. No animals in hotel rooms please.

The reception and waiting staff were very nice and good to deal with.

The head housekeeper pounded on our door and demanded that we get out after the first night of our two night stay. It was a mix up with reception that was soon solved. However, we are not used to being spoken to in that rude manner. We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past but we will have to consider if we are going to stay again considering the behavior we encountered. We will be traveling north soon and have decided to stay elsewhere for this time, at least, since we want this to be a pleasant trip. Staying again so soon after that episode is not on the cards!

The ease and convenience was one of the greatest joys of booking with you! Breakfast being included was a huge bonus, and the ease of booking via the app was an excellent touch. The app made it especially easy to check and review my booking.

On entering (baring in mind this was nearly 1am), the person at front-of-house was not overly happy to greet us and not particularly welcoming, but this may have been due to the time of our arrival. Everyone else was lovely, and even the front-of-house-man who checked us in gave us all the information needed.

For me it is always a good staff along with facilities. I can compromise in facilities. We were greeted by Edel and it was a superb welcome She was cheery, warm and very sweet. A little compliment for my daughter made our day. The place was. ice and clean. I had requested for extra duvet which was provided. The breakfast buffet was great.

I like fried egg for my breakfast and they were not provided. We only scrambled eggs. The space between the table and the sofa bed was vert tight and we struggled to keep the chair in its place so it was moved next to the door.

The room was nice and clean and so was the bathroom ALL GOOD.our room was always nice and clean and good staff. Thank you for our stay x The breakfast room was very clean and presentable and homely . The reception staff first class .Hope to be yoir guests again . It’s a good location near to all amenities.🏡😍

The mattress es were too springy offering no support for side sleepers. Sorry I didn’t like the pillows .The soft one seemed too worn .The three didn't compliment my sleep because of arthritis in my neck. Every thing was satisfactory ..ps I think the slopping wood looks tacky not nice for HOLIDAY INN..A lighter blue over the bed would be nice . Still a great place and very close to an excellent Mc DONALDS RESTAURANT.CANT GET BETTER THAN THAT AND A PUB. 🤗

First time that we have stayed at this hotel. The reception staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. We checked in late and they couldn't have been nicer. Our room was clean and the bathroom was bright with a super shower. Hair dryer and iron were great additions. Everything worked. The breakfast was delicious with as much as you wanted, it set us up for the day. We had two dogs with us and they were never a problem to the staff. I particularly liked the dog goody bags that were given on arrival, a really nice touch. This is definitely a venue that we will stay at again.

The M6 motorway is noisy if you opened the windows but with them closed you couldn't hear a thing.

The staff are lovely; the bed comfortable, I like the tea and coffee. Using an 'accessible room' meant I had a sit down stool in a 'wet room' style shower - much easier. I really like the separate light switches, I could turn them off from the bed. WiFi signal is excellent. Although undergoing refurbishment on our second stay, the food was great and it was no hardship. The location is so simple to reach straight off the motorway, and yet quiet for such close proximity.

Not a darn thing! I like this Holiday Inn and will use it again.
